Christopher Nolan creates a complex and unique world that demands more from the average movie goer. For a two and a half hour film, this is one of the fastest stories I have ever sat through. Expository information is thrown at the viewer with no time to absorb the information. The only emotional release for the whole experience is at the end of the film when the credits roll. With that being said, the viewer is fully engaged in an action packed emotional ride with brilliantly written, directed, and acted characters. Whether you follow the story completely or walk away with a thousand questions, you understand what the characters want and you want it too. This movie is more than a story, it is a refreshing experience with complex ideas that today's average block buster severely lacks. If you don't get it the first time, just see it again.

Don't look away. Pay attention. And prepare to see it twice. The narrative is very fast-paced, presenting you with information and then immediately moving forward. There is logic to it that you are able to suspend disbelief for pretty easily. It is the most original movie I have seen in years.

This movie takes on you on a mind bending roller coaster ride through plot twists and turns. You cannot keep your eye off this movie in fear of missing one minute detail. When it finally ends you are left scratching your head, figuring out what the heck just happened. It makes you think and double take just like the characters in the movie. GO SEE IT!!!!

Nolan proves once and for all that he is a master of his craft. Inception is an elegant mix of beautiful visuals and rich, complex story. Take Memento, The Matrix, James Bond, 2001, Shutter Island, and The Dark Knight, put them all together and make it 5 times better. Inception is an intense, dark, fun ride that. Definitely a must-see.

I don't think there are words to describe just how well done and thought provoking this movie really is. This is going to be one of those multiple viewing films, just so you can catch all the perplexities of the film. And on top of all the mind blowing effects and depths of dreams and all that incredible stuff, there is a true story about humanity and our true reality. That is why this film, more than anything else, is going to go down as a masterpiece of our time.

...Not that "Total Recall" even comes close or anything, but if you remember leaving the theater after Arnold throroughly scrambled your confidence in disinguishing dreams from reality, you'll love taking that ride all over again. And "Inception" delivers the mind-bending goods in spades. It's a tense, compelling story that manages to deliver summer blockbuster-scale action while exploring a much more nuanced conept: the promise and peril of messing around with other people's subconscious mind.
That said, I'm not going to gush uncontrolably like a lot of the reviews I've heard so far (and it's only been ten hours since I caught the midnight screening). The dialogue for at least the first half of the film is rushed, ham-handed, and overly expository, as Nolan spends most of his time explaining the mechanics of dream invasion through the interactions of his characters. But I guess that's to be expected. If the writing was any less patronizing, the premise would fly right over the average moviegoer's head.

Great Great movie. Amazing visuals, scenery and directing. Leo is once again at his best in this movie which is sure to have created a whole new psycho-mind heist thriller. It's 2-and-a-half hours long but leaves you yearning for me. Fantastic. Glorious. Epic.

This movie pulls you in like no other movie I've seen. The complexity of the concept and storyline shows Christopher Nolan's pure genius as a filmmaker. He has the potential to be the greatest modern day storyteller of our time. I wanted to watch the movie again right after leaving the theater and this was at 3 am. A stellar performance from Leo and the great supporting cast really grab you and pull you in. Definitely the best movie of the year and I hope movie goers will notice.

I go see most Leonardo DiCaprio movies in the theater - he's my favorite actor, he selects very good movies and is the best actor of his time no arguement! This movie was so much more than just seeing him act in a good movie! Christopher Nolan is a genius! He put Matrix, Avatar, and any other movies of that genre to SHAME! I hate to talk up movies because I know sometimes a person ends up disapppointed, but this movie is insanely amazing! Finally a movie worth seeing in the theaters and shouting on the rooftops about! A movie you can actually get excited about, I feel like it has been awhile for one these! Go see it in the theaters or you will regret it! A tip to anyone reading this, while watching it, don't think about whats going on, just let the movie take your mind for ride! Also, very well casted, put Joseph Gordon-Levitt on the map for me, yeah the Angels in the outfield kid - great job! ENJOY!

