Absolutely hated this movie and was very disappointed. Very big fan of the series and grew to love SATC 1 after a couple viewings. But this one made me cringe. The part when they sang "I Am Woman Hear Me Roar?" I actually sunk down in my theatre seat. Horrible story line, plot and the cheesiest one-liners on the planet. I cannot believe that SJP did not refuse to say the worst line of the movie..."Toto we're not in Kansas anymore." Yikes.... Just dreadful. The clothes were a nightmare too. Truly a disappointment, especially after all the hype. Also the many, many closeups on the actresses were not at all flatering to them. They all are looking worse for the wear. I pray they do not make another one of these movies. Please.

I loved this movie and was so excited to see all of the girls together again! It is interesting how Carrie took most of the focus but I would have liked to hear more about the others' lives along the journey. My favorite was Aiden, oh my did he look HOT. The bottom line is we never know what is going to happen in our lives and it is so nice to know our friends are always there to love, support and listen to us. I am blessed to have such special friendships in my life and wish everyone could experince the thrill of those special relationships.

Sex and the City 2 was SO WONDERFUL! I had very little expectations because sometimes the 2nd movie is not as good as the 1st one .... This is not the case with SATC 2 ... it was an INCREDIBLE movie that I would highly suggest that you see. It was 'over the top' in so many ways and all that we have come to expect from the 'girls'. It was so real, so funny, so smart and so darn fun! DON'T MISS!!!

Grab your girlfriend's hand and go see this movie! (Or grab your boyfriend's hand if the case may be.....) Anyway, this movie was soooo funny. Better than the first movie! The girls were at their peak of loveliness and sexiness and in rare form! They were perfect. The clothes were perfect. The art direction was perfect. Abu Dhabi was unreal. Just shows what billions of $$$ in oil can do in the middle of a desert! The audience was a total "hen house" with a few male gay exceptions. Everyone clapped heartily at the end because the movie was just plain fun. I loved the depiction of Arab women behind their veils in the latest Dior runway fashions. Now, if we can only get them to sing aloud with our "girls" to "I Am Woman"....and take down their men a peg! Of course, the men have belly dancers to oogle!! Hypocrites. Chauvinists to the max! The moment was precious when Samantha had her bag dumped on the ground in the Souk and condoms spilled out. It was causing outrage with the Arab men there. She looks up and SCREAMS at them: "YES, I HAVE SEX!!!! --GET OVER IT". Don't listen to some of the critics who think everything must be "heavy" and intellectual to be a good movie going experience. Just go for the fun of it!!!

Although I didn't think the writing was up to par with the original series and first movie, it was still worth seeing for SATC fans. That being said, I was shocked when I left the theatre and realized it had run over 2 hours. It didn't seem that it had run 2-1/2 hours and never dragged.

There were some absolutely fabulous moments and the clothes and scenery were awesome. BUT I was not drawn in emotionally this time as I have been from day 1 with this series. Most of the moments felt contrived and some of the jokes were literally cringe-worthy. I wanted to love it like I always have but I was really disappointed. I see that a lot of people really liked it so maybe it's just me. The person I saw it with LOVED it.

I watched all seasons of this when it was a television show and went to see the first Sex and the City movie in the theatre. I wasn't thrilled w/the first movie, simply b/c I thought the show did a great job wrapping up all loose ends and the first movie kind of tore that apart for me, of course it ended well but the brunt of the movie was heartbreaking really. However, this one blew that out of the water! Absolutely over the top fantastic! The girls looked amazing, the clothing of course was phenomenal, theatrical at times but they wouldn't be them w/o it! Samantha is in her usual form, you cannot help but love her. We even get a glimpse of Smith! Carrie has the past come back into her life and she deals with it in what I thought was a very realistic manner. Miranda and Charlotte's talk later in the movie was so 'real' something all parents must think at one point but are so scared to say aloud. Just a fun, refreshing, movie, you will feel real things but still have the fun of their amazing adventure in the middle east. I never felt the length of this movie, there were NO moments where I looked at my watch. Get your girlfriends & go see it. Cheers!

