The hype for this movie made it kind of a disappointment. I'm a "watched every episode and love every minute of Sex and the City" kind of fan and it's sad to say this movie didn't live up to the seasons or the first movie. On a good note, the fashion was fabulous! I loved almost every outfit. Humor was it's strongest point and yes there were some tear-jerking moments, but otherwise it dragged on and was really choppy. Besides Samantha, the characters weren't really themselves. The guys were barely in it, cheating was a big topic, and stereotypes played a BIG role - especially when they visited the middle east. Not as light hearted and touching as you would expect from Sex and the City. As my friend and I said, we'll just think of it as one of those not-so-favorite episodes. I'll always be a SATC fan, just not a fan of how the second movie played out.

I went with my best friend, and we loved it! It was a lot funnier than expected. We both loved how the movie showed interactions with the other girls without carrie around. It was fun to see where the girls lives had gone within the last two years.

First off, I want to say that I am a huge fan of the show and have been since day 1. Loved the series, loved part 1 and loved part 2.
I say loved because as my review title states; the women are growing up, as are most of us loyal followers.
Point is this ladies, the younger ladies are going to be disappointed because they're expecting the good ol' SATC....sex scenes, lots of what if's and so on. Yes, you get a few sex scenes, a few what if's and good ol' Samantha wanting to hump every man she sees. But, even Samantha has to admit her age with the whole menopause situation.
The older crowd might be disappointed because they enjoyed the good days and re-living some things through these women. Me, I'm right in the middle, so I thoroughly enjoyed it! It was right up my alley with the marriage issues and definitely the children issues.
So, not everyone is going to get what they came for, but keep in mind....we all age and MPK is choosing to show this, which I can appreciate. I know we all go to movies to escape real life, but ain't it great to get to see some old friends, catch up and see some quirky fashion that we might not have the guts to pull off?
If you're a true fan, it will not disappoint, but if you're going into this expecting to see the good ol' younger SATC, then you might be.
Take your best girlfriends and just have a good time!!!

SATC2 was a disgrace to the entire series and first movie. After seeing it I kind of wish it was never made. It did nothing to advance the characters story lines and it was overall just stupid. The clothes were even ridiculous especially compared to the first movie. The funny parts were funny but that was the only positive thing about it. It just didn't have any substance. I am going to pretend the SATC series ended with the first movie because the sequel was a major disappointment!

The writers and actors did it again. This movie was able to mix in fun, fashion, sex, a honest prospective and a lot of COMEDY. I do appreciated the sex scenes at a minimal because if you are true Sex and the City fan you know this show is about the friendship of the four women. Miranda was much different but I like the change in her. Each woman really had their own story line. I love the humor Samantha constantly brought. Charlotte showed a real honest side I know mothers can relate to. I definitely got Carried away with Carrie and her new life as Mrs. Preston. All and all the movie was hilarious. I will admit there was a lot going on but still funny funny lovely movie.

I enjoyed the movie, but I was expecting more to it than what it was. I'm a BIG fan of Sex & The City, so I was a bit disappointed. I rate it a 7 out of 1 - 10. But, I do admit I laughed quite a bit and that's why I rated it a 7. Wish the hubbies would of played a bigger part, and feel Miranda's homecoming was ignored and would of liked to have seen it. Some of the outfits were a bit too costume-like but loved the shoes! My daughter & sister agree with me.

The movie was disappointing. It seemed everything was sensationalized...Samantha's sexual behavior and comments, Charlotte's insecurities etc. I expected so much more. The first movie was great. I imagined the sequel to be better but as always it did not reach that level of expectation. Let's try once more and I guess this movie set the stage for Carrie and Big to become parents in SATC 3. For those who remember sex in the city one were left when Mr. Big finaly married Carrie. As the start of the second one it bought back flashes from the pass to present time, the city of work and people find love. Thought the hardship of relations the true and freinds will always conquer. I took my best girls and we were so excited about the fashions but the scripts was great too! Samantha was great in the movie and meet up to our expectations and Miranda was funny in the movie and Charlotte did such a great job also in being a mom and letting loose! Carrie as always was great and her story line was great! The wedding was magnificent and with the special guest Liza was just over the top! Can't wait to see it again!

