Although the movie dealt mostly with teens, it applies across age groups. Several serious issues were shown in a way that demonstrates there is hope for what seems hopeless. It makes you stop and think how we treat others instead of just being wrapped up in just our own lives. I came away encouraged and challenged.

Went to see this movie after having 2 different sets of friends recommend it, but not really say why. Now I understand. A great exposure of the pressures, maybe good and bad, that our teens are under, and how we as people, fail each other. And that all of that can change but is never easy. We are looking at helping send a group of teens from our church to see this one, because it is that important. Take the time.

Wonderful movie that really makes you think about how you live your life and the impact you can have. It was great to see a movie discuss many issues without trying to make light of them.

I found this move to be a real eye-opener! It does a great job of presenting so many points of view on life as teenager and many of the real challenges. I think everyone can find at least one character to whom they can relate. I loved the way the movie challenges the notions of how Christians can be fake, judgmental, and that once you become a Christian life should be problem free! HiGHLY recommend you take your Teens to see this one (Yes go with them). You don't have to sit together though! My wife says, "take a tissue with you!".

One of the best and meaningful movies out. Made a wonderful daughter-mother date that will never be forgotten. Would pray that all teens would be given the chance to see this as I see the way kids treat eachother on a daily basis in school. It makes my heart sad. To Save a Life is a must see for parents and teens. It's a great Daddy-Daughter date movie, family night out or just for the fun of it. It will stir up emotions that most Americans like to hide from because of their own traumatic experiences from when they were young. This movie is meaningful, impactful, relevant, and has a great storyline. I went with a group of teens and they all stayed awake and enjoyed it. I thoroughly enjoyed it too myself. This is a must see movie for all teens. It deals with serious subjects like teen suicide, depression, peer pressure, teen pregnancy, among other things in a way that is not too preachy, yet is still able to get the gospel message across. I think it compares well with some of the best Christian movies of all time.

We saw this movie at a private screening and were amazed at the quality and reality of the subjects addressed. We took our two teenage daughters to see it opening day and they loved it! The acting was pretty good and the message was very relevant. For the christian, it may be convicting, but that's a good thing. You will walk away changed, because you will have to make a decision whether you are going to keep living as a lukewarm christian just going to church but living life as usual or you are going to be legit and live in such a way that shows the love of God to everyone you come into contact with. If we let Jesus live through us, lives truly can be saved, in more ways than one. This is also a great movie for non-Christians to see. It addresses the issues of "fakers" and those in the church who pass judgments on others. It also touches on the doubts that the main character had about God and Christianity. See it!

This movie is great for teenagers. It has a great way of showing our kids how to be lights for Jesus and love one another through even the most difficult of situations. The production values are the best and least cheesy I have seen since the Passion and the music is great. One could say this movie is preaching to the choir, but I think that is a good thing. This teaches Christians great lessons. Teens will love it and the frank depiction of violence and drugs may turn some parents off but I think teens should really see it.

Our youth group in Houston went opening night.
Acting was very good by these young actors and made it believable. It pushes the edges a bit (thus the pg-13 rating) but never crossed a line that was opportunistic. It handled so many issues in one flick i couldn't almost get it all in - and that is good.
The teens loved it. It also helps parents realize the world our teens live (as opposed to the one we were in at that age) and can start hopeful conversations about Christ with others.
I will definitely show it to them again when it comes out on DVD. Go take your teens AND their parents to see it now!

I'm a teacher and the actions and attitudes of many teens today is our biggest obstacle. This movie touches on so many subjects that teens are experiencing every day and shows them that they are able to overcome these obstacles when they have God in their lives. Our community raised the money to provide 1200 teens with free tickets to this. We had counselors ready for individuals that needed to talk. The reaction of the teens was amazing and we can only pray that this movie will help lead more of them to Christ.

Have you ever longed for a movie to be made by a Christian that depicted life in a much more realistic way? Where people who began a relationship with Christ didn’t suddenly have it all together, score the winning touchdown, get the girl, have their parents relationship suddenly get better and then find themselves tiptoeing through the tulips in a pain free life? If this describes you then the movie “To Save a Life” is just what you have been looking for.
I highly recommend this for everyone. It is well written, acted, produced & directed. i look forward to the next movie by these people.

I had an opportunity to catch a sneak peak while at a youth leader conference in Florida. I have seen many youth ministry films, or attempts to be youth ministry films, but this is by far the best one yet!
One thing you have to have in youth ministry is an open mind. This film hits the "Pink Elephant" topics that we shy away from in youth ministry. It confronts the topics in a way that you can relate. I found myself looking back to my high school days and remembering everything we faced, which was nothing compared to our teenagers today. You walk away from this film with some hope. The hope you have is that students can watch this film and it can actually change their lives.
