This movie was great! I've seen it twice to date. Gerard Butler was amazing....seriously i was on the edge of my seat. He played this role with excellent precision. Jamie Foxx was believable in this serious role. I would tag this movie as a psychological thriller/action movie, because it keep you thinking and guessing. About the 150th time that Jamie Foxx said, "I did what I had to do," in reference to a legal decision he'd made to preserve his conviction percentage, my friend whispered to me, "Denial isn't just a river in Egypt." For a character that is supposed to be intelligent enough to get through law school and hold a job, he certainly can't apply logic honestly. While each assassination is filmed well, the foreshadowing is so thick, you couldn't cut it with Butler's boxcutters... Pick something good to see.

Darn if this one didn't fool me. I have not been to a movie in years where I didn't have the end figured out 5 minutes into the movie (and yes, that includes Sixth Sense).

I didnt want to see this but my buddy at work kept raving about it enough to convince me to fork out five bucks at the matinee. I was glad I did cause this is a really good action/drama flick, I think every lawyer whose taken a deal and let some piece of trash out into the world should be forced to watch this movie! Yeah, the end was a little weak, I was rooting for the bad guy to win, but still, if you like these kind of movies this ones a winner.

This movie is great and I recomended to every one. If you do not like it then there is something wrong with you. Original!!! Great performance!!! Went to see this by the reccomendation of a friend and im done listening to this person. A few good moments here and there but nothing new. Didnt care for the ending....walked out VERY unsatisfied. Jamie Foxx's performance in this film is very reminiscent of Denzel Washington's persona. I thought the film was great overall. The anticipation of trying to figure out how all of the killings were happening was kind of Eagle Eye'ish, but it was great suspense. The more I see Gerard Butler the more I want to see him. This role was good for Jamie, but enough of the serious stuff; I want to see him be funny again. You will be entertained. This is a great adult night out at the movies type film.

The movie was good, not great. While Butler did a great job as usual; Foxx, in my opinion, was not a good choice for his roll. I found him not believable, at all. Again a poor choice. There were huge leaps in bending reality in order to keep the story going, I do try to keep in mind it is not reality. It's not always easy but I try. The movie is graphic, moreso then I was expecting. I don't understand why they can't leave anything to the imagination anymore. I just figure too few of us have one left. The ending was weak, I feel they could have done a better job. Go see it, though.

I was very happy with how well executed this movie was. Not the most edge-of-your-seat, nail-biting film you'll ever see, but very believable. I'm not sure I saw enough raw emotion from Jamie Foxx's character however. The plot moves along well and with enough suspense to keep you guessing. So...overall I would say not too good, however; it was high action for the action junkie and Gerard Butler was certainly typecast so if that was what you were looking for, you got it. As usual Jamie Foxx delivers a solid performace and I wasn't too disappointed with the supporting cast either saving the mayor who got gouged on the lines she had to deliver.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Law Abiding Citizen was a action/suspense film dealing with a serious topic. Although unrealistic in alot of the scenes, it keeps you on the edge throughout the film weighing good versus evil.
