Just when I thought John Travolta couldn't pull out a blockbuster action roll he surprises in a big way! This action thriller set in Paris is a wild ride of big guns, epic shootouts and mounting body counts - but Travolta's character softens the edges and makes his killer look like a funny, likeable guy. Rhys Meyers is a fair enough side kick - but his over enunciation of English was distracting ... This movie was fast paced, unbelievable in spots but very entertaining. The characters did all the right things at the right time. I can believe there could be some fall out by particular groups of people but I hope they are ignored. I really like J. Travolta as a "Bad, Good Guy". I would definitely go see a sequel to this movie as the "new crime duo" get together on their next assignment. This was a GOOD MOVIE for the evening. I would enjoy seeing it again on TV.

I think this is Travolta's best movie since Pulp Fiction. The dialogue rolls. he is funny, witty and provocative. Rhy's plays an less than interesting sidekick who warms up to you over time and probably plays his role perfect as Travolta is the star. The movie rolls fast and furious and keeps your interest especially when Travolta enters. The story isn't overly creative but good enough. It seems a little convoluted as you go from Chinese drug gangs to Pakistani terrorists, but make some since toward the end. I think this is a must see and will be 2010's biggest suprise just like the Hangover was in 2009. ENJOY!

From Paris with love followed the grand tradition of post 2000 action films by merging incessant action and constant quasi-humor. This second rate bond film almost reaches it's far better organized predecessors with banter and massive explosions. Sadly, I could've seen most of this type of action in an episode of 'Burn Notice." This was your typical shoot em up movie. John Travolta managed to fire is gun in any direction and manage to hit every target.
However! I did get a few laughs. John Travolta had some great lines that made me chuckle, I loved his bald head and his performance made me forget he was in Grease.
Jonathan Rys Meyers, boy his character and acting was annoying. This was not his best work. The only time I liked him was when he had a taste of what was in the Vase.
Overall, this is a DVD movie, I wouldnt tell anyone to rush out and see it.

"From Paris With Love" surpassed our expectations. Most of the movie was filled with BIG actions scenes. Take "Training Day", "Ronin" and a couple other movies and you have "From Paris With Love". I have to say, i love John Travolta as this tough guy character. Travolta was fun to watch but the story stunk. His partner who is pretty good in other roles was terrible here. He should get his money back for what he spent for the American accent lessions.
