I saw this movie on opening night and I really did think it was worth the wait. It did live up to the previews and hype in my opinion. It was the best of the Twilight Saga. It followed the book as best as a movie could. I think they packed as much into a 2hr movie that they could to stay true to the story and satisfy the fans. I really did enjoy the movie and I have seen it again since in a quieter theatre and noticed other things that I missed on opening night and enjoyed it even more the second time around.

The movie did a great job with special effects and brought the book to life wonderfully. I missed the Victoria from the previous movies, but the replacement did okay. I have read all the books, but went to see this movie with a friend who has only seen the movies. For both of us it proved to be an exciting and interesting movie! Edward looks better in this movie than in New Moon and I enjoyed the better character development of the Cullens family members. The relationship between Bella and Edward and Bella and Jacob seems a little forced and contrived at times. This makes it difficult to get absorbed into the passionate love between them, whereas I had no problem getting wrapped up into it in the books. This movie, overall, left me looking forward to the final movie in the sequel.

Overall not bad... the graphics were good and it stayed with the overall story line but it was a very slow moving movie... I preferred the 2nd movie over this one.

We watch the two previous movies to get caught up with the story...couldn't read the books...Great if your a teenager...thought he could have changed into a werewolf when he was warming her up...wanted more of the fight/war scene...more dialog between the evil vampires...found the female main character to be extremely full of drama...I get her saga...but please...Again...a great teen movie...........

I thought the movie was much more intense and had more feeling and action than the first two. Being an overall Twilight book and movie fan I have to agree with some comments that the makeup on the vamps could be more real.

The setting is perfect for the description in the books. The tent scene is so remote looking that it is hard to believe that Jake was able to walk Bella up that mountain in what seemed to be very quick. I was a litle disappointed that it was not explained about Sam's girlfriend facial scars and how she got them. Victoria's character was perfect as what I imagined her to look like, played well by Bryce Dallas Howard. Kristen Stewart's acting I feel is improved in this movie. Overall, very good.

I would recommend this movie to friends because it is very close and true to the book. You learn more about some of the main characters in this film. Lots of action, drama, and pretty good fight scenes. This is, in my opinion, the best of the Twilight movies so far!

I bought the tickets for my daughter and a friend. The teens are so into this story line. They said it was great and they want to go see it again and again. She has loved the previous two movies as well. I saw the first and second movie and enjoyed them also, but wasted my time going to see inception with my husband instead of this movie with her which was a big mistake.

I think the series is difficult to enjoy or appreciate if you haven't read the books or if you're not a fan of the series -it is first and foremost a love story. I read all 4 books before the first movie ever came out, and knowing the story well enough but not having the Eclipse book fresh in my mind, I can't compare the authenticity, however, I loved the third movie, I thought it was excellent. I'm especially very impressed with the wolves, the special effects had the potential to be very bad or overally unrealistic, but they're exactly how I pictured them. The tent scene is probably one of the most memorable scenes and should be...you can just feel how strongly Jacob feels for Bella, how serene and happy he looks while he's keeping her warm, and you see him finally starting to understand and respect Edward (sort of). I think people tend to analyze the story a little too much, just take it for what it is - a love story with vampires and werewolves.

I LOVED the books so I was a little disappointed by this movie. The other movies followed the books so much better. I realize you cant turn a book into the movie but you should stay as true to the book as possible which this movie didn't do. I went with a friend who didn't read the book and she loved it. I expected more from this movie, it was my favorite book out of the three. I still feel the movie was fantastic and woudn't have missed it I was just disappointed.

I may have a biased opinion because I'm not too into love stories, but this movie had a lot of more love drama in it than the other two movies. From the trailers I was expecting the movie to be more action-based. Eclipse was even better the 2nd time around. All of them are terrific. They have a great story line and don't delve into the "soap" aspects as so many movies end up doing, i.e. Harry Potter, ugh.

I find that trying to compare the movies to the books is a waste of time. For a sequel, it was adequate. After seeing it at least four times I guess I like it or I need to go to treatment for OCD. The good thing about the movie is that you visually see the confrontation between Paul and Emmett and other items that were missing in the book due to Bella's point of view.

Eclipse is my most favorite of the 4 books, I've read it over a dozen times, so I was extremely excited when the movie was released. This is by far the best of the 3 movies released. It was very close to the book with not too much edited, the acton was GREAT!! I have seen it twice and will go see it again. If you are not a Twilight fan, you will be after seeing this movie.

I am hooked on these books and movies but was disappointed with Eclipse. In the first two movies you could feel the passion between Edward and Bella. In this movie it was like they had been together for 10 years and I also hated the kiss between her and Jacob. It was much more passionate than the kisses with Edward. Also, I didn't like the end when she said it was more about becoming a vampire than being with Edward.
