This is without a doubt one of the best movie experiences I've had in a long, long time!
This story flowed from start to finish!...Great characters, great dialogue, great directing, great cinematography, and superb editing. The 3-D experience heightened the sense of experiencing vs watching the story and is well worth it!
I will be seeing this movie again!!...and soon!

Great movie all around. The imagination used to create Avatar is incredible. Very vivid scenes that make you feel like you are actually there in all the action. Highly recommend 3D at the IMAX. Would not suggest small children due to some content.

YOU HAVE to see this movie in the theaters and preferably 3D or IMAX 3D (new or traditional.) You have too. Why? Because this is a historic moment in movie making history. The artwork, filmography, CGI … breathtaking. It helps that the story, while not overly complex, was good but even if it was bad… you will be enthralled with the world you are enveloped in.

The movie was awesome. It is pretty long, 3 hours but it's well worth watching the movie. Loved the navi characters. The language they speak is more like the Red Indians language.I had to wait in a line for an hour to just get into the theatre and then the movie was itself 3 hours made me tired. GO WATCH IT!

This is the first time I go to an IMAX 3D show. It was unbielievable. The movie AVATAR was awesome with a lot of action and a lessson to be learned: GREED makes people murderers. The invaders called the AVATARS savages, when the reality is that the American troops were the savages. Great 3D and Digital effects.

I could go back again and again to watch it in 3D IMAX. The stunning visualization and background music reminded me of Cirque Du Soleil setups. Its stunning pictures and heart-pounding audio will take your breath-away.

If I had a dollar for every time I watched a movie about a guy having to choose between his boss/general/country and people he had grown to love (while originally set to spy on), I'd be rich... Oh and of course there is a girl who feels like her trust is violated... But she comes back to the main hero anyway... Yawn
The effects were spectacular but sitting for almost 3 hours in 3-D glasses (oh my poor head) to watch a story which u know the next 10 steps of... Boring

This movie is absolutely mesmerizing. The story, although at times predictible, it still manages to deliver the awe and emotion as if it were the first time I ever seen a movie with this plot. The Avatars are Na'vi are totally believable, and the 3D and special effects are absoltely astonishing. James Cameron is a visionary, and his vision was spectacular. This is by far the best movie I have seen this DECADE, and that includes my beloved Dark Knight and LoTR trilogy. I hope there are sequels.

AH-MAY-Zing. The visuals of this movie are simply stunning. Story is good but really you never want to take your eyes off the screen. The theater was sold out but was silent - no whispers, not popcorn munching or soda slurping EVERYONE and I mean everyone had their eyes glued to the screen.

I have been looking forward to this movie since 1998 when I first heard about this production. The 3D and creative effects were outstanding. The story line is very good with great detail in many areas that one may overlook like the language of the natives (created for the movie). It is hard to pick all the great things about this movie ..the fact they chose to make it in Imax 3d
was incredible.....the cinema tography was out standing the actors were perfect the story was great ........It left me wondering how in the heck did they make this movie so real ..it was over two hours long but it never dragged on it kept me on the edge of my chair the whole movie
It is definitely academy award quality..good job
and thanks you to AMC theaters for putting
together a great sound system and great Imax
visuals....It was worth every penny I paid to go see it over all experience A+

I have no words to describe this movie or I must say the out of the world experience I lived through in 2.40 minutes. When I came out of the theater it was like I returned from a adventurous visit to the beautiful Pandora !!
Hats off to James Cameron for creating this masterpiece! Every frame, every single detail shows the hard work that has gone into it. The story is very touching ( I almost shed a tear or two for Navi's) and the graphics are nothing less than outstanding !! 3D effects are awesome !!

The visuals were fantastic! The plot was ordinary. It seems the Pandorans plot was based more on the American Indians history only updated more to the future. The 3d experience put the icing on the cake for me!. I can see this winninng an academy for VISUALS and all of that department.

My kids and I went with high hopes and we were not disappointed. You need to get there early and get a good seat because you don't want to miss anything. James Cameron is a true visual artist with an imagination so detailed that everything from the background to the smallest creature is so increadible and breathtaking! He has outdone himself. We enjoyed the whole film and 2 1/2 hrs goes by almost too quickly. This is a must see experience!!!

Avatar is a captivating foray into a different world with exquisite flora and fauna. The computer generated characters are entirely believable and the interface is seamless. The graphics are spectacular. the story line is somewhat predictable, but holds the interest throughout the movie. I saw this movie in 3D IMAX and almost became a resident of Pandora. Avatar is worth more than the price of the ticket for 3D and IMAX even though the glasses are very uncomfortable. The acting is not bad either. All in all a beautiful, fascinating trip to another world.
