Great acting and cinematography. That being said, if you can recall "Videodrome", "Dreamscape", "Dark City", and bits of "The Matrix", you have the elements of this film. Movie, however, is too long without an intermission. Also, the theater where I viewed it had the audio volume WAY too loud. Other viewers and myself had to cover our ears frequently. For what this movie must have cost, it could have been better.

This was a fantastic story with great actors and magnificent special effects. The score by Hans Zimmer is amazing. I've seen it twice, and if someone asked me, I'd definitely go again. The second time I saw it, I walked out thinking something completely different than I thought the first time, which made for a fascinating experience. Truly a great movie experience, and I will be buying this on Blu-Ray.

I saw this movie yesterday with my two teenage sons and all three of us thought it was fantastic. There was enough action to keep the boys involved and all of us enjoyed trying to follow the intricate concept of the different levels of the dreams. The ending still leaves you guessing. I would not only recommend this movie to a friend, I would go see it again myself.

This movie is a reminder that we can still produce new movies with an excellent plot, perfect effects and lots of action. I give it A++. The movie is extremely complicated, but as you watch it, you realize how simple it is in reality. Is just a matter of paying good attention to it, and always try to catch every detaila s possible as they will be clues later on. For those that have done reviews here giving the movie only one star, I suggest you don’t keep going to watch movies like this as it is obvious your brain is not capable of understanding plots of this magnitude. The movie has almost no stopping action, combined with a very deep sentimental plot. And it makes you wonder about your own dreams, and how we can tell what is real and what is not. I got to point out that not only the special effects were extremely good (including lots of zero gravity sequences) , but the music is also incredible and made perfect for each sequence in the movie. Definitely will buy it on BluRay as soon it comes out.

This move you should definitely see in the Theater. Personally I went to see it because of special effects (awesome by the way) I though the plot would be either cheesy or lame. But to my surprise this was such an emotional thrill. The story itself was magnified by the effects. DiCaprio at his best created emotional ties to a main Character. With so many details in the movie it took a Genius to put everything together so it all make sense. One word to describe this movie POWERFUL. Amazing execution, outstanding performance by the Cast!! A+ Cant stop thinking about this movie over and over again... LOVED IT!

For a movie that was almost two and a half hours long, I felt it held my attention for the duration. If your looking for a demonstration of special effects technology this is the movie for you. The movie has an incomprehensible plot line made worse by the incomprehensible dialogue and flashing back and forth from one level of dream within a dream within a dream ............. to another. One of my favorite artists of the 20th century was Salvador Dali. He was the greatest surreal painter who ever lived, referring to his bedside dream notebook for inspiration for his paintings. I loved the surreal quality of this film because the bizarre dreams looked and seemed so real but contradicted the viewers perception of reality. Easy to get lost inside this film, which makes it well worth seeing.

Whoever wrote the script to this movie is a genius. Whoever edited this movie is a genius. To have 3 levels of dreams going at the same time and keep the pace and the focus of the movie intact is genius. For 2 hours and 30 minutes I was enrapt with the plot, plot twists, and special FX. This is the best movie of the year so far.
