The movie was good, slow moving, but good. I would say we probably have a little of this "film family" in our families. As you can tell, I don't have much to say about this one. I could have waited for it to come to TV.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

'Everybody's Fine' is a sweet and poignant story that will really resonate with anyone who has adult children. Robert De Niro is great, as always. He is very believable as a widower trying to re-connect with his mysteriously distant children. The discoveries he makes about his past, present, and future are good reminders for all of us. The trailers portray the movie as more of a comedy than it is. There are many sad and touching moments, so if you are looking for light, humorous amusement, you should probably see something else. If not, it's a great movie to see.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

The acting in this movie is wonderful. Robert de Niro is totally believable and accessible and honest. The other actors also pull off performances that seem true to life. The premise, however, is a bit ridiculous. These children are keeping major life truths from their father simply because as children he encouraged them to be their best, make him proud and accomplish their dreams. Come on, cut a hard working and loving dad some slack. I did cry my eyes out, so bring tissues. Loved the relationship between Robert de Niro and his grandson.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Very touching story. It felt real and down to earth. I read a few reviews before watching and was a little worried but left the movie entertained and in thought.
A few people were complaining about some inconstancies. Like the plane not being the same one Deniro boarded when he left. Or the way the train station looked. They took it as a personal insult and gave the movie a bad review.....Really? Get over it people its a movie. It was not an attack against the audience, get over yourself.
Great movie, Go check it out.

Beautiful, sad, simple, and true. "Everybody's Fine" will tap into all of your emotions, not with the clever one liner, or manipulative direction you'd expect, but with the subtle performance of a fantastic cast who are in each moment, alive and true. Perfectly led by Robert De Niro on a widower's hero's journey to reconnect with his family, directed by Kirk Jones, the audience is indeed taken through one family's battles and death itself, to return triumphant in the end, never having overcome any monster more threatening than the surprise dinner guest, the specter of unrealized dreams, or the vacuum of mother's love placed just beyond reach. This touching movie reminds us that mortality isn't great, but even so, in life everybody's fine.

Maybe I'm unusual, but I found this film very moving, maybe a little sad, but even uplifting in places. It's real life, and gave me more compassion for my own dad. Robert De Niro was so believable as the widowed dad. It was an excellent performance and the supporting cast was great also.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This is a tremendous film about the unique ties that make up family life & the way so many of us try to sidestep painful issues in order to not rock the boat, thinking that problems are best left ignored in the belief that it's for everyone's mutual benefit. DeNiro & his stellar supporting cast drive this point home in spades with equal doses of pathos & humor. I honestly have no idea why this movie seems to be tanking at the box office...again, this is quality acting, script-writing with very few flaws, & leaves one with a deep-seated feeling of gratitude for the gift of love that is unique and special among family members. I loved it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
