I'm really not sure who the bad guy was in this movie, lawyer or citizen, and that's where this mind bender grabs the audience. After a 'shady' deal by the prosecuter gets the citizens' family killers someone less than real justice, the citizen strikes back in such a calmly cool and devastatingly calculated way that there will be surprises for the rest of the film that keep you on the edge of your seat. But who is really the bad guy? A must see for suspense and action with a twisted and winding plot that will have everyone asking this question, who is really the bad guy?

This is one of those movies where you find yourself cheering for the "bad" guy. Honestly, if I saw my wife and child sexually assaulted and/or murdered, and then watched the guilty party walk because of our flawed justice system, I can't say that I wouldn't do the same thing. Of course, my version probably wouldn't have been as sophisticated and awesome, but someone would've had to die nonetheless.
The movie was well-acted, and the plot takes a few nice twists and turns. I would definitely recommend this movie to friends.

F.Gary Gray has come a long way since directing the original "Friday". "The Negotiator" was great. But "Law Abiding Citizen" is probably his best work to date.
This film had a very compeling story with intense action. And Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler were powerful in their rolls which crossed the lines of hero and villian.
What a visually incredible movie to WATCH. The cinematography and shots were composed so artfully.
If a director is like a painter, this is F.Gary Gray's masterpiece!

Very different role for Gerry and one that I felt was well done. Both my husband and I enjoyed this movie a lot. I have to say that I normally do not jump at most movies but this one had me jumping in my seat several time. I thought it was very good and that Gerry and Jamie played off of each other well.

This movie was excellent! The opening scene was pretty intense, but it set the stage for the rest of the movie. I found myself wanting a seatbelt because there were so many action packed scenes! Foxx and Butler both did a great job of making characters seem "believable". Overall - great movie!

Okay, maybe I went to see Butler's fine-looking asset. But I was sucked into a thrilling (and gruesome) storyline. Have already recommended to friends. Do yourself a favor, though, and close your eyes the first 5 mintues. Too intense for a parent of young children.

The acting was good and although the plot a bit far fetched, it was an entertaining movie. Jamie Foxx does his usual good job and Gerard Butler was outstanding.
