2 Adults 2 Children 3D $50.00. Inspiring story, unprecedented visual effects, exciting, captivating and entertaining. Worth every cent but I wish Hollywood could learn that the word G__Damn is offensive to millions of people and uncalled for in a movie that is about tolerance and respecting and accepting others, their beliefs and culture. Otherwise it would definitely have been the best movie to come along in many years.

Yes, the plot is thin and derrivitive, but this movie creates a whole new vocabulary in the visual experience you have at the movies. Characters as imaginative as Star Wars, in a world never before seen but fully realized. Don't go for the plot, go for the experience. The animation is so real you start wondering how they did the stunts. Go. Go Go. See it on the biggest screen you can find. Pay the extra money, it's worth 10 mediocre movies.

I went with 6 other people tonight... It was my mom's first time, my dad's second, my hubby's second, my children's second and my third.... This movie is awesome and one of the few I want to see over and over. I see new things each time and fall in love with the characters and story over and over again. Its got something for everyone too -- romance, action, sci-fi -- fabulous science, fabulous creatures... Its a great movie.

Movie is great! Love the huge IMAX screen. Hate the 3D. With todays high definition digital technology, 3D is just unnecessary! The glasses were unsanitary and uncomfortable. The effects didn't make the movie "better" for me. I would rather watch it without the glasses.

Purely decadent escapism indulgement! It's so rewarding when a scifi is done WELL. Storyline is engrossing, but the view is what clinches the deal. Now if we could only get this new 3D technology open-captioned compatible for the Deaf (and truly visually oriented) folks to enjoy!!

LOVED IT. We wathched the movie last night and my dreams were all Avatar. I would not normally see a movie with aliens but everyone I know that saw it said I would LOVE it.....and I did. Go see it. You'll be happy you did. This is the best movie I ever saw. What an imagination. AMAZING.

Absolutely brilliant. The 3D and Imax effect blew me away. The story is as old as time (still relevant)...therefore was not bothersome at all. Every other detail from start to finish was exciting to watch. I ran home to tell my kids and friends it is a "must see" event!!

I thought this movie was extremely good. I enjoyed the movie as well as the special effects. I go to movies without expectations. Opinions differ on this one but I throughly enjoyed it. The only downside was that I saw it on the IMAX theater and it was way too loud. My ears were ringing for quite awhile after the show.

The scene is fantastic, but the story sucks. There are many bugs in this movie. Many Na"vi people died in that battle, but in the end there are till so many Na"vi people, because the director wants them to win. Without those animals, they could not have won. The fightback strategy is too simple. They just got lucky. That guy can be a "hero" or ruin the whole Na"vi race.

For me this was one of those movies that comes along seldom, that reminds you just what an amazing experience going to the movies can be. I would group it with the first "Star Wars" in 1977, and the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Mr. Cameron does not disappoint. He really knows how to combine action along with the story, and mix in amazing and groundbreaking visuals.

I loved the movie in Imax 3D. Would I LOVE it in 2D? Probably. I thought the story line was great, but I don't know how much I believe Giiovanni Ribisi as a corporate scoundrel. The story was slightly "Fern Gully", but went so much deeper than that. 5 stars, and I'd highly recommend!

I thought the special effects brought fantasy movie making to a new level. Also, I don't see the story as derivative, as much as a classic hero's journey. Of course, it's always the same - from pain and loneliness to new insight and compassion. I think the movie industry is trying to re-condition audiences to feel in their bones that it is wrong to invade the space of others, and pretend like you know what's best for them. Think "District 9". I thought the whole film (Avatar) was gorgeous. Loved the dragon-flying. You can never have too much dragon-flying, especially in 3D.

The 3D factor made it more attention getting but it was just an ok movie. This type of 'technology' is no longer that exciting to me. You can watch it in most video games now and the story line was average. Lots of hype.

OMG this has got to be the best movie ever! Okay maybe not the best movie ever but it was awesome. I am not normally for computer generated crap where it is overly done but wow, this was really good. Kind of believable in a fairy tale kind of way, we don't know what is out there. It was my very first IMAX movie and damn, from now on I will be going to see these kinds of movies in IMAX for sure. The 3D was not my thing but didn't really take away from the movie.

Despite its excessive recapitulation of "Ironman", the film also bows to the original "Alien", with hi-tech sleeping pods, aliens threatening the mission, and Sigourney Weaver in white undies.
