I loved the book it was so wonderful and sucked you right in. The movie on the other hand felt choppy in some parts and then rushed in others. I agree with another review that the Vamps were VERY WHITE and something was up with Bella's hair...
The director needed to stay TRUE to the book and I think the movie would have been great. I still recommend this movie just due to the fact its the next on in the Saga.

I saw the movie this morning at 12:10am. I think the movie was great. It touched on the important parts from the book. It had everything: action, a lil humor, a lil sadness and sensuality. I am going to see it again today.

I really liked the books and the movies have been enjoyable to watch. I belive they have improved each time. The only thing I did not like is somthing prev stated in a review - the vampires looked to "chalky" too much makeup there were some scenes that they did not and that was ok -
It was well worth seeing at 12:01am and the very little sleep for a weekday!
Harkins Theater had us inside waiting sitting comfy by 9:30 instead of waiting outside - much better then the wait outside we had at another theater last year.
Go team Edward!!

This is by far my favorite movie out of the three. It, for the most part, stays true to the book. I have read the books multiple times and was still so excited to see everything unfold on screen. ALL of the actors did an amazing job and seem to be getting more comfortable with their characters. I will definitely be going to see this again in theaters!!!!

So far, this is the best one yet. There is a lot more action and there is also some great comedy. You're never not interested in this movie. The movie actually provides some input on certain characters backgrounds before their lives in the movie - which is an added plus.

I thought this movie was just as great as the others in the saga. I will see it again in the theater and then will buy it when it comes out on DVD. If I had to give some criticism of the movie, having read the book , there were some details that weren't accurate and jumped around too much, i.e. things that happen in the range of page 300 of the book were in the first 10 minutes of the movie and things that happened earlier in the book were in the middle of the movie, etc. Also, the vampire's make-up was horrible. They looked too pasty. They are supposed to be beautiful creatures and all I wanted to do was pluck Rosalie's and Edward's eyebrows!

This was the best represented book of the series to date I believe. I do think that the progression of adult content is becoming apparent through this movie, but still tastefully done enough. The action was great! The romance was great! The growing of the writing and acting is definitely showing in this movie, which I could watch over and over!

What a wonderful way to continue this Saga!!. I truly enjoyed the midnight showing of Eclipse as did both my daughter and son.
Bravo!! The special effects were wonderful. We have come a long way from the budget Twilight had and believe me it was well worth every penny invested. Cant wait to see the next adventure if I am not mistaken Breaking Dawn will be directed by Bill Condon (who directed Dreamgirls) and Melissa Rosenberg will be back as the screen writer . its suppose to be a two part series and yes we will be there for both of those as well. Midnight showing of course!!
Team Jacob all the way cause True Men Dont Sparkle LOL

I love that the people in the theater with interest in this series is very wide. All sorts, ages, race, mostly women, but still some men. Each film has improved greatly since the last and I just can't wait for Breaking Dawn! Would give it a 5, but Breaking Dawn will then be off the charts.

I loved Twilight and New Moon but this was by far the best of the 3. It was very true to the book and the graphics were so much better. I was blown away by it and can't wait to see it again in IMAX!!

I thought this was the best movie from the Twilight Saga, yet!
Everything from the fight scenes to the cute little one liners (BEST of night: Jacob to Edward, "I AM hotter than you!") to the make-up jobs (Carlisle didn't look 'powdery' for a change!) ... this was just waaay better than the other two. I can't even imagine what's in store for the next one!

The music was better than New Moon. Very little was left out from the book, which is the most important asset of any movie from a book. It moved a bit fast paced. They could have taken an extra 15-30 minutes and slowed it down some.
Over all I loved the movie of course! I couldn't take my eyes off the screen

I would have to say that the comedic element within this movie made it much more enjoyable than the first two. Though I could have done without the strange camera angles and over abundance of close-ups. Overall I would say I was delightfully surprised with how this film turned out. I would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of the Twilight Saga but urge that they go into it without any heightened expectations.

Eclipse was a triumph and a tragedy all at the same time. The directing, acting chemistry and overall quality of the film was the best of all three of the "Twighlight" movies. However, the violence and sensually exaggerated content was distractingly intense. In the end, these overdone elements took away from the film.

