I thought SATC2 was great! I heard two reviews that said it was horrible......but I realize now why they said such an opinion. They were men. Of course men wouldn't like this movie! It's about girl friends. After watching the first one with one of my closest girlfriends, I looked at her and said..."Every woman should see this movie and see what it means to have true girl friendships." And the 2nd one was no different. But it also contained the normal SATC humor and fantastic clothes! What more can a girl ask for?

I enjoyed the first half for the usual girlly connection that is unavoidable w/ these loveable ladies. The second half was pretty ridiculous. I was really surprised at the lack of politically correct storyline and dialogue... which was unexpected and sometimes funny. It got a little drawn out in the middle east and should have been shorter. Anyway, if you are a fan of SATC ... you are going to pay to see it regardless. right???

The movie is about 30 min. too long. The fashion and interior design are over the top, especially the shoes. Several snippets of heart and humor surrounded by too much unsubstantiated angst and crassness. One of the best parts is the opening with shots of the girls from wayback! The contrast is good. Liza and the wedding sequence great fun. Whole movie could have moved faster and it would have rocked with more musical work by the girls together.

This movie is not for prudes. The wedding scene was marvelous. Liza M. being there to entertain was a wonderful. Carrie had never been married so she was inexperienced at marriage. The girls looked great. Everyone looked young as though they never aged. Great laughs, light and enjoyable.

I found 'Sex and the City 2' to be the typical desperate attempt to milk a franchise for its last drop by taking the characters to another country. Having said that, I nonetheless enjoyed the lavish sets and the moral of appreciating what you have. The thing that was really bad was the portrayal of Samantha as the proverbial 'Ugly American'. She had no respect at all for the customs and laws of the country she was visiting. Her actions were supposed to strike a blow for women’s liberation in Abu Dhabi, but were done in such a crass manner that it had the opposite effect. If you can stomach that, it’s an otherwise enjoyable light entertainment movie.

Overall this movie was entertaining, engaging and funny.
However, conflicts between Sara Jessica Parker and Big were really dumb. And the sad part about that is it went on and on. They really needed a better conflict to play out.
Everything else about the movie was great. Samantha was a scream. Loved all the different outfits. If you love clothes, you wont be disappointed.
This movie is best suited for women, girls and gay men. Leave your macho boyfriend at home because he will be falling asleep on you or pawing you to death because in his terms the movie will motivate the randiness in him.

I am a big fan of SATC and I have NO idea what all the bad reviews are about. All in all it's a fun frolic with the ladies so if you're a fan-- don't hesitate to go see it. Yes, there parts that are way over the top-- but isn't that who they are??? Yes, there are a few parts that are a bit silly or slow but that doesn't take away from a good time. The only thing that bothered me about the film was the crying baby. They should have made their point without putting the poor child through all that. She wasn't acting-- those were real tears and real emotions. I can't believe a parent would allow their child to suffer like that. Next time leave the kid out. We get what motherhood is like...

Great, fun movie. I felt like I was on vacation with my long time girlfriends. I laughed, I gasped, I even got a little weepy. Having gone in with low expectations, I was pleasantly surprised. I found this movie to be more charming, and more comical than the first. With humor, and charm, the film discussed some tough topics such as motherhood, marriage, and woman's liberation in foreign lands. SATC2 is, as others have likely said, not as entertaining as SATC1. Perhaps I was expecting too much as I had been waiting and hoping for this sequel for awhile. I adored SATC1. Chris Noth is still wonderful as "BIG" and SJP was awesome in her role as Carie Badshaw. Kristin Davis was not expecially memorable in her role nor was Cynthia Nixon. Kim Catterall's character dominated the last half on the movie which I felt was overexposure. It became somewhat tedious witnessing her various sexual exploits while in the Middle East. SATC2 was entertaining but not up to par with the first movie. Somewhat disappointing...

The movie did an injustice to the legacy of the show. I felt many of the characters didn't stay true to their form and the storyline was predictable. The only character that remained in tact was Samantha. I also couldn't get over that they took the girls out of Manhattan to the Middle East. After all, as said in the show, that the fifth woman on the show was NYC. It wasn't the same and I will not be rushing out to buy the DVD any time soon.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED THIS MOVIE. I THINK IT WAS GREAT AND I ENJOYED EVERY MINUTE OF IT. SAMANTHA MAKES THE MOVIE..SHE IN FUNNIER THAN EVER. I SUDDENLY HAVE AN INTEREST IN VISITING THE MIDDLE EAST BECAUSE OF HOW BEAUTIFULLY IT PLAYED OUT IN THE MOVIE. I WILL DEFINATLY BE ADDING THIS MOVIE TO MY COLLECTION WHEN IT COMES OUT ON DVD.
