A timeless cult classic! It is an experience you will never forget. Live theater performance with audience participation...Priceless! Dancing in the isles, audience screaming lines at the screen and dressed as characters in the movie..Hilarious...Younger generations to come will appreciate the insane madness as only the RHPS can depict. It's just a jump to the left...Great fun!

I stared seeing RHPS in theaters over 20 years ago. I loved it then and I love it now! The audience participation is fantastic!
This was my first time seeing it at this theater, and I was pleasantly surprised by the enthusiasm of the crowd and cast! it was like a party in the theater even before the movie started! The shadow cast was amazing with their costumes and props! I'll be back next month for sure!
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, sexual daydreams, time warp!, audience partici........pation!, fishnets, tim curry, all this and a floor show too!

The movie is awesome! For anyone who has never seen it and loves old sci-fi b-movies, this is a must see. For anyone that has seen this movie but has never seen it in the theater surrounded by other cult fans...WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? This movie isnt just a movie, it's an experience!

Self-parodying movie that's absolutely awesome to see in a theatre with a bunch of folks yelling comeback or prompts to the characters onscreen, live-acting the scenes, and throwing rice and toilet paper.

This was a really great experience! If you have no sense of humor and don't enjoy laughing at others/yourself/inappropriate things, then don't go. It was my first time at RHPS, so I don't know if it is a "traditional" showing, but I can tell you that it was the most fun my friend and I had in New York. We never stopped laughing and were really impressed with the cast's knowledge of the film. Yes, the jokes were in poor taste. They made fun of Patrick Swayze, Sarah Palin, and and Muslims. But they also included hilarious references to Wayne's World and The Breakfast Club. So yes, they were ridiculous and unprofessional, but there is no better way to see a movie! (plus, the guy who played Brad was super cute.)

I've been a huge fan of the RHPS for years. I saw it for the first time in a theater as a teen in the East Village. It was an amazing experience. This past weekend, I took my girlfriend to see the show for the first time live. This group of kids has absolutely no idea what they're doing with the Rocky Horror Picture Show. They make everyone wait outside the theater until 15 minutes after the show is scheduled to start and then host a ridiculous dance party in the front of the theater that has absolutely nothing to do with the Rocky experience. Rafael (one of the cast members), should never be allowed to hold a microphone again. He spent 20 minutes with the microphone shoved all the way into his mouth, screaming nonsense in a way that was impossible to understand and actually painful due to the volume and distortion. Go back to doing Rocky Horror the way it's always been done. And start on time! There's no reason to expect a 12am showing to be delayed until 1:30am by the antics of some kids who seem to be compensating for the fact that they'll never land real acting jobs.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Let me start this review out by saying I've been watching this movie for 20 years. I loved the lips as a child and so my dad would sit me in front of the lips and I would dance, they'd be over, he'd rewind the lips and I'd watch them again. As I got older I really started to love what this movie stood for. So many people coming together to yell at a movie screen. Fast forward to 10/29. My mom, my best friend, her husband, and myself came to watch the movie, a long tradition we've had on Halloween. We could not believe what they turned the show into. It was the most unenjoyable experanice ever. There is a level of crude behavior that is associtated with this movie but the level this crew took it to was absoluetly uncalled for. We are not people that are easily offeneded but making two remarks about the holocaust has nothing to do with what rhps is about. Over all it was a horrible experiance, so horrible we got up and left. Also, costume modeling, and eating twizzlers are not part of rhps. If you want to do all that crap do it at the end but start the show at 12:01 just like your rhps forefathers before you have. No need to change a classic when it's awesome the way it is.

It was my first time seeing The Rocky Picture Show in a theater, and I absolutely loved it! I was very impressed with the cast, and I thought the whole show was done well.
I also want to say that I was really glad that the 9:00 performances (one of which I attended) were added, because otherwise my friends and I would not have been able to see it (since the midnight ones sold out).
All in all, it was a really fun experience and I definitely want to go back again soon! :)
