The cast, orchestra, costumes and sets were wonderful - Liu could break your heart. I sure hope she'll be back in future productions. The 4 out of 5 is due to technical problems causing numerous audio and video interruptions.
We will certainly go again.

Fantastic show. Voices, staging, costuming were all in the style of the grand operas we so love from Puccini, and I love Marcello Giordani. :)
The ONLY drawback was some serious technical problems -- several interruptions and interferences. I've been to many HD broadcasts, and this is the first where I've experienced these glitches. Would definitely go again and again.

Music was lovely, stars were excellent. Lavish sets and costumes. . Some technical blips which we had never experienced before Appreciated that our theater compensated the audience. We are so thrilled that we can see live opera in HD. It is like having front rows seats seeing the emotion on the faces of the cast as they sing.

I think these Live in HD performances are spectacular, visually and musically. Turandot is no exception; a huge cast, over-the- top costumes and sets, as well as beautiful singers and glorious music. However,this performance was marred by some transmission difficulties which originated at the Met. I appreciated that the theatre tried to make up for the problems. I still enjoyed the opera, and plan to see many more.