Nolan and cast tell an intricately woven plot using dream imagery we're all familiar with: running, flying, falling, drowning, love, loss, fulfillment, paranoia. This makes the protagonist's adventure our adventure, and a very clever device it is too. Film stock is ruthlessly edited, moving a dense story forward in heartbeats, and the last half of the film is played in three worlds, at three speeds, in perfect unison - a real wonder to behold. The visuals are, of course, stunning, leaving even the most experienced SFX viewer wondering 'how did they do that?'. The soundtrack is every bit as memorable, a character in itself, and in many places a tip of the hat to Barry's most sweeping work. It's an unparalleled thrill-ride, the summer tentpole you've been waiting for, and testament that when the studios stay out of the way and give a gifted filmmaker unfettered rein, magic is still at the movies. Watch it once. Learn the twist. Then watch it again in the knowledge that the real hero of the plot, the one desperately trying to save their loved one, was never the one you thought first time through. Second viewings take on added tragedy with this nugget, making this not only a dream within a dream, but a new movie hidden within the movie. I have seen the next Oscar, and his name is Nolan.

Your are hooked from the very beginning with the story/idea that Christopher Nolan has presented in this film. As you get deeper into the film the deeper the story/idea penetrates your mind. You begin to think "Is this possible.... ....am I dreaming" Then your lost in the reality that Christopher Nolan has created. Can you escape this maze? Well you have to check out it out for yourself and see if you make it out. That is "Inception"

Don't believe the (critic) hype that this is a confusing storyline full of twists and turns. It's a complex plot that's very simply laid before the viewer. As long as you watch it for what it is (not a mindless action movie) you will not be confused or behind the plot. GO SEE IT!

This will go down in my personal diary as one of the greatest movie experiences of my life, equalled only by BLADE RUNNER, AVATAR, and the LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy. What an astounding piece of work this film is, from start to mind-bending finish. This is the type of science fiction that, to begin with, is utterly unique in scope and has never been presented on film before--I can truly recall NEVER having seen anything like it. It is not for casual viewing, by a long shot; this film demands your undivided attention in order to follow the complex but brilliant story, and it deserves it in spades. (If you're one of those bonehead movie-goers who sits and texts and/or blabs to your friends during movies, you will most likely walk out at the end scratching your head & feeling "ripped off." And that will be on YOU.)
Seriously: NEVER have I seen such a brilliant, intricately-woven & spellbinding film as this. As one reviewer already stated, I shouldn't tell you much more than what I've already said for fear of spoiling the experience for you. This is not only one movie I will want to see again (and for God's sake, spend the extra $$ & see it in IMAX--the audio/visual experience is jaw-dropping), but one I will also snatch up on Blu-Ray as soon as it's available...it will be a treasured addition to my collection. If Christopher Nolan ever decides to get out of the movie business, he has a great future as a science-fiction novelist...this, for me, is right up there with the best works of authors like Harlan Ellison or Philip K. Dick.
For those who truly appreciate science fiction that is both intellectually-stimulating while simultaneously accessible and not pretentious in its execution, this is THE film to see this summer. I can't praise it highly enough. I will leave you with one non-spoiler teaser--the hotel fight sequences will knock your socks off! So: prepare yourself for a movie experience you can't possibly prepare yourself for.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

"What is the most resilient parasite?" And Idea. That's one of the first words utter in Christopher Nolan's think tank thriller. The movie magician is at it again, combining unparalleled action sequences and a story told in the most complex way, keeps you wondering what's coming next in this mind-bending phenomenon.
With out giving anything away I can tell you that this film pushes the boundaries of not just the physical capabilities of us to understand a masterpiece of film, but it opens up new levels of the imagination and tests your ability to define a reality.
The film uses the premise of the story and uses it against the viewer, similar to playing tricks on the eye and in this instance the mind is the eye and the eye of the mind is the creativity, which in turn is the story. See the complex confusion? Exactly what you are supposed to be thinking the whole movie. From overanalyzing characters and dialogue, the film immerses you into a a giant fish bowl of ideas, thoughts and in this you create a world of your choosing.
I want to tell you about the film in more detail, but that would spoiling all the fun and then you wouldn't have to see it. But for those that like to know a little about the film I'll provide you with a very brief synopsis. But before I do, what I can tell you is how ever complex it may seem, to get the answer lies in the most simplest form.
So Imagine the world where someone could steal your thoughts while you sleep, enter your subconscious and take any and all information...
How will you dream tonight?

Smart, innovative, and thrilling, Inception is that rare summer blockbuster that succeeds viscerally as well as intellectually. The less you know going in, the better you will appreciate the unfolding, doubling-back, and overall mind-bending stories within stories in one of the year's best films. No matter how high your personal expectations for "Inception" may be, the film not only meets but wildly exceeds them. If your only going to see one movie this summer, make it this one because it will blow your mind!
