SATC 2 is a fun, breezy and fabulous film that marks a return to the tone of the series. I was disappointed with the first movie because I felt it deviated too much from what made the series so much fun to watch. SATC 2 was the movie the first should have been. The clothes were exciting and fun and the ladies had a joy that filled the screen. The 2 hour 27 minute running time felt like 90 minutes--terrifically paced.
I loved the film so this was a terrific way to spend an afternoon at the cinema.

okay. I expected more from the clothes. Other than Cynthia Nixon's character the rest came off as spoiled, selfish, clueless and patronizing. Carrie and Big were all out annoying. NOT as good as the first one.

This is a good movie to see with friends. I liked the plot, but I think a few parts it could have been shortened. The some of the clothes were just too way over the top! But, the acting was good, and the storyline was fun. If you like the show...you will iove the movie!

I don't think non-SATC would appreciate this film. But for SATC fans this is a must watch I just hope and know there's a part 3... Everything from the gals, to the guys and Abu Dhabi in between... haanji this was worth every minute!

As a Sex and the City fan I was really disappointed in the movie. Instead of pushing the envelope, they made Samantha somewhat gross. The coincidence of Aiden being in Abu Dhabi was a bit much. It's sorta like the writers didn't know what to do so they threw everything into the sink. The first one was so much better. Liza was fabulous, however!

Since I have seen all the seasons of Sex in the City and the first movie I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. The girls are getting older,and their lives have changed, but they still have that special bond of friendship. It was sad or depressing, just entertaining. The ladies came back in full force. The movie was quite entertaining, full of great fashion, beautiful architecture, and handsome men. The image of the Middle East and especially that part of the Arabian peninsula is quite accurate. A coating of the modern world on the outside of what remains a repressed way of life for the most part. My only peeve with this second installment of Sex & the City was Stanford's wedding. I am sure there are gay men like that, but couldn't they have kept the stereotypes to at least half? Come on, Liza, swans, "choirboys", gay men coming on to straight men, and the list goes on and on. Nevertheless, quite an impressive production. Thumbs Up!

Great movie, different dynamic than the first, but still great. It was nice to see a fun side of Miranda, and the woes of a new marriage with Carrie and Big. I appreciate the honesty in the new committment. Could have really done without the numerous soft porn scenes. They've lost their humor, it was a little over the top. Knock off about 30 minutes and SATC2 would have been far less tiring. Could have done without the wedding at the beginning, which did very little to advance the story. Characters just didn't have the zest that they have had in the past. Lacked some substance and pushed the envelope of believability. Still with all its weakness, I was entertained for most of the movie - if only for location shooting.

Plot line very average...or below + clothes were so over the top that they were more distracting that adding to the movie. Who in their right mind would wear the dress Carrie was wearing while shopping @ a street market?? Gratuitous sex scenes were not necessary. I also don't find Jessica Parker interesting as either an actress or model - rather unattractive. But in spite of all of the above, it was an entertaining, mindless fun movie.

If you are a fan this movie great. Its nice to see the ladies together. I REALLY like the part that they talked about having kids and I was able to related to so much of it. I am very critical of movies but this is a nice feel good happy thing to do with your girlfriends- its a tradition. It was just like watching the series just longer and I appreciate they did that instead of adding all sorts of crazy crap. LOVE IT!!!!!!! 7 of us went and one person never saw the series and she like it and now will watch it.

Half the move was funny and entertaining and it should have stopped there. Instead, we had to hear a "karaoke" version of "I am woman hear me roar". The crowd and everyone else was totally quiet. It just didn't fit with the Sex in the City theme from past years. A more adventurous and hip song would have been delightful to see. It went downhill from there and the last 45 minutes was dreadful. Samantha is showing her age regardless of hormone treatments. Is it possible we will never see this group mature? They seem stuck in episode one from past years. Better than the last movie but if you really want to see it just wait for the DVD.

The movie was lol wonderful. Filled with great one liners sentiments and really spoke to what women think at this age. Carrie grew and learned through error. All of the costumes and sets were just fabulous. The movie is fun and quite entertaining. There are moments in Abu Dhabi that I felt like I was watching an old funny movie with charm and adventure. This movie was so much fun and refreshing. What a breath of fresh air!!! I thoroughly enjoyed, much better than the 1st. Samantha is so funny and haute:-) to be her age...you go girl. I think that this script was representative of each lady in this movie and was so true to form. Great scenes and music was amazing, love the soundtrack. Move over Beyonce cause Lizza is in town:-)

I've seen all of the regular season shows & the first movie. My hopes for this movie were pretty low after seeing the previews....well, I was correct.
The movie seemed very cliche, and some of the outfits were just way over the top. Who in the heck would wear a full length bell-type taffeta skirt to an outside market? Overall, the script seemed like they were trying to hard to be funny.
This movie is nothing more than a good time out with your friends watching a mindless movie. If you don't want to spend the $$ & can wait a few months, I would wait to rent the DVD & invite your friends over to watch.
