Each installment in the Twilight series gets better! I cannot wait to watch Breaking Dawn in the form of two movies! I thought Eclipse was great! It was really true to the book, and did an excellent job portraying it. The action scenes were really cool! The only thing I didn't enjoy is the Victoria character change and some of the hairstyles (particularly Jasper's!) Also, the vampires shattering was weird. I don't remember that being in the book, or the previous two movies. It was like they were trying to avoid blood, so they shattered them. Overall though, I really enjoyed the movie, and thought it was great.

I have to admit, I have had quite an enjoyable time not caring much for the Twilight movies... until now. One of my main problems with the two previous movies was the "over-acting" done by Kristen Stewart. It may be the new director, or maybe just Ms. Stewart is growing and maturing as an actress. All I know for sure is that I wasn't constantly distracted by her overly dramatic acting. I went for the purpose of taking my daughter, but quickly found myself enjoying this movie. The story and the visuals were both done very well. For those who enjoy some story along with action, this one has both. I find myself actually anticipating the next movie for once...

I absolutely LOVED this movie! It was awesome! I can not say enough about how good it was! The effects were great, the acting is better than ever, the scenery was amazing, and it truly has lived up to the hype! I am definitely planning on seeing this again, and again!!!

As a guy who was attending this movie with a girl and not for my own enjoyment, I can honestly say it wasn't too bad. There was actually some pretty solid action for the non-fan dates like me. There were even a few good laughs. The acting was hit or miss at times, but overall decent. It avoided being annoyingly awkward like the first one or sending a terrible message like the second one (namely when it romanticized suicide). Overall a decent summer blockbuster and date movie.

Eclipse is definitely my favorite book of the series so I was worried that the movie might disappoint, but it did not at all. They did a wonderful job. I loved the humor especially the one liners. It was great and I loved it!

Good movie overall. Left somethings out that were in the book, understandable to make the movie not drag on for 4 hours. Not as good as the 2nd movie though. Still loved it, although Taylor Launter (Jacob) seemed to have slimed down a bit. But I think they are capturing Edward a bit better over the movies.

The 3rd installment of the Twilight Saga really delivered a thrilling movie! It was full of eye candy for the ladies and action scenes for the men who were dragged to see it by their ladies. ;) I loved this movie and cannot wait to see it again!

I thought it was great! There was a lot of action scenes in the movie and I thought that was great but I would of liked to have seen more of Bella and Edward when they were alone in Edwards house. In the book, Edward is talking to Bella about the bracelet that Jacob gave her and why it is okay for Jacob to give her a gift. Bella explains that Jacob made it. Edward asks Bella if he can give her a hand me down and she says yes. Edward explains that the hand me down was his Mother's. I thought that things in the movie were a little rushed. I think if the movie was more in the 2.5 hour range they could of spent more time in some scenes. That could just be me with all the anticipation waiting for the movie to come out however, I am going to go see it again just in case I missed something.

So far I loved Twilight and thought that as a 40 something year old that it was very romantic and well done. New Moon was not my favorite the first time around ~ thought it was quite cheesy however after seeing it 3 times it grew on me. Eclipse is the best one yet! I love all the romance and newborn action and I cannot wait to see it again and again!! Go see it and definitely read the books!! I couldn't put them down~

If anyone actually read the books, people would know that the cast potrayed they're characters right on the money. Nothing more was expected from their performance... Yeah the producers, screenplay writers and etc. might have skipped some really important scenes from the book but hey, think how long the movie would've been... Over all the movie was freaking amazing and I'd go watch it again.

Overall I felt the movie was fantastic. I was a little disappointed that they left out some of the better parts of the book but thought that did a good job interpretting it into film. Jacob was PHENOMENAL! Taylor Lautner nailed it. Bella was slightly annoying because Kristen Stewart, at times, came off emotionless and downright rude to Edward and that's not the way I would interpret her character in this book at all. As for Edward, very good, solid performance by Robert Pattinson as usual. Great chemistry overall and FANTASTIC action sequences! Jasper and the others were great too! it was good to see/hear their stories. This one was way better than New Moon!

Best one yet! Graphics are great. Cute little comments that the book readers notice making it a more personal experience but also funny for the few that didn't read the books. I will see it many more times.

aside from the little teenage girls screaming everytime edward or jacob appeared the movie was pretty good. definitely better than the previous 2. it had good action and definitely humor. one of the funniest parts i think was when jacob told edward "im hotter than you" definitely should see this movie

No filmic adaptation of a literary work will ever really 'get' the book exactly, simply because movies and books are different media. It is not a movie's job to cram every little detail from the book into the movie. Rather its job is to bring the literary experience to vivid, larger-than-life reality, to take you into the situation through aural and visual stimuli. Sometimes, especially in the case of Eclipse, it's better not to have read the book, or to have taken a break from it to 'cleanse the palate' so to speak, so you can appreciate the film on its own terms, rather than holding it up to the microscope of literary scrutiny.
I've read the entire series - now including the new Bree Tanner book - but I purposefully did not read the book immediately before watching the movie so I could let the movie entertain me on its own terms. And it did not disappoint. The movies seem to be finding their footing directorially and this one is, I believe, the strongest directorial effort in the series. All the major points that the movie needed to hit were not only hit but developed and smoothly integrated into the narrative. The movie actually integrates little bits from Stephanie Meyer's Bree Tanner novella which help to flesh out the characters in the vampire army better. The interplay between the major characters is heightened as Jacob makes a desperate play for Bella's affections while Edward must balance his love for Bella and desire to protect her with his jealous hatred and innate animosity toward Jacob.
The historical flashbacks were tastefully handled, never belaboring the points but providing enough detail for non-readers of the series to get what they need to know. The violence in the movie is mostly hinted at, which makes this pretty safe for younger viewers. This is one of the best adaptations of Stephanie Meyer's work that I've seen and I would heartily recommend it to anyone. Only, let it stand on its own before you compare it to the books.

After Twilight and New Moon, I was prepared for a lot of deviation from the book. However, this movie was amazingly similiar to the book which made it a much better movie. I feel that all the characters were true to the book also. I was wondering about the tent scene and how that would play out but it was very well played. I could not be happier with this movie with the limited amount of time they had to cram in 629 pages of material/story line. Well worth the wait and the money!!!!

ok not even a hurricane could stop me from missing eclipse..... it was good i think it showed everything but it went tooo fast it was like it was a race to get everything in it was good and the one-liners from the book were great but i think it needed more .... but that would mean a longer movie.... so for all the restrictions summit had to follow it was awesome ......

OMG...This was the best out of the three. I would recommend this to a non-believer. If you have never read any of the books, it keeps you guessing. Loved it! I used to be a team edward fan, however this movie had me changing sides. Recommend this movie to ANYONE.

Eclipse is definitely worth seeing! Having read the books multiple times, it was frustrating to see parts were left out and some of the events shown out of sequence. However, the movie overall was amazing. There is a whole new feel to Eclipse than from the previous films. I saw it at midnight which was fun, and I can't wait to see it again!

I was pleasantly surprised by Eclipse. I love the Twilight books but have been extremely disappointed in the first two movies - they in no way lived up to the books. I was not even planning to see this one in the theaters until a friend made me promise to go with her.
But I though Eclipse was pretty good and IMHO the best of the series thus far. I'm not saying it was great or one of my favorite movies but it was good. And I would recommend watching it.

This was the best one of the series so far! They followed the story line wonderfully! The actors, the director, and the special effects-cgi all did a great job!
