This was a good, though not great movie. The movie started abruptly without good transitions between sequences. The plot was okay but the action and special effects were terrific. You would have to watch this movie several times just to pick up on all the things flying by you. I was especially impressed with the crumbling city in limbo and the weightless scenes. Although expected, I still got a kick out of the ending.

I think the title of this movie explains it. Its an idea "What if?" Its not a movie for everyone though. The action is great, the actors were great. I would see it again. If you like movies that just get to the point and have a definite ending this is not for you. I was gripping my popcorn so hard my hand was sore but it survived!!

...in that they kept you busy/engaged keeping track of what's going on in different "levels" of sleep. The idea is similar to matrix and the actions are extertaining; differ in that they have a team working together -- I like the blend of plots from different movies that I don't mind being able to sense that way. The music was pretty loud at some point and I don't feel it matching the intensity of the moments. All in all, a cool movie. And oh yeah, the end was interesting and a bit confusing, I didn't try to make full sense of what's going on at that point, just take it for what it is.

plot is so convoluted, complex, and confusing that it's hard to really care about most of the action. my wife wanted to walk out after 20 min. my mother thought it was one of the worst movies she's ever seen and was angry to have 2 1/2 hours of her time taken. I thought the idea interesting, dicaprio excellent, love joey gordon-levitt but felt like the director let the movie get away from him and it didn't really work. to have to wait til the last 10 minutes to figure out what was going on was tooooooo loooong to wait.

I must admit that I did not have a good nights sleep prior to going to the movies as a result of my wife's desire. I had rather go to bed. Nevertheless, we are both fans of DeCaprio and usually base our selections based upon who are our "stars" heroes of previous movies.
For this movie, one must be completely rested and VERY interested in the movie. For me, I was tired yet there was a lot of action in the movie. My wife loves movies that do not not necesssarily have a lot of action but she declared this movie was action packed.......yet she said she would not pay to see it again; it caused to BRAIN POWER to follow the script although she was able to interpret the move for the scenes where I fell asleep. Personally, I was already tired and I could have enjoyed a good comedy; but my wife was fully functional and awake and found it difficult to follow at times. My wife looks for the "hidden substance" in a movie or book so she told me the plot and outcome. Yet she also said it was too difficult for most to follow: Remember, I said my wife does not look at the surface but rather the underlying inspiration of a movie or book. Basically, my wife told me she viewed the subject matter to all "come out at the wash" at the end and everyone in the world is not condemed to everlasting torment. You can google "Carlton Pearson" and his statement of "Inclusion" to understand why my wife made the comments to me about this movie. If you are concerned about your soul then I suggest you investigate the doctrine of "Inclusion".

Inception is a perfection in a storyline that creates an unpredictable fiction world for many, but for some a world they can relate to. Bringing the human psyche to its knees, this action packed twisting and turning movie was probably the greatest adventure movies to ever be made in the dream category. There are many reasons why having good hearing and understanding certain plots are needed, and the men and women who do not understand certain situations in movies well will not like nor understand what is going on in certain parts. unfortunately the storyline isn't easy to grasp but for many it is a perfect movie for the speculators to enjoy.

This movie was cool.....Its been getting RAVE reviews and while it is worth seeing its nothing to jump up and down about. Sometimes some of the things they talk about or do become hard to follow. FANTASTIC acting I will tell you that much. Enjoyed everyones performance and at no point does any of it feel unnatural or forced. Left the theater feeling ...OK...wasnt blown away but was entertained..which is about all you can expect these days.

Another mindbending, outstanding effort from Christioher Nolan. Director of Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Prestige and most importantly, Memento.
Mr. Nolan likes playing with timelines. He quickly dives in and directs small chunks of time, manipulating each into a cohesive whole.
This is advanced movie-watching. He pleads with you to keep up, to remember small foreshadowed details from the {past} and to connect the dots yourself. This film is not a passive experience.
If you do keep up, your movie experience rises up the scale toward extremely gratifying. If you don't, you are left scraching your head and wondering why you just dropped $9.50.
Otherwise: acting is good with everyone onscreen moving the story forward (I use "forward" very lightly here.)
Music takes your breath away with its spot on ambiance setting low tones. It's reminiscent of the Batrman movies - just a few octaves lower.
So put on your t-caps and watch the film with an open mind. I came away examining my dreams and memories and dusting off my little digital camera convinced that I better begin documenting my life a lot better.

Not bad. Story has some uniqueness in an a time when unique is rare in movies. The time went by very quickly (did not seem to take 2.5hrs) so it does keep you interested. The ending is a little predictable if you are familiar with this type of genra. Overall, it was a good movie worth going to.

Weak intro, weak ending, weak main character. The story was a copy of The Matrix. The much hyped music was marginal. I did like the acting of some of the secondary characters, like Arthur and Saito. The sound effects were really good. Other than that, I am probably one of the few who just didn't appreciate this movie.

OK, first of all Leonardo DiCaprio you Rock! …One of the best actors de jour. I was very involved at following this movie. I love a good riddle. Somewhere in level 3, I started to squirm in my seat ... the fight scenes were too repetitious! Same stuff different clothes..C'mon fast forward LOL... I wanted to get up and leave the theater I started to get bored! I am glad I stayed as it picked up towards the end and left you to think about the entire movie. So as a whole I thought it was a good movie but they could have done some editing… seriously. I’m ok with it, yet I wouldn’t go back and see it twice like I heard some folks are doing. I’ll wait for the video. Go and see it . I am interested in hearing what other people think.

My wife and I really enjoyed this movie. The plot constantly moves and if you don't pay attention early on, you'll be trying to think back later about the earlier action, combing it for clues. Totally different from any other movie we've seen.

The concept was creative, the cinematography was fast moving and exciting, but I didn't particularly come to care for any of the characters. If they don't mean something to me, the movie falls short of expectations. Therefore, I'd say it was fun but forgettable.

If you like to play masterful video games, you will enjoy the technical brilliance through out the duration of the movie. The story line however was difficult to follow. Movie was based on dreams within dreams and how one could enter someone elses dreams. For me I enjoy watching something that is coherent from the beginning to the end. If you are interested in watching this movie, I would wait for it to come out on cable or rent the movie.
