This movie exceeded my expectations from the 2nd movie "New Moon " which I was not happy with and felt it was lacking in a lot of areas . But Twilight Eclipse has actual action and drama through out the whole film, and even a lot of funny parts/humor that I was not expecting. It even seemed like they brought back those beautiful scenery shots with Bella and Edward that I loved from the first move, which I felt was really lacking in the second one. Overall, I felt this was great and I truly enjoyed it from beginning to end. Those who were unhappy with New Moon Should see Eclipse, as you will be pleasantly surprised.

I loved all the books and while I enjoyed the first two movies, there were too many missing details in them. Eclipse stayed more true to the books. It also included more of the Quilette pack, the entire Cullen family ( a more personal look at each member) and the acting was much improved as well.
Love Robert Pattinson but his role in the first two seemed a little over dramatized, much more natural in this movie, same for Kristen Stewart.
Highly recommend it!

taylor's acting in this movie was much better than the last two. i loved that they hit important parts of the book that us twihards love. it was much darker, which made it feel much more like the book. overall eclipse was my favorite movie!!!

As you all are familiar now with the Twilight saga, the third installment is here. It was definately better than Twilight....it was closer to the book. However, I still have major issues with Kristen's portrayal as Bella. It's not that she is horrible, she just doesn't give off the passion that you expect after reading the books. Rob & Taylor have their characters down pat. They are wonderful. It's still a great movie. How can you not love a great, passionate love affair. It leaves all women swooning for our men to adore us they way Edward adores Bella. The action is wonderful & they did a great job. A must see for all of us Twilighters!

I didn't care much for the New Moon as it was sort of "lifeless" for me, therefore I did not expect anything much better from the Eclipse. I was WRONG! The movie was really good - had the warmth, humor and action covered. And the midnight opening contributed too. I belong to the "Team Edward" group, but must admit that Jacob did very good in Eclipse. I am going to see the movie again!

In general I think these Twilight movies are just OK. (I heard the books are better). The main actors are just mediocre and the movies are pretty predictable. I actually like the secondary characters better than the main. I find Edmund to "sappy" and annoying and Jakub arrogant with the cliche that he will always be there. I got started on them because my sister got free tickets to one of the premiers for Full Moon. So of course I had to rent the first to know what was going on. This 3rd movie in the series has been the best of the three so far though. I will have to see the final 2 movies though just so I see how it ends (even though I have a good idea).

Let me reveal this at the beginning of the review, I hated Twilight New Moon. I absolutely despised it. I thought the entire movie sucked. So I wasn’t expecting much when I sat down to see Twilight Eclipse. But then I liked it. I really liked it. I seriously got into the movie. I was firmly in Team Edward and found myself pist when the hormonal teenage girls around me were Team Jacob. They swooned and wet their pants when he was on screen with his shirt off. They rooted for Bella to pick him over Edward. I was so into the movie that I yelled out “dirty whores” and “sluts” every time they cheered Jacob. I felt like I was in the twilight zone.
In my opinion, the major difference in the movie was the third different director in David Slade. Slade focused more on action and let the dialogue lead the scenes. He showed the amazing landscapes in the backgrounds but he didn’t let them take over the scene. David obviously had to play to the base of the series, and included the love triangle scenes throughout the movie. But they were easily my least favorite scenes of the movie. There was even a homoerotic scene with Jacob and Edward that made me think they were going to kiss. Just watch for the tent scene.
Another thing I didn’t like about the movie was the obviously over-the-top decision to have Jacob go shirtless the entire movie. Why couldn’t Bella do the same to even it out? I get that Taylor Lautner has a sick build and that the teenage girls love him, but you can get the guy a shirt. Whoever was the costume designer for Eclipse basically had a no-show job. Hey Taylor just throw on a pair of shorts and do your scene. No shoes? No shirt? No problem!
The best scenes of the movie were the fight scenes. The fight between the vampire army and the Cullen/Indian tribes was epic. There was a lot of awesome ass kicking and some serious scenes were limbs were ripped apart like Bella’s hormones. The way the damage was taken by the vampires was genius and the shattering of faces was an awesome effect in the repertoire of David Slade.
According to my fiancee’ the movie was very close to the book. That’s always a plus for me, even though I never read any of Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight books. There wasn’t as much of Bella’s brooding in this film, which is a huge plus. There was the obvious internal conflict, and external as well, but Bella articulated herself instead of relying on horrendous facial acting and brooding scenes to display her emotion. It’s amazing how much more likable Bella is as a character when she is multi-faceted. The acting wasn’t Shakespearean, but it was a lot better than in the past two movies.
Everything came together really well in this movie and made me actually like it. When a movie of this genre can make an outsider appreciate and like what’s going on, then it should be labeled a success. So in my eyes, this movie was a big success.
OUTCOME: 8 out 10 stars. If you’re a fan of the franchise, you’ll love it. If you’re not? You just might find yourself enjoying it a lot more than you expected.

This was a great movie. I am very happy with the results and it's by far much better than the first and second parts of the series. I find that book lovers will appreciate the actors and the directors approach in this third installment. Although I have to agree with some people that the original "Victoria" should have been kept it was an awesome movie and I can't wait for New Dawn. Great work if I didn't have work myself i'd go again...and again...and again =) Mind you I am a nurse lol with my thirteen year old kid as a my date.

I have been waiting for the Twilight series to be made into movies. I think that Twilight Saga: Eclipse was the best movie out of the three twilight movies that have come out. Seeing Eclipse and all the intense action, romance, and comedy here and there, I cannot wait for Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn to come out. It was one of the BEST movies I have ever seen. Overall I thought this was a good movie but not great! The plot is not so easy to follow! They should have added better scenes from the book. The really good scenes were too short. The movies main downfalls are the much too obvious red contact lenses, cheesy wigs (could edwards eyebrows be any bushier), poor contrast in skin tones between the vampires and the humans,(way overdone on the makeup) rushed execution of the action sequences and the drab-looking costumes. A big change from the first two. Much to hard to overlook all of these flaws! Hopefully, Breaking Dawn will be better!
