I felt totally immersed in the reality of the movie. The 3D experience combined with the cinematic perfection left me feeling like it was a real life experience. It stirred my emotions like the events really happened and I was part of it. It imprinted memories I will never forget. I love the the plot, the romance involved and the end was excellent. It is as close to a perfect experience I have ever gotten at a theater.

An excellent movie, the I-Max experience was fantastic. A combination of Matrix and Star Wars with a little Titanic thrown in for good meassure. The story line at times was a little over the top, but it was a "movie" and as such Cameron gets "literary" license to stretch the story line.

The IMAX 3D technology is not as good as the Real D 3D technology. IMAX 3D makes action scenes blurry, while Real D 3D doesn't. Real D also allows you to focus in on items in the foreground, as if you were there, while IMAX 3D makes you focus on the part that they want you to look at.

I went in with high hopes for this movie and for the most part, those were met. The plot wasn't all that complex. It was Dances with Wolves in Space. What was the best part of this movie was the attention to detail and how well thought out the special effects were. This wasn't a movie where they took a simple plot and threw in some cool graphics...this was much deeper. The human technology was well thought out and looked realistic and believeable while the alien world was completely original and unique. It was a movie experience like no other. You'll really be missing out if you don't see it in IMAX 3D.

I haven't gone to see a movie in the theater for a LONG time. But...after hearing people talk about it, I just had to go. I really liked the special effects of this movie. They were awesome. It was worth the price just to see them. The creatures and plants were definitely unexpected. I can't believe James Cameron came up with some of the designs for them! The plot, however, was predictable for an action flick. I knew what would happen after the first 30 minutes. Nevertheless, I don't think I've ever seen another movie quite like this one.

This was the second time we had gone to the Hoffman 22 in Alexandria VA to see this film in IMAX 3D because we loved it so much the first time! As someone who has loved sci-fi my entire life, this movie made me feel like when I saw "Star Wars" for the first time. The feeling of actually being on an alien world is something I'll remember for a long time. However, this second time there was something wrong with the projector system so that the entire audience saw an out-of-focus movie, especially in scenes with a lot of movement. I will pursue this issue with the theater.

I actually saw this movie for he second time on Saturday, Jan 10th. I saw it in the regular theater 2 weeks ago and saw it again yesterday in the IMAX 3D. I was a little bummed initially about paying 9 dollars for a matinee movie, but as soon as the movie (or even the previews) started, my misgivings were alleviated! The AMC IMAX 3D experience adds so much to the movie going experience, I will be seeing movies in this format as often as possible from now on! It was well worth the additional 4 dollars and I would do it again in a second. My friends who saw the movie with me also REALLY enjoyed the movie experience. Thanks for this new option in movie-going AMC!!

This movie was very good it is a sci-fi but it is done in such a way that people who do not like sci-fi will enjoy it I would not waist my money on the 3-D version I would just go and see it on regular I-max those glasses suck so bad I can see the rims the entire time I look through them. That was irritating to me and the movie really does not have that many wow that looked like it hit my events. Make sure you don't miss this one on any kind of big screen the scope is awesome.

Try not to sit in the front rows at an I MAX theater. I was forced to and besides getting a crick in my neck, it was a little difficult to follow what was going on in the whole screen.

This is easily the most spectacular movie I have ever seen. It was a cinema experience without equal. I had read and heard some negative reviews with respect to the plot, saying it was predictable and nothing new. I totally disagree. It was a plot that worked very well. Let's face it, there are few totally original plots when it comes to a love story or a conflict of enemies. Was it a complex plot? No. Was it a thoroughly well planned and straight forward plot that let you excape into a totally new world? YES! I have seen this movie twice, and it did not lose me for a second either time. It was Amazing, Jaw Dropping, Beautiful, Boundary Breaking, and overall a technological cinematic historical film.

The initial "wow" factor subsides somewhat after the plot becomes increasingly predictable.
The combat scenes are likely to appeal more to male viewers; they go on far too long, as does the movie itself -- two hours, 45 minutes.
Still it's certainly worth seeing for the special effects.

I went to see the new technology and beautiful nature scenes. From this standpoint, the movie was breathtaking and I was not disappointed.
I had no interest in the plot, having gone only for the visual effects. I thought it was absurd from a political standpoint. I wish the nature scenes could be extracted so my young grandchildren could have this 3D experience. As it is, the movie is so violent that it would terrify very young children.
