Great movie. It took eight years to write and it shows. My only regret about seeing it so soon is that now I have to wait longer for the DVD to come out. Great direction, writing and acting. Everything was right on point.

Finally, Hollywood has put a film out worth going to the theatre to see for people of intelligence. In other words, if you can't read a map, you will not appreciate the mental depth of this film....you will only be able to comprehend the visual aspect of it. And if you think the entire movie is going to be all special mind-blowing effects, you are going to be disappointed....you saw most of them in the trailers. But those special effects are not the point of the film, they are meant to show you the realm of possibilities in which these characters operate but must still follow certain rules. Absolutely brilliant film! The quickest 2.5 hours in a movie seat. A must see 2 times and then buy it on blu-ray in a year. "Inception" does exactly what the title suggests......puts the idea in your head that it is the best film of the year......and completely delivers!

A well done movie with a complex plot line and a real movie star in the lead.
Not overly violent, overly sappy, or one sided male or female humor (as most movies of late have been). Just a well done engaging film with a fresh concept.
The story consistency can be questioned, but I think the plot threads were left loose enough that there are plausible answers.
All in all, the best movie I've seen in a while.

I don't often talk up movies.... I have worked for a rental video place part time since I was 16 so while I love movies, there are very few these days that I feel the need to advertise. Many end up making money they don't deserve anyways. Which is why I am telling people to see this movie. Although, this movie comes up with a very different and unique concept, it is a bit hard to digest it at first. You would be like, with a white face, trying to understand what exactly is happening and what are the movie makers trying to put across.
But eventually with the increasing level of complexity , the movie shapes up, makes it interesting and all together a different perspective to watch it.

Chris Nolan has a gift for putting his audience in the movie and making them experience just as much as the heavily burdened main characters (played beautifully by a 5-star cast). The comedy, the action, the indulgent visuals, the drama...the 2.5 hours rush by as if you're in (you guessed it) a dream. What makes this movie 4-star is the ending. It is one thing to leave your viewers wondering what happens next. It is quite another to leave them wondering if anything is happening at all. It does nothing to satisfy that psychological thirst that is put in our minds by the film, and that is a disappointment for an otherwise perfect piece of art. The rest of the film is so good that in fact, I would gladly pay to ride that roller coaster again.
