This movie is anything but boring. The first 30 minutes is all about exposition but after that it gets really good and only gets better. It keeps you on the edge of your seat and asking questions to yourself the whole time. You wade through it much like a dream confused at times but in the end most of it makes sense.
The ending is good - but leaves you with more questions is all I can say. Sequel anyone?
I didn't think I would like it as much as I did but it really was a great experience.

WOW! This movie was great! Full of action, suspense and some well-done acting. I would definitely recommend it. I got the full effect by showing up late and sitting relatively close to the screen. My eyes didn't know where to focus. Good Job Nolan!

It was a little slow to start, but once it got going the action just kept coming. The plot had more twists and turns than any well thought out maze. If you like twisting plots where you can get lost , you will love this action packed adventure. Warning not a movie for anyone who doesn't like sci-fi (God forbid) or gets easily confused in twisty plots.

I enjoyed the movie but the idea of confusing, if not conflating, dream states with conscious reality has, of course, been done. Its novelty was using dreams to "implant" ideas -- ergo "inception". The "ambiguous" ending is gratuitous and merely reflects today's cynism about "happy endings", at least by cynical screen writers. Likewise, the underlying plot: A cynical view of corporations. In this case "anti-monopolism", that the target character's company was "too big". The idea that the company he inherits would monopolize world energy seems a bit too fantastic but it provides an "acceptable" form of anti-capitalism. Of course, the moviemakers themselves will make a fortune thanks to capitalism. Typical Hollywood.... I'd like to see a movie that doesn't preach against capitalism for a change. Sick of the rich Leftists telling the rest of us about money.

Weak story. I think the "shared dream" concept was first done 20+ years ago with Nightmare on Elm Street. The added complexity doesn't make it original or better.
Good special effects. Leo did the best with the script he had.

My brother recommended that we go see this. So glad we took the advice. It keeps you riveted to your seat the whole time, and makes you think just to keep up with all the plot twists and turns. And the end ... a little bit of a surprise but great. Well worth it, but you will be exhausted when you walk out of the theater!

I was not looking forward to sitting for 2 1/2 hours but it was the husband's pick. Since I do enjoy L. DiCaprio, I figured it couldn't be all that bad. The 2 1/2 hours flew by and I was glued to the screen. The move was beautifully done, though provoking, and the acting was Oscar worthy by all. Now I understand why my sons said it was a "Must see" movie. Probabaly one of the best movies I have seen in a few years and I see a lot!

DiCaprios performance is great but the movie plot jumps around too much and gets to the point of ridiculous. Did not make much sense and must have been written by an unbalanced mind! Extremely well written. The weakest link for me was Ellen Page, not for her acting but for her character. Just needed a little more development, the rest of the cast I see being developed further in the prequel. This movie was amazing to my wife and I. Not only did it have a great general plot, but there was such a depth to it that kept you on the edge of your seat. Nothing predictable about it. I highly recommend this movie to anyone that enjoys complex deep plots. This was an amazing conceptual and thrilling film. I would have to say that I have not seen a new emergence of action since The Matrix, but they go out of their way to make it new and distinctly different. I was impressed by the depth of the writing and that is why I choose the word film over movie as you have to pay attention to the film and not just be entertained. Plenty of action and plot to be had. I can only hope they make a sequel with the others attempting to find DiCaprio's character in the subconscious. GREATEST MOVIE OF THE DECADE!!!

A blockbuster movie...don't be fooled by the slow, complex, tedious even confusing beginning...it all falls together soon and you are on a ride for your life. I have never seen a movie like this ! Interestingly enough, there were no sex scenes, no nudity, no foul language and no extreme violence...it shows great movies can still be made in Hollywood without all that.. a must see..DiCaprio is intense

Just go see it, you won't regret it. Noland's story is perfectly executed in every way. It's hard to say more about the complex cinematography without giving the movie away to much. Very well done!!
