The photography was amazing - Hubble is really a star. The small clips not is 3D were ok. But when they showed the work on Hubble you felt you were there in space working with them.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Quite dissapointing - I though this movie will show several pictures from deep space but it does not. Movie showed only saturn picture and cluster M42 in Orion. Movie is focused only for mission to fix hubble problems in Earth orbit and all of this problems. Movie is 45min long and from thise time is 36-37 minutes about Hubble repair. IMAX resolution showes immpersive quality and sound of 2 times space shuttle lunch in Florida Kennedy SC and fiew nice view on earth from orbit. Otherwise movie showed computerized sequence into deep universe on other galaxies beyond our milky way (2 min). Overall this movie was not what I expected from NASA. IF you want to see how hubble was repaired and prepared for repair under water in million gallons of water pool, then that movie is for you! Do not expect to see anything impressive from deep universe as this movie do not focus on it. Hubble does not make 3D images either. I expect IMAX will finaly release 2D hubble version from 100 thousands images hubble already taken after repair and fully functioning.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I agree with all the reviewers before me...it must be a mandatory watch for all the school kids. My 7 year old was reluctant to go, but was in awe by the time the movie ended. I'm so glad it is a IMAX 3-D. Makes you think or rather re-think about the conflicts in our 'world'- if everyone realized how vast the universe is and how minusclue we are and at the same time how majestic and wonderful our planet is ! I have a renewed sense of appreciation for all the work done by NASA and we definitely need to take better care of our mother earth.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

We were expecting a film on the repair of the Hubble in space. Imagine our delight to see the Hubble's absolutely fantastic images and feel like we were space travelers in a way we could have never imagined. It was a spiritual journey and deeply moving.
Additionally, having never been lucky enough to witness a lauch, it was almost like being there. Finally, the skill and bravery of our astronauts is incredible.
If you haven't seen it yet, run (don't walk) to your theater.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Incredible! I loved the way the film gave the history and made it personal by involving us in the preparation of the astronauts. Traveling through space was much more than I could have ever imagined.

What an experience. The wonder of our universe and the amazing achievement of man both come to life in this film. My 6 and 9 year olds were reaching for the stars as they passed by on our way to the Pillars of Creation. Quite a trip. I only wish it could have lasted all day. So many more wonders that Hubbel has found exist to explore. Please... make Hubble 2. Thanks for a great movie!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

IMAX Hubble 3D is only 45 minutes long, but I'd see it again, and sit through it if were 5 times longer. . It made me cry. . It was amazing to watch, but it was also incredibly, INCREDIBLY heartbreaking. . I was always aware of the vastness of space, but this documentary really made me comprehend it more concretely. All of the galaxies and planets... it was just awesome. The Hubble showed images that were 10 BILLION light years away! Can you imagine?? .
Watching the astronauts prepare for their trip, watching them repair the Hubble-- every step of the way I was engaged and interested. . I have told every friend I have to go see it and posted it on Twitter and FB. . The space program, to me, is right up there as a priority for tax funding and pursuit. I think the space program is the MOST purely optimistic and hopeful endeavor we have. The possibilities are literally endless. . It disgusts me that it's been gutted. That the shuttle program is gone as of next year's last launch. That we're just going to leave Hubble to die. . Unless we pay the Russians to go fix it or something... and give them any technology we may have created or discovered. . Because of space travel we have things like cordless tools, smoke detectors, scratch resistant glasses, ear thermometers, improved pacemakers, comfy shoe insoles, satellite radio, invisible braces, memory foam pillows, long distance phone calls using satellites, water filters, pens that write upside down, thermal boots, joysticks, CAT scans, shock absorbing helmets, ski boots, fire fighter suits and gear... . And so much more. . Just imagine all the things we may never know about without NASA funding. . Maybe something like this will wake people up. Get the juices of imagination and exploration flowing again. . I think this should be required viewing!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
