I would recommend waiting for the DVD on this movie. The film was funny for the most part and more than a couple of belly laughs but even for a farce comedy of Willis/Morgan talents this was really stretching the intelligence level of the audience. It was too unrealistic and implausible. Again the comedy outweighed the rididulous story and the Beverly HIlls Cop rip off of the rival detectives ineptness. But overall it was somewhat disappointing and left you with a "huh?" in the end. DVD-yes! Overpriced movie theater experience-no!

The movies was funny for the most part but not as funny as I expected it to be. Tracy Morga was funny in most parts and I think the combination of him and Bruce Willis, (knowing that I would never expect to see these two act side by side) in the same movies is what I was curious to see or at least figured, "this has got to be funny if they paired these two actors up". I would give it 3 stars. Good flick to see with the guys, on DvD, not anywhere close to being as good as BadBoys 1 or 2 but funny none the less.

Some funny scenes, but all in all, like most other Bruce Willis movies. Lots of chase scenes, shoot-em-up, bad/dumb cop vs good/smart cop. Lots of unnecessary foul language. The movie is reminiscent of the great cop movies of the 80's and 90's like Beverly Hills Cop, Lethal Weapon, and Fletch. Even has Harold Faltermeyer doing the music! The story was so-so but the jokes were laugh out loud funny. Bruce and Tracy had great chemistry and could make a good team to create a sequel around. Only critique is some of the lulls with no laughs and the ending could have been more creative.

If you like movies that don't take themselves seriously and just want to entertain, this is a good one. Plenty of laughs, especially if you like Tracy Morgan. There is a line about The Warriors that had me on the floor. It has been a long time since I fell asleep in a movie. This movie was so slow and boring I couldn't keep my eyes open. I can count on 1 hand the number of times I laughed and I knew those times were coming from the commercials.
I like Bruce Willis however, he seemed to be forcing himself to do this movie, and he did not seem very into it. Tracey Morgan gets very old very quick, I can only handle his 1 dimensional way of comedy for so long.

I really like Kevin Smith so anything he does, I want to give it a chance. This movie was entertaining and made us care about the characters at the same time. It was a couple hours of fun and that is exactly what we expected. I never read critics' opinions before I see a movie, they ruin it for me and I often disagree.

I was not that into the story line as it went too many directions. There was a few chuckles but for a comedy I would expect more.

Nice movie. You can feel the Kevin Smith in this movie. The only bad thing I can say is that the dialogue did not seem believable to me in some parts, particularly the first parts. It did get better and funnier as it went along.

I enjoyed Kevin Smith's foray into the mainstream buddy cop fomula. Some of the cliches he displayed, like the 80's Beveraly HIlls Cop Esq music, slipped in like an inside joke. Overall this movie was laugh after laugh. With WIllis playing the straight man and Morgan being goofy as ever. Cannot wait until COP OUT part two. The movie got applause when it ended. Very funny, Kevin Smith!!
