To Save a Life is an awesome movie. Besides the main storyline, there were other stories; everyone needed to be rescued from something, not just the loners. This in my opinion made it an excellent movie, because it wasn't just one dimensional. It gave it more meat, and it wasn't too busy that you couldn't follow what was happening. It was funny and sweet, sad and true. Overall, it was an awesome movie, and everyone involved with making it should be very proud of their work. It was touching.

As a youth sponsor, I really wanted to be sure we could take our group to see this movie and we were NOT disappointed! You expect a decrease in quality for most low budget films but this film was about as good of quality as any. We took our youth along with their parents and they all commented on how realistic this movie was. This movie succeeded in challenging me to reach out to those who are hurting and be there to lend a hand. This is a must see movie! We plan to use this movie in our church as an outreach event when it's out on dvd. Too bad it couldn't have been in more theaters, we drove 2 hours to go see it and weren't disappointed. Go see it!

We took our 15 and 12- yr. old sons. I was a little uncomfortable with a few of the scenes, but it has actually worked as a springboard for discussions for topics I was unsure of how to approach with them. The characters give a fresh, honest perspective about choices and consequences. I like the fact it did not shy away from the issue of hypocrisy in the church, and it handled the subject well. Good lesson for teens, but adults should also take note on how our acceptance or rejection of others has an impact on lives. I would not take a child younger than 12, though, because the content is too mature for pre-adolescents.

The trailer says absolutely nothing about the movie and what's inside. They should have called this movie something totally different. Throughout the movie it is about him going to church. It also sends a bad message saying not to get an abortion when you are too young and not ready to be a mother. Bad message. The reason I gave this movie two stars was for the other message. I viewed a pre-screening of this movie this summer at a youth convention, CHIC. I was impressed. Recently found a local church that worked to bring it to a theater near me. I am so greatful they did. What an eye opener of a movie! Lots of real life issues are dealt with. My 14 year old son even liked it! The main topic of teen suicide is a sad issue that you rarely hear of unless something tragic happens in a school (like in this movie). The problem starts way before any tragic event and is way more of an issue than most parents think. This movie is a great conversation starter with teens. Who knows, it may be the conversation that saves my own kids life.

My husband and I took our 12 y/o son to see this along with his 11 y/o cousin and her parents. We all thought the movie was well written and directed and the storyline was excellent. I went with a group of teenagers. It was a great movie. Very believable. I heard many comments from the teens afterwards how good they thought it was also. Really is a must see if you are a teen or have any contact with teens.

I took a group of pre-teens/teenagers to see this movie that was recommended by a friend. I only wish that this movie would have gotten the recognition that it so very much deserved by advertisements. So many people have not ever heard of it and therefore probably will never see it. It was absolutely fabulous and I only wish there were more movies that touched on these types of subjects. An absolute must see!

We took out 13 year old with the youth group. This movie opened up a lot of issues that we could discuss with our child. If you are going to send you child to see it you should also see it to fully know the impact it will have on them. It deals with every issue they could possibly find themselves in. I loved the movie and will definately buy it when it comes out on dvd.

I wish all parents of teenagers would go see this with their kids. Lots to talk about together. Well scripted and acted and handled hard issues in a wonderful way.
