And that's saying a lot. I never read the books but got hooked anyway. (Am reading them now, tho'). There was a good balance in the story between Edward and Jacob . . . and the verbal jabs between them were spot on. The double threats of Victoria and the Vampire army really intensified the action. Really loved this movie. My only complaint is the overuse of the handheld camera, which made me nauseated. Enough already of the shaky cams, Directors!

For fans of the books, and those whose favorite of the series was Eclipse, the film version of Stephenie Meyer's third installment in the Twilight Series is by far the best of the films and will not disappoint.
From first scene to last scene, the film version of Eclipse manages to contain all the best parts of the book, while adding all the action sequences Bella (and by extension, the reader) wasn't there to witness firsthand; a terrific combination.

More action, more intense, more heat! Great third installment, you will be entertained. True Blood for teenagers, but still lots of fun to watch and experience the audience participation. Can't wait for the next one!

These twilight movies are horrible. Immature girls make up about 95% of the money they made of this movie. Some people need to get a life.I did see all of these movies with my girlfriend for her sake. I don't think they are good at all. This series sucks compared to Harry Potter, and other series like that.

I'm a Twihard so I enjoy these movies, but I totally understand the confusion of people who haven't read the books. The movies don't stand alone well without all of the emotional background that you get in the books. Taylor Lautner is adorable, but it still bothers me that he's so small. The character should be HUGE. Not the best casting there. Otherwise, this movie matched the Eclipse book quite well.

I love the books! The 1st movie I didn't like and was upset at the director for not following the book, movie #2 was much better and followed the book very closely. movie #3 I feel it is in the same line as #2. It did follow the book very closely and there was much more action in it that will appeal to the guys. I felt that between the acting Rob and Kristin was very poor while Taylor shined and held the movie. I loved the flash backs it brought you closer to the other Cullen Family members and closer to understanding the tribe. Understandably there is much more dialog in the books than in the move, but it was a good movie and worth going to see.

I don't feel Eclipse was as good as the previous two installments were. My imagination had to work overtime at times to make it seem real. With the previous two Twilights, it was very easy.I felt that the special effects this time were a bit over the top. One of the "good guys" should have died in the big battle. The fact that no one did made me wonder why. The enemy was supposedly much more faster and stronger. And war always has death on both sides. But, this movie, like all others are an escape from reality.
And in that region, anything goes. Anyway, it's a movie worth going to see.

Okay so the thing is, by now everyone has made up their minds about Twilight. You either love it or you hate it, and there seems to be no middle ground. So if you do like Twilight, but do not partake in the mass hysteria, you are still hesitant to admit that you have ever had anything to do with the series.
I myself am not a "twihard" by any means, but I have read the books and I enjoyed them. Still, I never go into a Twilight movie with high expectations. That being said, the film was an incredibly accurate adaptation of the book. There will still be the obsessed fans that get all worked up because "this line was left out!" or "he didn't say it right!" or "she never said that!" but all-in-all, it was one of the best film adaptations I have ever seen. I mean look at the difference between this adaptation and those of the Harry Potter series. Huge difference. So I think the filmmakers deserve huge credit for that.
Also, this plotline was just more interesting. There is just more depth to the characters and you get to learn more about them instead of just seeing them stand in the background. The action was much, much better in this installment, and I thought overall it was a really good movie. There are obviously the cheesy lines and overly dramatic romantic situations but hey, that's how the book goes, that's what sold millions of copies so yeah, they're gonna stick with that strategy.

I thought the movie was great. The fight scenes were awesome and the scenes with Edward, Bella, and Jacob are passionate and will played by the actors and actress. Overall it is just a great movie and can't wait till the next movie is out in theaters.

As of tonight I will have seen this movie for the 12th time. I honestly think this is the best of the 3 movies. David Slade did an awesome job and of course so did Kristen, Rob and Taylor. The action sequences are awesome and the story pretty much flows like the book (mostly - but there are some things that are different but overall, awesome movie!!)

I loved it. I will buy the cd when it is released and watch it again and again. It was very entertaining and that is what movies are all about! I laughed and cried. It takes you away for 2 hours from all the problems in your life. I can't wait for the next movie to come out!!

The acting is dreadful and the editing not much better, but this series is compulsory viewing for the XX chromosome. Just grit your teeth, watch the beautiful scenery and tell your 12 year old niece (daughter, grandaughter,etc...) yes, the werewolf is hot. At least he isn't jailbait anymore...

the vampire action and fighting was good. however after seeing this 3rd movie in the saga, i am definitely not liking Bella. she seems to have a chronic mood disorder. never happy and now playing 2 guys !!!
also edward is too clingy to bella all the time. almost stalking her. both characters are stuck in puberty . i think the werewolf jacob seems to be the only straight arrow here.

The movie was so bad it was good. Poor acting, cheesy lines & underwhelming special affects. That being said, my friends and I laughed through the entire movie and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! We are also 10 years older than the target demographic. Go see it, its fun!

Overall, absolutely amazing movie. I really enjoyed how it stayed completely true to the book, the fight scenes might be too much for some little kids, but I definetly reconmend that movie fans go and see it, even if your not a twilight fan.

I felt this movie was okay. It's definitely a teen-flick and it just wasn't my type of movie. Never been a fan of Kristen Stewart. Her acting is just too bland and emotionless to me. I think people who are fans of the series would definitely love this movie, but for others, a slight chance.

They did a wonderful job with this movie. I really liked the actors performance compared to New Moon. Stewart stepped it up a little bit. Taylor Latner did a fabulous job at portraying Jacob. I still prefer the books, but it was fantastic to see the words come to life!!!!
