This was everything I hoped it would be and more. All the girls were in rare form and I am pretty sure for two and a half hours I sat in the theatre with a cheesy grin on my face, because it was great. This is a must see and the fashion itself can only be done justice on the Big Screen.

I am a longtime fan of SATC but I felt that by removing the girls from NYC took some of the luster out of the story. It has often been said that the city is the fifth character and something was lost in translation by taking the girls out of it. I love the opening sequence with Carrie talking about NY while the Alicia Keys "Empire State" song was playing. I felt like much of the Middle East stuff could have been edited and this should have been a 90 min movie. It was exactly what I expected from the film, but I was still disappointed...

"For years now we have watched and lived vicariously through Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda. Each time we have seen them, each is searching for their life. Where are they supposed to be whom are they to be with, what path are they to travel. In Sex 2 they realize their purpose and see their direction in life clearly. I saw this with my two girlfriends; we are 39, 40 and 41. We agreed each one of is had a little bit of the fashion fabulous women we have grown to love. I doubt women in their late teens early 20's will have the same ah ha moments as those of us in the 35+ age range, but I am sure that they will enjoy the film in their own way."

I loved SATC1, but this movie is an embarrassment. The plot (such as it is) slight, the humor is juvenile, and the acitng is often forced. There were times I was squirming and looking at my watch to see how much longer until the end (which took the easy way out). As a friend, who was with me, said, "I hope it sinks like it should." Wait for the video for the fashions and decor.

After seeing the first SATC movie, I was beyond excited for the second one. I went to the midnight showing, and I have to say, I was disappointed. Although I did think the first movie was better than the second, I thought the movie was still great. I own the series and the first movie and I've watched the whole series and movie over and over and over again I probably can recite every word. The second film was great that they caught up how they met at the beginning of the movie, Liza was great doing her single girls dance. Some of the outfits they put on Kim I didn't think were flattering. I noticed Ron White (the comedian) had a very small part as well as Penelope Cruz. Wished the guys had a bigger part but then I guess the movie would have been over 3 hours. Must see movie for any die hard SATC fan!!!!

Really enjoyed this and I am a huge SATC fan. I laughed a lot and cried in a few places - especially wtih Charlotte's story line. The movie had a great theme about how when you get everything you want, you can still feel disappointed at times. Also liked the contrast between someof the characters needing to love or realize what they have while others needed to branch out and try something better.

What makes this movie so enjoyable in my opinion is how it is the king of all chick flicks...yes it's horribly tacky but in a way that it's almost a guilty pleasure watching it. If you can look past a weak plot line, some controversial humor, a few raunchy zoom in's...you're in for a real treat. I will have to say that though the plot is terribly weak, the movie seems to carry a message on behalf of women's power (both in the Middle East and in America) I think it is an interesting point to raise given the times we are living in today.

Was definitely different than i expected. Much different than the first video in even the directing, writing, etc. But still funny and had good points. I wish it was written/directed more like the series. There was also many parts that could have been cut out. 2.5 hours is too long. could've cut out at least 45min of nonsense! Still love sex and the city but am a bit disappointed by this movie!

I found this movie entertaining. I love SATC for the opulent fantasy it is--beautiful clothes, shoes, and purses; gorgeous homes; and luxury items. My only complaint with the movie is the writing. Michael Patrick King made Samantha over-the-top crude; Charlotte was "overwhelmed" with rearing her children when she has a supportive husband and a full-time nanny (?); Carrie was mad because Big wanted to watch TV and not go out every night (!?); and Miranda just blithely quit a job when she's the main breadwinner (?) MPK made the girls look ridiculously shallow in this movie and I think that that's what the critics are reacting to.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I came into this moving expecting so much. I was very let down. I thought it was too long and drawn out. I felt like nothing was accomplished in it.
Yes it had a few funny Moments, but only because of Samantha.
I am so bummed.. I LOVED the series and the first movie was fabulous. I will continue to be a fan but I am one who feels very let down.
Sorry to all that I upset about this. If you liked it that's great!! =)
