I was really not expecting this to be a good movie, Boy was I supprised I love this movie and 3-D and IMAX just added a little bonus to the already great movie, This is a must see I loved it. And will go watch it again.

Visual effects were incredible. The story was predictable, but a certainly an accurate statement about the human condition (greed) and approach to 'foreign' policy (think Iraq). I did not think I would be entertained but found the movie, while a little long, kept me interested. I would recommend it, especially in the IMAX, 3 D format.

Excellent movie. A must see. Although I did get really nauseous with the 3D. I had to look away and take the glasses off every 15 minutes and rest for 5 minutes and not look at the screen. I would like to see it again in a regular theatre.

Once again James Cameron is on the cutting edge of movie technology. He was there with Titanic and he is there now with Avatar. This movie is a game changer. It will be the standard for years to come for judging a movie's effects.
While the storyline has been done before (think Dances with Wolves), the special effects, virtual characters, and sheer beauty of Pandora make you forget that. The love story is told with tenderness and passion, a nice counterpoint to the spectacular scenes of destruction. (I highly recommend IMAX 3-D for the maximum experience).

One of the best movies that I've seen in a long time. The time flew right by - story line was great. My first IMAX 3D experience and I was blown away -- wish I would have known how amazing it was earlier and I would have seen it as soon as it was released. I would highly recommend this movie.

Graphically spectactular! The scenery throughout the film alone would have kept me watching...but add a sweet storyline, and awesome special effects and you have one special movie...this was worth the wait. James Cameron spent many years preparing this film and his attention to every detail and special effect was clear! I would recommend this beautiful film to anyone...including kids maybe over age 7. There was some death and violence, and that can be disturbing to younger audiences.

James Cameron has set a new standard for visual storytelling. The CG work is unbelievably emotive, thanks in part to rich performances from Sam Worthington and an enchanting Zoe Saldana. The Real 3D version is good, but IMAX 3D is definitely a crisper, deeper experience.
I can't think of any reason to NOT see this film several times!

I definitely didn't know what to expect when I went in. All the hype was a bit off-putting. The movie justified the hype and then some. Go in without any expectations and you are in for a treat. Visually and technically this is a benchmark for things to come. Kudos to Cameron for having the vision and actually going through and making this movie.

Awesome! Outstanding! One of a kind! Very spiritual! Ecological thinking comparable to American Indians. We could all take a lesson from this. The three hours seemed like 25 minutes. I have seen it twice now and will be seeing it a third time this coming weekend. Our friends and family have seen it 6-7 times. Can't wait for sequel.

I was mesmerized by all the detail in the makeup, landscape, action. Seeing it in 3-D was an experience I will remember always. It's hard to believe that the human race could be so cruel, but I know there are people out there that are really that narrow-minded. It really opens up your mind. I hope it helps make us more aware of what we are doing to our world and put a stop to our greediness.

The graphics and visual effects were amazing. The 3D made me a little dizzy and cross eyed in the first few minutes, but then I got used to it.
The movie is very long, but it keeps you engaged the entire time so you barely feel it. While the plotline was fairly predictable, it was still very enjoyable.
The movie is a commentary on society. I saw parallels between the film and many civilizations throughout history. From the Native Americans through today. People might view the savage humans as an exaggeration, but this is rather accurate to the way native populations have been treated throughout history and there were still many humans who objected.
This is a great film.

I really enjoyed every minute of this movie. James Cameron did an excellent job with the details and the scenery was absolutely amazing! This is the first 3D movie that I've seen that I didn't stagger out of the theater "car sick" or with a crazy headache ~ it actually worked and was remarkable. I was dismayed at the use of language in this film. This is a great kid drawing flick and the language was not necessary. Loved it as an adult!!!

I'd recommend this film based on the amazing look and feel of the movie. You are immersed into this fantastic world created by James Cameron, especially if you see it in an IMAX 3D theater.
As far as the story, I didn't care for it at all. It was extremely predictable. I was hoping for much more considering the wonderful Sci-Fi movies Cameron has done in the past, Terminator 1&2 and Aliens.
So go see it at a matinee so you don't spend too much $$$, I saw it for $7.50 at an IMAX 3D theater on New Years Day in Dallas TX.

this movie is amazing...perfect for all ages, except 1 scene in the entire movie which lasted 5 seconds...so parents who needs to cover the eyes of their children...u will know when too and how long. now i know why it took years to make...the cgi and story are both really good. hats off to James Cameron. i would recommend that everyone watch the IMAX 3D version...or the the 3D version...and should hold off on the original version unless if u cant handle the 3D glasses...it will be a real waste of money and the technology that they put into this film for those who watch the original. if both version are sold out...then i recommend you to watch something else and wait the next turn to watch it.
