I've read all the books and have seen all three of the movies. I was excited to see the movie and it fell short of my expectations. The best part of the film was the fight scene with the wolves and vampires v. the newbie vampires. It was interesting to get some of the back stories on how the other characters became vampires. But the love story has lost its steam. It's become a little trite. I think the second movie was the best.

This was the best Twilight Saga movie yet! I absolutely loved it. There have been things with each of the movies I haven't liked, but it has nothing to do with the movies, but the actors. Eclipse was brilliantly written and the action was amazing! This movie is a MUST SEE for any Twilight fan, regardless of whose "team" you are on.

Best yet in the Twilight Saga. I went and saw it with friends and then saw it again with my Twilight fanatical children. It was great! Good acting, good directing, awesome special effects and the storyline stayed true to the book. They couldn't have done it better!

Absolutely loved it! The characters looked better, the music was better, and the plot covered all of t he best parts of the book. This movie will not only please the twihards, but the general movie fans as well. If I had to find something to regret, it is the lack of emotion from Bella. Shed some tears already, we all did!

Saw the movie twice already. Great movie. Captures the audience. It was great that some of the history was introduced in order to get the viewers aware of what is happening and what happened in the past. Overall, a magnificent movie and is a definite must see.

I enjoyed Eclipse as someone watching the Twilight books unfold on the big screen. It had action, tons of drama, and some interesting back stories of the lesser known characters. The one thing I felt was lacking was Stephanie Meyer's comedic sublty. Small details that make the book come to life were missing, which makes me wonder if the author was not consulted as she has been in the past. Overall, I'd recommend this movie.

If you don't like the movie theme, (werewolves, vampires, etc) you may still enjoy the special effects and the action.
I enjoyed learning a bit about the history of some of the supporting characters, however, for those who have followed the movies since the first, you will see a bit of "Oops, they messed up there'. See if you can spot it. Hint: Originally he was a new vampire and not capable of self-control.
All in all...I loved the movie, can't wait for the next one. I like both the guys so...I am happy with either one Bella picks. I do hope this won't be like the day tme soaps where it drags on and on..and on...

This newest release of the Twilight saga is the best yet. They have raised the bar yet again on the special effects, makeup, acting and integrity of the books. This is the first movie to show all the Cullens thirsty, which was a pleasant surprise. Each of the movies has marked improvements, but you must see them all to appreciate the story line, especially if you have not read the books. If you can tolerate watching the first, Twilight, with it's pathetic, cheesy special effects, inconsistent makeup and eye color vampires, a no abs, sweaty Edward, then you are in for a treat with the second movie, with sincere acting, believable special effects and a truer representation of the book New Moon, (along with a gorgeous Edward) . There are even more improvements in the third of the series, Eclipse, to makeup, acting, special effects and scope of the story, with the addition of more actors and background. The chase and fight scenes are intense and beliveable, and left me wanting more. I for one cannot wait to see if there are yet more improvements with the final movie(s). They may, after all, begin to do the books justice.

This is better than what the critics would like you to think. Not a great movie or a bad one but a good step up from that last mess "New Moon". Still,of the big multi-movie franchises, this "Saga" I'm afraid is to be remembered as a lower quality one-not close to being in the league of "The Lord of the Rings" or "Harry Potter". Pity. It could have been so much better. Summit Studio can only see these movies as a cash cow, not a future classic. It's the "make the money and run" philosophy that's slowing killing Hollywood and Summit is adding to that wound.
