What a fantastic sequel. This movie cleverly blends Sex & the City 1, the TV show, bits of the original book and new wild adventures into a refreshing margarita! It depicts Carrie and her girls facing real life problems and dealing with them the way real women do…a little shopping, a little drinking, and a lot of help from your girlfriends. Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte stay true to their characters (flashbacks to each first meeting Carrie are adorable) providing great story lines for the movie. The sexually antics are in your face, not a comfortable 1st date movie, but “endow” the movie with its laugh out loud moments! Almost two and half hours long, but I wanted more….here’s hoping Sex3 is in the works!

This saga of the SITC is for the more matuer, settled fan. As a married woman with kids, I found it exhilerating and so comical. I saw it with my unmarried sister-in-law and she too had a billion laughs, so you don't have to be married to enjoy it. The fashion yes was at times over the top, but for the most part, I got exactly what I was expecting. Hot Shoes; Hot Dresses; and Hot Laughs!

Thank goodness I don't ever read reviews before going to a movie. For my daughter and I, this movie was great. We thought it was better than the first SATC movie. I guess being a woman who has been through each of the stages that each of the SATC girls represented during the film, I could relate to all of them and I understood all of their pain. The movie was funny, it was honest, it was, of course glamorous. The settings and clothing were amazing. And I LOVED that Aidan was included this time. It was the perfect chick flick and I am happy that I went to see it.

I'm a big fan as well but was not blown away by this one at all. The 2 1/2 hours went by quick but not alot happened, pretty predictable but even though it was slow it didnt change my opinion of the fab 4 only the writers. I could have probaly done a better job writting there parts.

I loved the movie - Was a BIG fan of the show and felt like spending 2 1/2 hours with old friends. I love the friendship bond between these ladies and the tangle web their lives have now become with husband, kids etc.

I thought the movie was good... not great. It was totally worth a trip with my girls to the theater all dressed up and out to have a good time. I would NOT have tortured my husband with it though.
It was a little long, but I really didn't notice other than needing a potty break. There was no real plot to speak of, it just kind of seemed like a longer version of the show.
Overall, totally worth it for me and my girls. We laughed and had a good time. Do not make your husband/boyfriend go see it though - spare him.

Loved, Loved, Loved It!!! I was so skeptical after reading some of the reviews, but I had no reason to worry. There were some scenes that were kinda far-fetched, but who cares...it was GREAT!! The movie starts out fabulous and over-the-top with usual SATC style. The wedding scenes were very fun and the flashbacks to the 80's were humorous. As always, the NY scenes were great with phenomenal fashion.
When the location changed to the Middle East the movie energy changed dramatically. It became more serious when there were heavy conversations about marriage and motherhood. The girls needed to have more fun. The "I Am Woman" scene could have been more production -like instead of a realistic Karaoke event. It didn't have "pow" with a "wow" factor. It was just girls singing, not THE girls singing.
I don't understand why Michael Patrick King chose the UAE for a location. It didn't make sense.
I would have thought that Paris would have been a great oversees location with a fashion show trip for Vogue. There would have been a lot more romance and fun in Paris. The repression in the UAE was hard to watch.
I understand the thought to have the girls travel overseas, but NY was also an important character to the storyline. The movie seemed to lose its way when NY was not in the movie. The fashion didn't work in the UAE. It was disjointed.
Overall, it was enjoyable, but disappointing.

I LOVED the show, and I loved the first movie, but this sequel was just alright for me. It was long and overindulgent, and some part were downright cring-worthy. Why did we even need Stanford and Anthony's wedding? We never even saw them again for the rest of the movie. The wedding didn't advance the storyline at all. Had the wedding been cut, then maybe the runtime wouldn't have been butt-numbingly long. Both Liza Minnelli singing "Single Ladies" and the karoke "I am Woman" songs made me cringe. It was good to see the girls again, and there were moments I loved ...Miranda making Brady's science fair "For once", or Miranda and Charlotte coming clean about how hard it is to be a mother........but the scenes I loved were brief and too few. Save this one for Netflix.....

I loved this movie. We had a group of 6 ladies (mothers, friends and wives). We all left the men and kids at home. We are big fans of S&TC so we ignored the reviews. I really enjoyed this movie. This movie is meant for wives and mothers. The story line was entertaining and fun for us. Yeah we could have done without some goofy parts but all in all it was great. I went with a bunch of girlfriends and we had a great time watching the movie, because, come on, its SATC. But as someone else mentioned, the plot was a bit thin, i think the carrie/aidan thing could have been developed better. Samantha never disappoints, she always cracks me up! And the dynamic of the girls' friendship is always evolving, i just love it. I was almost in tears over it. So, while the movie was just okay, you still have to go see it (or at least rent) because it's a great franchise. Maybe #3 will be better.

I tell you what this movie was really on point. Most the time sequels are dreary compared but SATC2 really rocked this time. Great music and eye candy for males and females alike. I wen there with my girlfriend and we had a wonderful time laughing at the silly antics of the girls. Men should know you won't need to scratch your eyes out. The movie was easy to sit and watch and makes the women go nuts with the familiar characters of an ever so watched television series. Definitely worth watching and Good job to the cast of SATC2.

Movie was better than I thought it would be due to the poor, early reviews. Great scenes with Miranda and Charlotte talking about motherhood, and Mr. Big was on his A game. Some of the Samantha stuff is over the top, but definitely worth seeing.

SATC2 was everything I hoped for and more...great clothes, girl eye candy, locations and storyline. I liked it better than the first one and I thought I was going to be disappointed based on the reviews. Hope they do it again!