I am an avid Sex and the City fan. I've seen every episode of the series countless times. I've seen the first movie between 20-30 times (three times in the theater). I have the books, DVDs, magizine covers, etc. I was beyond excited when the promos came out for Sex and the City 2. I made plans to go with a girlfriend on opening night and was so anxious to see if the second movie was a risk that paid off. It was not. I wish I wouldn't have wasted my money, and I really wish they would have stopped after the first movie wrapped everything up so neatly.
Audiences like to feel like they can relate to the women of Sex and the City, but nothing about this movie is relatable (with the exception of a hilarious convo over cosmos between Miranda and Charolotte). Gone from this film was the emotional depth the girls used to bring to every episode. In its place was slapstick humor that just felt...weird. I won't spoil anything, but I actually rolled my eyes during one of the final scenes in the Abu Dabui market.
A huge sticking point for me was the lack of NYC. Although SJP and MIchael Patrick King have always said that New York City is the fifth lady on the show, the girls spend 80 percent of the movie away from the city, therefore, the second film feels like it's mising a major character.
The movie felt less like a peak of the rest of these ladies' lives, and more just an excuse to film a lame movie in Moracco. I will not be going back to see this one any time soon. :(

I knew going in that I would like this movie. I liked the show, I liked the first movie and I'm a fan of chick flicks. BUT, I honestly didn't have my hopes set too high on this sequel. Sequels are never better than the original, right? Maybe not. This was a great film, good story lines and just some really awesome moments between the gals. The plot was much thicker in the first movie, but there were soooo many more laughs in this one. Great, great girls night out movie if you just want to LAUGH with your girlfriends. I think I may even go see it again. Worth the $10.50.

I'd only recommend this movie to true fans of SATC. I like to consider myself one of those so obviously I had to see it. However, I couldn't help but leave the theater slightly disappointed. I personally liked the first movie better and thought they should've left it at that rather than this sequel they came up with. There wasn't enough drama in this movie to me and the plot certainly needed more. I wouldn't say that the movie was horrible by any means, but I don't think that this sequel did the first movie or the series much justice. It was fun and there were a couple funny scenes (all of which I had already seen in previews), but overall it needed more. With what they came up with, they could've done this movie in under 2 hours. It was too long! About two hours in I wasn't sure if I wanted it to begin or end. I was desperately waiting for some drama but after while I was just ready to go home. I must say I loved the fashion though. That was probably the highlight of this movie.

I went to see this movie with a group of girlfriends and had cosmos and noshes before hand. I am a rabid SATC fan and was very happy with this movie. We were given a wonderful story line for each character and the clothing and scenery were amazing! A real love letter to friends and husbands! :) Really LOVED the opening sequence.

I absolutely loved the first Sex & The City Movie! And, although this one was good, it doesn't live up to the hype. I expected a bit more from the 'Flash-Backs' to when they all met...it was just an opening scene shot.
If you watched the TV series & saw the 1st movie you will want to see this...but ..I wouldn't pay to see it again & I doubt you will find this better then the 1st Sex & The City Movie.

This movie is funny, romantic and has lots and lots of fashion and sex too.lol!!alot of unexpected things are going to happen. the gils go to the middle east and have the time of their lives, yet they also do some regretfull thing, you'll defenatelly have lots of laughs watching this movie, you will not even feel the time when your there, i will defenately watch this movie again.

I watched the movie twice last night. It was great. It is a long movie but it doesn't seem like it. It is much funnier than the second one. There are guest appearances and everything! Wonderful movie! I can't wait until the release date!

I can propbably recite most lines of every episode. I've seen the first move at last 6 times. I loved this movie. I went with my boyfriend...next time I'll see it with the girls (he kept looking at me to see if I thought it was lame). The colors, clothes and scenery were amazing. Samantha as usual, was a bit over the top. Touching moments, funny moments, uncomfortable moments. All I can say is, will there by a Sex and the City 3? Yes Please!

I really enjoyed this movie! I love how the characters have grown in the 2 years. How the movie addressed different marriage issues than the 1st one, mother's feelings and womens treatment in America & other countries! I will say it is not the same as the show and less drama than the 1st movie, but that is expected since the characters are older & 3 are married now. As usual loved the fashion! I laughed, gasped and nodded my head in agreement! A must see!
