Each one are good in there own way, but none seemed to embrace Dicken's dark to light ending. This version does. From the edge of you seat ghosts that have a tendency to get a jump out of the audience, to wet cheeks shown at the story of tiny Tim. Add in the Imax 3D Experience and this movie is a MUST in the "A Christmas Carol" series of movies. A rear find in the days of netflix and on-demand Video, this is a THEATER must see.

An excellent 3-D Imax movie experience! The 3-D effect was just amazing. Some high speed flying scenes were so realistic and engrossing, I almost felt motion sick... This is by far the very best IMAX 3D movie I have ever seen. I had to keep reminding myself that these were not real people on the screen. I truly felt like I was inside homes, flying and a real part of the movie.

I highly recommend this movie. The 3-D effect was well worth the price!!!
The only recommendation I would offer is...bring your disfectant wipes. I personally wear glasses, and they do provided 3d glasses that did go over them. The glasses are bit heavy on the nose...and considering it is flu season...it wouldn't hurt to bring something to disinfect.
The sound quality, picture quality, and 3-D effects was awesome.
Please arrive the theater approx. 30 minutes early to get great seats.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Some scenes are a little scary for kids 5 and below but they can get through it unscaved :-) Excellent movie though, that manages to keep your attention the entire time. Special effects are great and the entire picture is almost life-like, especially in 3D.

Disney just continues to amaze us with this incredible movie. You forget that the characters are "cartoon like" ~ the detail is amazing! It was like watching the book come to life right before your eyes. The 3D effect made the snow flakes almost feel real on your face. I don't think this movie is for little ones...there are a few pretty scary and intense scenes that sent me back into my chair. I would highly recommend this movie...worth every dollar!!

Amazing effects used to tell a wonderfully classic story. The sound and 3D made it a spectacular experience. Would HIGHLY recommend that the PG rating be watched closely. Younger children will be frightened--the effects make the scary parts extremely intense. Our 12 year old girls enjoyed it because they knew the story --the scary parts were very scary to them. Overall an amazing movie experience.

The new take on the movie was cute. To see it in IMAX 3D made it quite thrilling. My 9yr old was a little afraid of the ghosts in 3D but it was not very scary. I loved it and would definitely recommend it to others!

I have always said that if I were stuck on a desert island and could choose only one book, it would be Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. I've seen every conceivable movie version. That being said, I believe Jim Carrey's portrayal (I wouldn't know it was Carrey if his name wasn't listed) of Scrooge was masterful, particularly in the "redemption" scenes at the end, notably when he begs the social worker's pardon at the end and promises a huge donation. The problem with the movie is that gratuitous special effects subjugate the plot in areas, and things like Scrooge's past failed relationship with the beautiful Belle are given short shrift. See this if you're a Christmas Carol junkie, but other versions are superior.

The movie was excellent, and especially enhanced by IMAX viewing. Our 11yo was thrilled, although it might be a bit frightening for a toddler. Jim Carrey is outstanding, and the animation is the best I've seen. I especially appreciate that it stood by the original.

Wish we would have known that this movie was too dark for 6 & 7 year olds. Not recommended...go see Astroboy.

Ok, so the movie plot and storline is already a "given,"so it was really all about the special effects and Carrey's interpretation. Both were excellent. Sometimes IMAX goes over-board with the volume but otherwise, a fine movie for the holidays.
