I have read all of the books 10 plus times so naturally I am a big fan of the Saga. I have seen each of the movies at opening night and loved each one but I think Eclips is the best by far. It was very close to the story line which is what each fan is looking for. The actors did great. They did great before don't get me wrong but this was great it was real. For the Jacob fans out their he looked better than ever. For the Edward fans he is still as cold as before but longing for Bella's hand in marrage. In the end of each of the movies I can say I wanted to see Jacob more and wanted Bella to love Jake and forget Edward. I was disapointed with the new Victoria. The fans don't want any of the actors changed! Mrs. Howard did an okay of a job but all of her outfits and hair and make-up were centered around making sure that she looked like the old Victoria. I was also disapointed with the engagement ring. It was gold in the book. I was looking for some better diamond ring. But apart from my two negative comments the movie was GREAT! It did so much better than the last two and I cannot wait for the next two Breaking Dawn to come out! Thank you Stephenie for having such a wonderful dream and a wonderful books that the whole world can love! :)

I found this movie extremely awful compared to the other two. The script was terrible, the engagement scene was so cheesy I had to hold back a laugh. There was no chemistry between Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. It just seemed like they held back. Now there was chemistry with Stewart and Taylor Lautner. Lautner was by far the better actor of the 3. I really see him having a big career. The movie jumped around way too fast as they seemed to cram 2 1/2 - 3 hours worth of movie into 2. I'm guessing that's why they have Bella narrate but the book is in 3rd person which makes it weird. If you haven't read the book yet, don't see it until you do because it'll be confusing. They did follow the book real closely which was good, but that was basically all that was good about it.

I've never read the books and never saw the two prequels, so I went to this movie wondering if the hype was worth it. For me, no. "Eclipse" was nothing more than a mildly entertaining romp into the paranormal. Perhaps it's because I don't know (or care) about the back story, but I found Bella to be a confused adolescent torn between two bad choices. Some parts of the film dragged; others were simply laughable. If you are not familiar with the trilogy, read the books then decide for yourself if the screenplay can even compare. This movie is definitely directed to its target audience.

Great adaptation of Meyer's 3rd book. They just keep getting better, can't wait for the next ones. The performances were the best so far. I plan to see it a few more times.

I thought that Eclipse was the best so far and enjoyed watching the romantic triangle unfold. One reason that the books/movies are so popular with older women is that they bring back the feelings of experiencing your first love. The score was perfect for the movie and I enjoyed the special effects. While Bryce Dallas Howard is a good actress, I did not feel that she was right for the part. It did not seem that she showed enough of the passion that comes along with revenge and did not appear as dangerous as the original Victoria. I missed the original Victoria's little sneer that she did when she talked. My husband and 14 year old son also enjoyed the movie and all of us can't wait until the next one.

If you're into a lot of teenage angst, you'll love the movie. If this is your first Twilight movie, you'll be lost. See the other 2 first, then watch Eclipse. You find out how some of the vampires came to be through flashbacks, which is cool. But, I didn't see one fang!

As a spoof writer, I must say that Twilight continues to give me good material to work from. I will say this in its favor - the movies seem to be getting better with each one, and the wolves were very well done. It proved educational as well - I never knew that vampires were made of ice crystals. It made it quite humorous when Victoria's head was broken off and there were ice crystals that looked like giant rock candy protruding from her neck. (Doesn't this contradict what they say about newborn vampires, that they still have all their human blood running through their veins? There were no veins or anything of the sort showing when the vampires' limbs were flying off left and right.) Another thing I learned - if your father tries to give you a sex talk, it is a great idea to run off to your boyfriend and try to convince him to have sex. Naturally, your boyfriend will say no to protect your honor. (I thought they tried to make the scene too 'steamy' for the movie, which young kids are watching.) Of course, I did laugh when Edward told Bella to stop trying to take off her clothes. I have never had anyone say that to me. ;)
Another review said that there were still talking scenes that could have been shorter. I got a little antsy when they were too drawn out.
What bothers me the most, I think, is that every myth, every legend is totally thrown out the window for the sake of a teenage love story.
Keep this in mind - I have read the books and CAN appreciate them for what they are. I just think the obsession has gotten ridiculous, which is what leads me to poke fun. I would love to direct you to our spoof movie that is coming out soon, but I don't know if it is allowed. All I will say is that it may or may not be on the popular watch-people's-silly-videos website, and it may or may not be called Skylight... ;) It is also extremely obvious that we are not professionals. ;)

I have read all the Twilight books. Eclipse is my favorite! I am pleased that they kept the story line as close to the book as possible. I can't wait to see how Breaking Dawn is done. I do love this series! Great movie!

Bryce Dallas Howard did great as Victoria. They changed Esmee to brunette though? What? And hardly showed her at all. I don't think she even had a speaking line the entire movie. I've never really been a Kristen Stewart fan. I've liked Taylor Lautner since Sharkboy though.
I enjoyed it and will watch the next two movies but hope they aren't so bad with the missing things and confusing happenings like they could have gone into more detail explaining Leah and Sam. They didnt really hit on at all about her becoming a werewolf too. She got to be way more rounded in the books.

Eclipse was more interesting, more visually vibrant, had more action, and flowed better than New Moon. It still suffers from incredibly slow dialogue scenes that could have been cut in half without losing anything. For my taste it had too much kissing and petting, and I think it would be inappropriate for younger kids. The acting is superficial and stiff, and there were way too many pointless lingering close-ups of the stars, whom I think are neither very attractive nor very talented. I would not go to the trouble of renting it or seeing it again.

This movie was Phenomenal I enjoy evey scene! from start to finish. The romanic teen drama has drawn me even closer to await the next film "Breaking Dawn". I just wish in the next movie the directors will place the stories from the book in a better order.

Eclipse was slower to start then New Moon or Twilight, but it really picked up and had an excellent storyline. Compared to the book there was much missing, but the general idea was the same. The action scenes were fast moving and entertaining and the tension between Edward and Jacob was palpable. And Bella and Edward's are written the perfect relationship as always; sometimes that's nice to see.

I thought this installment of the saga was much more complete then the last. The story flowed at a good pace the character's revealed enough of themselves to evolve and give a solid understanding of decision they've made. I think the action was very well done for what is was. Its difficult to put a battle like that together and not have it appear cheesy. For someone like me that hasn't read the books its nice to have the personal stories of some of the background characters.

I have seen this movie twice now in the theaters, and the only complaint I had was that the fight scenes were shot at too close a range to really see what was going on. I wish they had shot them from a wider perpective. Other than that, I thought some of the one - liners were really funny, and as always, I'm a huge fan of Charlie, and he did not disappoint, either.

Definately the best of the three. The action scenes were great, I wish the battle scene was longer like in the book. It was good how we got more insight into rosalie & jasper. Still would like to know more about Alice & Emmett! Cant wait for breaking dawn, smart choice making 2 movies. Cant cut anything from that book!

I have to say, this series is all about staying true to the MAIN parts of the storyline, however anything else is game to be changed. I enjoyed the movie so much I saw it twice already! I love the series, and I'm glad to see people that understand how hard it is to make a book into a movie.