I went to see this with a female friend of mine, we also went to see the first Sex And The City in theaters. To this day, I have not watched a single episode of the show, but the movies were enjoyable. There's a good mix of humor and drama, and the actors are spot on! Lots of 'WOW" moments in the film. After a full day of working and partying, I went to see it at midnight and it kept me awake the entire time. Any movie that can do that after the long day I had, deserves 4 thumbs way up!

i'm a fanatic when it comes to sex and the city. the series and the movie (the first one) i was so disappointed with this movie. the jokes were corny and it was not realistic, abudabi? really? the issues weren't deep enough to care about like the first one. the script was boring and tried too hard. i'm really disappointed over all. it did have SOME good points but few. the build up was far too much for the actual move, wasn't as good as i hoped. maybe number 3 wont let me down...

Having watched the show since it came out and now being 30, I could totally relate to what these women were dealing with--I've been married for awhile and have a child and have felt and gone through what the four ladies have. MPK wrote a very witty, fun, and intelligent script. And, of course, the movie did not lack its glamour or style--Patricia Field has out done herself!

I did not believe the negative reviews of SATC2. Sex and the City 1 got terrible reviews and I LOVE EVERY SINGLE MINUTE OF THAT MOVIE! I did not want it to end. However, in this case ladies (and gentlemen you love it too :)) believe the negative reviews. Like the "Viper" ride at Great Adventure, SATC2 overpromised and under delievered.
The trailers of the movie really peaked my interest- the "secrets" that would be revealed, someone would have a baby and there would be flashback scenes. Yea...ok...so..."secrets?" Are they talking about Carrie meeting up with Aiden in United Arab Emirates? New baby? Are they talking about Charlotte's new baby Rosie? Flashback scenes.. We did however, learn how the girls met- which was good. That took up all of 1 minute of the 2 hr and 27 minute movie.
Aside from being completely anticlimatic and frankly boring, I found the movie to be very anti-muslim.
Let's get something straight: The Women's Liberation Movement is not about being as sexual and provacative as possible. The Women's Liberation Movement is about choice.
That being said, many muslim women CHOOSE to wear the burka. Why must we always criticize them and accuse them of being oppressed?? Many women choose to wear the burka because they find it liberating! They don't have to focus on the latest hairstyles, they don't have to focus on whether their legs are tone enough for the outfit they are wearing...they focus on the inside.
Moreover, these cosmopolitan women have very provincial, ignorant views on muslim culture which saddened me.
SIDE NOTE: PLEASE PLEASE take out the kareoke scene??? I didn't pay Samantha, Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte to sing " I am Woman" - I paid to watch them over use puns, sexual innuendos, matter of factness and positive.
Ok- a pro to this movie- I liked the consistent theme of tradition vs. unconventional lifestyle.
Overall, the movie was a snoozefest. Sorry if I see something, I blog something.

No, nothing too exciting happend, and no, it wasn't as good as the first one... but it was still great! The movie is calmer & sets a different tone for the girls. They are out of the dating sence, so of course it's not going to be as action pacted as before. But the new tone is still great! Really shows you the next step in relationships! LOVED IT!!!!

This movie has the girls we all know and love. The first movie was intense, this movie is just plain fun. We have some minor conflicts but overall it was about visiting our best friends and seeing how they are dealing with everyday life. Samantha is so funny, Charlotte is still chasing the dream of a perfect lfe, Miranda is struggling with juggling work and family, and Carrie is still trying to work on her life with Big. I love how they are dealing with things we deal with everyday, we just don't get to wear all the beautiful clothes while doing it.

The movie was amazing. Pretty funny, gya, hot men, and real life esperiences where they give you an insight of how much work goes into relationships and personal time. Definitely a must see!

The movie touches on 4 issues that mostly all mature women can relate to. It's the natural progression for these characters at this stagein the game. Their lives don't consist of running around Manhattan sipping drinks and finding their soul mates anymore. It deals with real life issues related to where each one is at in their life in a very fun and entertaining way, played by 4 of our favorite characters. It was a lot of fun. There was only 1 scene I felt could've been spared!

The movie overall was good.. plenty of laughs, almost crys for me and there is some drama. I didnt think it was as good as the first but my friend that I went with said she liked the second one better so I think it is really on you to see for yourself. Outfits were amazing as expected.. go see it with your girlfriends!!!