Eclipse was a bit more "grown up" but is still okay for the younger fans. So parents don't worry. I took my 14 yr. old son and he was liked the movies action scenes. Overall "Go see Eclipse, it was awesome!"

This was a feel good movie with a good message. Some people we know put this whole series down because they said it wasn't morally clean. I totally disagree. All of the heroes in the movie (and there are many) represent principles of goodness and explore all the challenges of the battles we all face in life and love, especially as teenagers. And the story presents it in a way that shouldn't make anyone ashamed. Edward makes a good role model for young men, proving that old-fashioned morals and respectful, mature behavior are still just as valuable today. Our 2 teenage boys loved it and so did we, even after reading all the books. In fact, they did a good job of staying with the feeling and storyline of the book. It was just as I had imagined it. Okay, so it was geared a little more toward the ladies, but I liked watching my wife and my mom enjoy it. Great date movie. Can't wait for the next one.

My 10 yr old and I went to the midnight showing and both thought the movie was GREAT! There were a couple scenes that were a little steamy, but nothing raunchy. Nothing that she can't see on regular tv. The theater did an amazing job filtering everyone in - overall fantastic. Loved the one-liners from Edward and Jacob. I thought some of the scenes could have used a little more detail from the book. Can't wait for Breaking Dawn!

Although I have not read any of the Twilight books, from a movie standpoint, this sequel was made with a bit more finesse then the last two predecessors. Although it was necessary to convey the love triangle conflict, there were times when this was so apparent and obvious, that it wasn't necessary to have Bella repeatedly continue her serious dialogue between Jake and Edward. We know how she feels, although who kisses a man in front of her man after she just agrees to marry her man? ...and who tells someone that they love someone more?..Ouch!...At times these awkward scenes became humorous for the audience which was perhaps a relief of the ongoing ,serious, bland, predictable, triangular love dialogue. And speaking of humor, what was that tent scene all about?Did we really need to get a glimpse of Jake's slutty side and didn't he have some fighting to do instead of warming up his dream girl? Make a fire, or grab a few more blankets Edward!
Overall, typical Twilight style with a touch of deeper detail, effects and human relating dialogue.

Let me start off by saying I am a huge fan of the Twilight Saga books....as most of you are.
Eclipse is my favorite book in the series, so I had very high expectations for this movie. That said...the movie was very good..but still fell a little short of my expectations. Most of my problems with the movie revolve around the fact that I just don't think Kristen Stewart is a very good actress . She is emotionless, in a role that calls for a LOT of emotion. If she had the acting ability of Ashley Greene or Nikki Reed, the movie(s) would have been much better.(Dakota Fanning was not much better in her role either in this movie) I'm not sure of the reason why Bryce Dallas Howard took over the role of Victoria, but it was unnecessary for the 10 actual minutes of screen time she got in this movie) Also, the movies just seem rushed...especially Eclipse. I think splitting the final movie into two parts may turn out to be the smarted thing they have done yet. I wanted more time on the back-stories for each character.
Ok, with the bad stuff out of the way...let's move on to the GOOD stuff. As I said, I did enjoy the movie and it was very good. It was good to see secondary characters SHINE in this movie the way they did...especially Jackson Rathbone(Jasper)...but also Nikki Reed(Rosalie) and even Billy Burke (Charlie Swan) were great. Ashley Greene is always on target too.
The "tent scene" was the best of the movie...great chemistry between Pattinson and Lautner on their back and forth sequence in the tent . Overall...a very good movie.....faults and all...for fans of the books. It might not bring in "new" fans...but true fans of the books and movie...aren't really concerned about that. We know that WE like it...and that's really all that matters. See it.....enjoy it.....and get ready for the next two movies !!

i thought this was the best movie yet in the series. I would recommend this movie to family and friends my only complaint is the Bella and Jacob kissing scene I thought they could've added what actually happened in the book during it so you could see how difficult her decision actually was. I'm going to see it again on Friday and can't wait. Excellent Movie!!!
