I was spellbound. Keeps your mind engaged throughout the whole movie. Filled with action and great special effects. No nudity, profanity or bloody violence. While there was violence it was not graphic or gorey; very tolerable. Loved the opening. It jumps right in and makes you figure out what is going on. Right up there with A Beautiful Mind. A MUST SEE!

All of the actors were first rate. Ditto for the script, effects, sound track, etc. This was my second viewing, and I loved it. The first time you have to scramble to keep up with the puzzles within puzzles. It is a richly layered movie that I could watch again and again.

I agreed to see this movie with my husband, tinking I would "put up" with it. I did enjoy it, but there was quite a bit of uneeded violence (read gratuitous) -more dead bodiesfrom gun shots than I can think of from any movie in a long time. Story was good otherwise, but one definitely has to THINK and Keep Up, or you can lose what the purpose is of the current scene. "gravity free" sequences were AMAZING! and I agree with the other poster-- CGI scenes are great too! Ellen Page is very good and of course, Leo as usual. the actor who stole scenes was Tom Hardy. watch for him to do a lot more parts in the US. Overall -I would say since the CGI and graphics are so good, see it is big format at the theatre (at least the first time), as you may want to see it again to understand the story... (smile)

Definitely needs to be seen on the big screen because effects are one of the few assets. Pretty good acting too (I've come to expect that from Leonardo). The premise is laughable and the plot has holes you could drive a truck through. It is very convoluted at times (even paying close attention, I was getting lost). Nevertheless, it was entertaining. Don't look for this one on Oscar night, although it might get a nomination for the special effects or score.

I had been told by everyone I know who saw it before I did that it was worth a trip to the theater, rather than waiting for video. The graphics really were great, and no ridiculously unreal CGI; it looked like it could've happened. I also enjoyed the story, which required some thought but not enough that it was distracting from the action. Definitely recommend it.

Reading up on, and following all of the hype surrounding thiis movie, I took the plunge yesterday and endured through 2+ hours of Inception. Dream sequences where real time is distorted has been a movie concept since, oh before I was born. This movie attemtped to update the essence of these movies, but dragged at times explaining the central character's moral delima. It could have moved faster, and could have included a better development of the dream sequences which would have enhanced the overall movie experience. Overall, it was okay, not as great as others have reviewed. Wait for DVD or On Demand.

Inception was an amazing experience the first time around (saw it in IMAX). It was even better the second time around, despite the fact we saw it in non IMAX version, as the details, the plot, the sub-plots, etc. were clearer. It is simply one of the best movies of all time. A must see! Those who are looking for a "brain-dead" movie, don't bother going as this movie requires you to stay glued to the screen. This is a fast paced, action packed movie that keeps you guessing - and out of your seat - the entire duration... An amazing movie experience.

This was as busy of a movie as I think I have ever seen. The levels of complexity, the fast action, the suspension of reality all make for a whirlwind of a ride. This film is one of the most stunningly brilliant, complex, and intense I have seen, ever. I'm not even sure what to compare it to. A lot of my friends chalk it up to a Matrix rip-off, but that is doing it such an injustice. I would put it more in line with The Usual Suspects, but without the final reveal scene where everything becomes clear. This is a movie with so much complexity that you almost need to see it twice to even begin to understand what is going on. Where most films these days are fast food, this is fine dining for your brain. It's impossible to go into it without revealing too much, but the initial question at the end of the film is: "What was real, and what was imagined." However, the even better, and far more intriguing, question is: "Who was the Inception being performed on?" You can argue over the details of gunfights and performances (I highly enjoyed the performances of the ensemble cast), but the complexity, depth, and subtlety of the story are in a class of their own. The intensity of some of the scenes, and of the movie as a whole, is amazing. You can enjoy this film strictly on the basic action/love story level, or you can dig deeper and get so much more. If you want a movie that will make you think, I could not recommend Inception more. If you're looking for something mindless and banal, look elsewhere.

Good example of "the emperors clothes". All those 3 plus stars, really? Good concept, but developed so badly. Reason for upsetting the corporate world, very weak! Not allowed to get to know characters in movie except Leo's, somewhat. Why is he being chased by assassins in the non dream world? So in love with his wife, then why did he do what he did to her? So many bullets and only one injury, really? Too much going on with out reason or purpose. Too convoluted to enjoy. I could go on and on, just plain BAD!

It is a great movie to escape from reality. My wife and I felt it is a good one to see in the theatre, away from the distractions of kids and housework. It requires thinking almost all the way through, unlike a lot of other movies that are fine to wait and watch at home where you can walk away, come back, and still know what is going on. Good movie that leaves you thinking.

I love a movie that is a total escape from the everyday and what better way than to peek inside a literal dream world. Of course if I had dreams with that kind of action I would wake up totally exhausted ;) Loved the cast!
