My teenage son and I went to see the movie. We both enjoyed it. Not gonna win awards, but was funny, romatic, action without real violence, a little intrigue. Definitely worth the time and money.

If you like Jackie Chan movies and you have kids, you'll love to watch this movie with them. Although there is some "violence" the hard hits are not shown, so those of you who are OK with your kids seeing martial arts at work without gore this movie is for you. Many laughs and plenty of good stunts. The sound track is filled with good quality music and the out takes at the end are worth watching as well.

It's certainly not a great movie nor is it Jackie Chan's best either and sometimes a lesson in course acting, but it's still fun and entertaining and the kids loved it. Madeline Carroll is an actress to keep an eye out for in the future. She seems to have a lot of potential that we didn't all see in this movie. Jackie is Jackie, what more can you say. Even if he has had to slow down, he is still physical and funny as ever. I think the rest of the cast let the film down a little and it could never decide to be either straight or over the top silly, which could also be a problem with direction (never easy if Jackie is around).

This is a cute kid's film, okay for children aged to pre-teens. Many of the fight and action scenes are very hokey. The children in the movie are not likeable and the mother comes across a a shallow ditz. The antagonist is more annoying than threatening but there was plenty to laugh about and it leaves you feeling good when you walk out. My 13-year old enjoyed the movie and I didn’t mind sitting through it.
Definitely not a movie I would recommend for adult viewers only.

The fact that Jackie Chan was starring with children caught my attention, but the failure to mention Jorge Lopez, and Billy Ray Cyrus starring also is a hidden clue of the movie's awful acting and cheap cheesy outcome. Yeah my son (6 years old) has a great sense of humor and usaully laughs until he loses his breath. This movie he barely moved or made him laughed. SAVE YOURSELF TIME. Silly, disjointed and totally implausible, but better than I thought it would be. The trailers wisely left out the part where Jackie Chan is not only the neighbor, but the mother's boyfriend. Then there was the whole bit about the bad guy's clothes, the partner that wasn't, and the twist that everyone saw coming five minutes in to the movie. I'll give it points for having no bad language or rude humor, and even a few laughs; which make it a passable family movie. But let's hope there's no sequel.
