While the clothes and shoes were as amazing as ever, this movie was pretty flat. It was way too long and the plot just didn't seem clear. And, it just wasn't all that funny this time. It almost seemed like this movie was trying to hard. Definitely not as good as the first one.

The critics this time were wayyyyy overrated - I think people will love this movie even if they don't love the show - but people who love Sex and the City will fall in love with this movie. I too thought it was a great episode-like format and I was laughing non-stop! Meh, maybe it was a tad politically incorrect in some places - who cares??? it was hilarious!!! If you are a true fan, and I mean have watched all the seasons over and over and over again in addition to part 1) You will truly enjoy this film! Despite the bad "professional reviews" this film was reminiscent of when the girls first met and it incorporated some of the fashion pieces from the prior seasons. Loved the movie! The fashion and the scenery were amazing. Was really funny and not a fan of Liza but her part was hilarious! Hated the ending though. Who the hell gets a diamond ring as punishment! Good news/bad news. BAD: Occasionally moronic dialog (were the script writers on drugs?), & WTF's the deal with them making Carrie look like a dog through half the film (hair styles/dresses/that Godawful "hat" she wears on the sheik's private jet)? GOOD: True SATC fans (like me) will forgive these glaring flaws for the inclusion of John Corbett, the touching scenes between Carrie & her butler Garau (as well as the bar scene with Miranda & Charlotte when they talk about motherhood), & Samantha's HYSTERICAL moment in the Abu Dhabi marketplace toward the end of the film. Recommended.

Where to begin? Disappointment. Shame on you Michael Patrick King. I expect so, much from you but, this had to be your biggest cop out ever. There are so many different plots lines and themes to explore with SATC2. I feel that the best review for this movie is the same New Yorker view Carrie's Book. Terrible. I’m upset with you and wonder if you still have 'it'. The best part is Liza dancing to “Single ladies” and that’s a stretch. Pat Field, the clothes are no good. The make-up artist did a horrible job with the make-up. I mean seriously how difficult is it to find a foundation to match the ladies? Bottom Line: this is just a cheap water downed version of the series we know and love.

I am a HUGE SATC fan. Own the pink velvet box set, went to both movies at midnight on a work day, and have seen every episode probably ten times. Love, love love these girls. This movie was so bad, I felt like crying. I actually couldn't wait until it was over. In the series, these were real women with flaws, that you grew to love because they were delicate and strong at the same time. The women in this movie were cartoon characters. It's like watching four friends die a LONG slow death.
Some of the fashion was horrible, not quirky and fresh like it usually is. Two things that stick out in my mind was the hat Carrie wore on the plane. I really thought that was supposed to be a joke. Also that red dress Samantha wore with the spikes on the shoulders. I would have refused to wear that in the movie. Someone in wardrobe doesn't like Kim.
I really felt like this was a major step backwards, and now I hope there are no more sequels. It was such a good series. Shame on them for making it a joke. Now all the people who make fun of SATC fans and their love for these characters, can throw this stupid movie in our faces.

I loved this movie more than the first. In this movie, the girls were themselves and it brought us back to how they were in the series. I liked how they all had made mistakes and had to learn about how to live with those mistakes. For all the ladies out there (or guys!) who love the SATC franchise but think that the trailer looks a little fluffy...GO SEE THIS FILM DESPITE THE TRAILER! Michael Patrick King is a genius and he found a way to represent these four women in a NEW and EXCITING light! I loved every second of it (except the Liza dance thing...that went right over my head. Never been a huge fan of her's so my reaction was "ehhhhh ok???") But everything else was phenomenal...especially the ladies' acting. GO SEE IT!!! NOW! GO! :)

It was just okay. I would have rather seen more of Manhattan as Sex in the City in NYC all around. Story line could have been better. I like the moral of the story very much!!!
