I went to see this movie because I knew I would love it. As soon as the movie started I was hooked and it took about 15 mins for me to start crying and to know that this would be my favorite movie of all time. I guess I am always a little disappointed with movies based off of a book. The book was so much better. The characters didn't match the ones described in the book and a few of the main plots were changed. It wasn't a horrible movie just not as good as the book.

This was one of the most boring moviesI have ever seen and people were actually walking out. Since it was a Valentines day date, we stayed for the whole thing. The performances were mediocre and if this movie was cast right, then maybe it could have been a good story. I loved this movie! And my husband actually liked it as well. I read the book a few years back and although it was sad, I loved it. They change th ending slightly but really, they just leave more up to you whether you want it to be sad or happy which I think was the perfect way to do it. If you liked the book, they keep enough of the book in it, especially when it comes to the feel of the book. I was very impressed. My husband doesn't like chick flicks but he doesn't mind them when they have an actual storyline and this one does. Great movie!

Not only was it a good love story, but it showed the incredible sacrifice that our troops experience when they are torn between their homes and defending their country. Had some good action for the guys and some tenderness for the girls. Very sweet. I didn't read the book so I'm not sure how it compares. I do know that it sounds like it ends better than the book did. I'm pretty picky about what I watch...I don't like profanity or sex scenes. I thought the acting was well done, but the story line a bit choppy at times. Channing Tatum seemed to be stretching to deliver the dramatic and tearful moments. Amanda Seyfried is just plain gorgeous and a good actress as well.

Having read the book, I knew the story. It is a situation that could very well happen in real life....very moving and intense. It was just what I expected it to be.

It speaks about how life works sometimes. It was a very romantic movie, even though it didn't end like a regular fairytale. It got my girlfriend crying and even me a little bit.
