Highly disappointing...sure it was an hour and a half of mindless entertainment but did not meet my expectations. It was your traditional uber-American, cliche blow em up/shoot em out action film, highly unbelievable and over-dramatized by too-complicated plots & "love" story. Rhys Meyers and Travolta both perform well, but why would you cast JRM with an American accent? We're supposed to believe the guy is from the NY Ghetto when he looks straight out of a Burberry advertisement...they would have done better to make him a British MI6 agent working together with the hard-hitting American Rebel to save the world...Very generic. It could have just as easily been filmed/named for LA/NY//Moscow/London and you'd never have known the difference.

This movie was better than I thought it would be. John Travolta was near perfect in this movie. It was great to see him in a role as one of the good guys again. Jonathan Rhys-Meyers has made a very good first impression on me. He was able to transform from a series, by the book agent; to a break the rules, do whatever it takes to get the job done agent.

I would see this again! Lots of action and witty comments thoughout the movie. Good suspense and Travolta is great as usual. The Warren is a great theatre and everytime we go it just reinforces it is the only theatre we will go to.

Travolta was terrific as the larger than life Charlie Wax. Or was it Whacks? He whacked a few people. A good one throughout I thought and in my favorite city. It wasn't all serious though. Travolta's sense of humor that we saw in "Michael" and "Phenomenon" shone through a few times. Really good entertainment.

They got your action... They got your betrayal on the flip side for once with the girl ripping out the guys heart! Unlike Luc Besson's last film "Taken", there is much more of a sense of humor to break up the non-stop action. The story is simple. A low level diplomatic corp assistant aspires to be a spy and suddenly not only gets his chance but finds himself in the center of the intrigue with a very over the top James Bond character.
The story is secondary to the choreography of the fight scenes done to perfection. The pacing is breathtaking. You'll enjoy this if you like action films.

I love John Travolta and as usual he doesn't dissappoint in FPWL. Sexy with the bald head and earring and boy can he still move. Johnathan Rhys was a great sidekick - especially in the end when he "finally gets it" and saves the day. My only complaint is it could have been a little longer.

I am a hug fan of JT and this was another one of his best. He just get's better with age! The movie itself was very entertaining, lots of drama, action, suspense and of course the JT comedy. There are actors who try to be bad and you love to hate them when they are,and then there is John Travolta. Shocking, exciting, and unpredictable are the words that cone to mind. Travolta gives a witty, enjoyable performance ala Die Hard style while Rhys Meyers takes a decidedly understated tone in his role. Both come across quite well resulting in an exciting, action-adventure with a comic twist. Very enjoyable.

Travolta & Jonathan Rhys Meyers turn in some impressive performances in a high-octane suspense thriller that keeps the action going full-tilt and peppers it with some great moments of comic relief. Some may think Travolta's character is over the top; perhaps. I didn't find it offensive, though, & the unexpected plot twists spiced the storyline up nicely. Great action film; highly recommended.
