My 6 year old daughter couldn't wait to see Jackie Chan in action. We got good seats and had a blast watching the movie. The action was great, not to violent and the kids were adorable. We will be going back to see Jackie in Karate kid when that opens.

my family and i really enjoyed the movie despite the weak plot (some notes that it's a copy of james cameron's true lies) but i really do not care because being a lighthearted movie, it's really did succeeded in that sense. Not only I and my family laughed but the whole theater laughed too. We did really have a good time. And the kids in the movie, omg, they're super cute, especially the youngest little girl.
Go watch it and leave criticism outside!

I saw this with my three kids, ages 8, 10 and 11. We all enjoyed it very much. I wouldn't say I'd nominate it for an Academy Award, but it was still entertaining and didn't disappoint.

The movie was good. Jackie Chan played a different type character than I am use to him doing. He was still a martial arts master even though most of the fight scenes were in self defense.
I took my partner and two daughers age 13 and 10yrs. They loved it- ver funny. The movie was a family movie- Thumbs up.

What can I say, I like Jackie Chan and kid movies but I still couldn't get into this movie. The plot has already been done more or less, "The Passifier", and needed to take it to the next level. Younger kids would probably like this movie but adults will most likely lose interest quickly, I had to wake my wife twice. Save your money and wait for the DVD if you must see it.

I took my son and his best friend to see this movie for my son's 12th birthday. I love Jackie Chan, so I though I would love this movie. Unfortunately, this movie was as appetizing to me as the oatmeal J.C. tries to make for the kids in this movie. It was almost painful for me to watch. I was not the only adult in the theatre who appeared to be bored by it. BUT - the kids liked it, and it was clean fun, so I guess that's what counts the most. After all, there are few options for clean fun for kids in Hollywood these days.

My husband and I took our 11 year old grandson to see this movie. We all enjoyed it and found that it was appropriate and entertaining for all of us. It was funny, exciting and we enjoyed anticipating the bad guys, (who were not too scary) coming, knowing that "we" had them beaten! I had read a dreadful review in the Miami Herald before taking my child to see The Spy Next Door, so my expectations were low. That said, I think the movie fulfilled its goal of being entertaining to children. My son and his buddies laughed and interacted with the movie all the way through. Jackie Chan is a fun actor... this shows thoughout the movie. Fun story, great cast. The kids in the threater seemed to enjoy it. I would give it 4 stars from the kids.
