This movie was a huge dissapointment to me. With the amount of talent and stars in this movie I expected a lot more. Do yourself a favor. Watch the trailer and leave it at that. It doesnt offer anything more and really gets wierd in some parts. If i were Adam, Kevin, Chris, Rob or David, I would seriously be concerned about my career after this one. Commedians in a movie that isnt funny=bad movie.

I never stopped laughing throughout the entire movie. I've seen other movies with alot of these cast members in it, but this one takes the cake. I have to buy the DVD as soon as if comes out and watch it at home....so I can hear the parts I couldn't hear at the theater because everyone was laughing so loud! We found this to be a very funny, clean movie with lots of honest humor. Adam Sandler and Kevin James make a hillarious comedic pair, with Chris Rock, David Spade and Ron Schneider providing additional comic relief. Our big surprise was that Salma Hayek has a very poignant sense of humor that comes across well in her character. The movie was very well cast and the plot used different lifestyles very well. We also thought the children were well chosen for this film. They really played in well.

Great movie to see with family... laughs the whole time. They made a great point that kids nowadays don't know how to "play",,, that they need to be entertained all the time. Shows the love the guys have for each other as friends and their respective family's. David Spade is great as the one single guy left.. This movie was great....great music, great comedy, great fun. If you were born in the 70's you will enjoy watching the "dumb humor" about a few of the things kids used to do for fun back then. I appreciate Adam Sandler using the same actors all the time. He wrote a good movie with family values. Of course there is the expected potty humor, but it is limited. And there are some things people will take offense to, but I'm pretty sure they were just put in the movie for laughs.

When anyone that goes to a movie with expectations are sure to be let down. I went to see this movie with no expectations other than to have no butter on my popcorn, so I enjoyed this movie. Movies are based on premise and plot , I understood both of these. I both laughed and cried. I think the only thing lacking was the editing. It was choppy in two or three places. MIssing the mark on the natural flow. Each character was true to their part, including the rude real life grandmother. I know someone just like her, hummm. I would not take my 6 year old, but I would reccomend you all take your teenagers. There is a important message about raising your child with a sense of entitlement. And an important message to everyone about love and life in the end. I would so recommend everyone see this movie. Not to see any of the funny men , but to see a Happy Madison Production that sends a strong message under the guise of laughter. Very Funny indeed. And for those who saw it and left unhappy , well maybe for you the movie's message hit too close to home. I would go see this movie again.

I was looking forward to this movie because it seemed like a good summer comedy. With all the big name comedians in the movie, I thought I would have laughed a little harder than I did and I found some of the characters (David Spade's character and Chris Rock's movie mother in law) to be rather unnecessary to the plot. The mother in law role tries hard to gain the audience's laughter, but I think the audience I was in was more insulted by the modern mammy (or even the Tyler Perry-esque) material which you do not expect from an Adam Sandler movie. I could have waited for it to come to DVD and I was disappointed because I am a fan of all of the comedians in this movie.

I took my two sons ages 16 and 11 and thought that it was too crude for both. There was no reason to show a man's ass; absolutely no reason! I really like these guys and since they have children, I just assumed that they would have used more family humor that goes on in their lives and they didn't have any. It was just the usual humor. Most of the funny parts were already shown on the commercials. I still love all these guys and would still see their next movies because I am a fan, but I won't go with my children because it was too crude!

Grown Ups was a fun, simple film with a loose plotline and predictable humor. I don't think this is the movie to see if you are looking for a deep, meaningful film. But, as a guilty pleasure and lots of laughs, this film delivers. I laughed out loud at least 20 times and that made the movie worth the price of admission. The film was appropriate for kids at least 10+ and was a fun summer film. The best part of the movie watching the cast interact. It seemed more like a picnic/retreat with friends than a movie, which made it easy to watch.

Adam Sandler has made me laugh for years, but this one made it hard to catch my breath. Some of the stunts are pretty predictable, but even that is okay. My husband, and granddaughter saw Grown Ups with me and we all laughed so hard we can't wait to see it again.

if your looking for a true belly laugh movie this is the one. The characters had just as much fun doing the movie as my husband and I had watching them. The whole movie never let you down, you laughed till the end.

I went the night this movie opened so the theater was VERY FULL with lots of kids. I rarely go to the movies the night a film comes out but we went anyway. Throughout the whole movie everyone was laughing WAY too hard. I thought there were moments that were funny but not THAT funny. I felt like the laughter was so overwhelming I couldn't decide if I thought it was funny too. I had a hard time hearing the line after the punch line which was really annoying. I suggest you wait a bit until the theaters empty out a little or wait until it's on DVD so you can watch it and be able to hear the movie. There were some moments I didn't feel were appropriate for children (sexual). Also, they give away that there is no tooth fairy so if you have an issue with that then maybe you should break the news to your kids before you go see it. It's worth seeing if you wanna see some silly, awkward comedy but maybe wait until the crowds die down.

Wasn't all that impressed. Had a few laughs, but certainly not something to tell others to go see.
