This is a great movie - classic Gilliam. Incredibly inventive, with engaging characters, good acting, amazing visuals, and an excellent cast. A great antidote to those of you who are tired of formulaic hollywood, but still enjoy a fun adventurous and entertaining movie. No yawns, and Tom Waits for chrissakes!

It's an allegory surrounded by metaphors held together by cliche's with great scenery and some decent acting. The beauty of this film is that you discover the basics at the very end. I think that was done so that people wouldn't walk out right away. It has pieces of mythology, coupled with Shakespearean characters living in modern London, who are members of a metaphysical traveling side show that makes no money, has dark intentions and no point. Maybe that's it, there's no point to this sad film, the last of Heath Ledgers accomplishments. But it has nice scenery.

This is by far one of the best movies I have seen. The sets, costumes, and cinematography were all beautiful. The plot and premise are astoundingly imaginative. And, of course, the casting and acting are nearly flawless; particularly those parts played by Ledger, Waits, and Troyer. This is a film worthy of the highest praise and one that I will definitely be watching many times. In short, Imaginarium is pure genius.

While this movie was definitely entertaining, it was because we watched in bewilderment wondering what the hell was going on! Very interesting graphics, and I'm always fascinated by filmmakers' ideas about what heaven and hell look like. I like the way the director made seamless transitions between Heath Ledger and the actors who continued his role after his death.

If you are a Terry Gilliam fan, this won't disappoint. Entertaining, skillfully acted and directed; on the Gilliam trajectory, it fits perfectly. While certainly not highbrow, I quickly and thoroughly got into the atmosphere and mystery. A first rate job....
