Glad I watched IMAX version; picture was amazingly clear.
The fight scenes were awesome but a lot of it was blurry. Blurry meaning I couldn't tell who was getting hit and whatnot.
Also, I thought the fight between Optimus Prime and The Fallen was disappointing. It wasn't even really a fight, it was so quick.
Overall, I'd say the movie was phenomenal, partly because of IMAX.

Let's be honest, people who don't 't like this movie are either self-righteous about defending their childhood memories or simply too old. Remember how much we loved Transformers as kids?
If you watch those episodes now, they don't make much sense. The plots only made sense to an 8-year-old mind. That's why I shake my head and laugh at people that cry bloody murder over Michael Bay's movies.
You know what? SACK UP!
Quit complaining.
The plot isn't about to win Oscars, but, it's better than what most "elite" critics are saying. They didn't grow up with Transformers. Their age shows in their complaints about the robot action and explosions.
What were they expecting, "Driving Miss Daisy?"

I liked the special effects...they were great! (I saw it at the IMAX). The story line could had more to it...like expanding more on the characters (Including the autobots)...overall it was good...in comparison with the first one, i prefer the first one over this one...

The movie in it self was great.. what you come to expect... however the plot and time sequence was abit off... got a little sloppy on that editing... what we loved from the first movie an the "thrill" we got from looking at the bots transform for the first time was in this one as well but time to reinvent... they tried with the sand eating bot.. but that went overboard and was a bit to much.... Other than that... it was pretty great!! good action... pretty good acting as well...

The plot of the movie was very intense. The visual effects were great. I loved the first movie. It was wonderful and great for the whole family. But I thought the profanity took that away from this movie. The Transformers were portrayed as the ultimate good guys, but the profanity on their part took away from their wholesomeness.
Also I felt like the movie climaxed and ended very quickly. The whole movie was built up to reviving Optimus Prime so that he could destroy The Fallen. I was anticipating their fight scene the whole movie. When it was finally time for it...It was over in like 2 minutes. Then the movie ended.
I was a little disappointed, but over all I enjoyed the movie and would recommend it to a friend.

Pretty good movie with a nice array of special effects. I did like the first one better though. I felt that the FALLEN plot left a little to be desired. And at times the CG was a little much and seemed hard to follow. I would definetely recommend going to see this though.

Transformers was awesome! the plot was okay, could have been a bit better but it still was great! and NO the musemum was NOT in the middle of the desert apparently you were not paying attention. This is Not a childs movie.. This is why its rated PG 13.. ON THE imax screen the graphics and affects were out of this world! I would recommend it to anyone over 13!

I had high hopes and although I was a little disappointed, it was still pretty entertaining. I think it was 30-45 minutes too long for the type of pace it had. Also, they focused on goofy robots too much rather than the cool ones. I know it's costly to develop characters that are CGI, but the cartoons were more about the robots with the humans being along for the ride. The movies are more focused on the humans and that isn't why the fans loved the cartoon. But it is cool to see these toys come to life and kick some butt!

Awesome eye candy! Fun to watch, lots of humor and a little more "grown-up" than the first movie. Saw it in IMAX - worth the extra $$
It is waaaay too long, but still leaves plot holes. The language is a bit strong considering how much kids love Transformers. The Autobot Twins were unnecessary and annoying.
Overall, you should definitely go experience this in the theatre. The effects (visual and sound) are incredible.

Movie was good for a summer escape. Loud and big, what you'd expect. Plot was decent, acting was good. Turturro and roommate were funny. Twins..could have done without them. Old man SR71 pretty silly. Unaware that the Smithsonian was surrounded by a desert (roll eyes) My frustration, like the first one, bothered by the cursing and innuendo. Compeletely unneccessary. Robots have worse mouths than the humans. My 8 year old loves transformers, but can't see either movie because of this. Yet they market the movie to him through toys and happy meals. Makes him sad not to see them. Believe me, you want to leave your kids at home. Could have been better without the cursing and dogs and robots doing each other and Megan's leg.

Michael Bay did it again even bigger, badder, and bolder! Thank you sir, you did an outstanding job. Even my girlfriend got a kick out of it of this movie! Everyone on this film did a supurb job. Very intense action sequences, humor & even made some cry & jump out their seats. Parts even pulling on your heart strings. Suspense until the end. Sams college gal with the wicked tongue. That was wild. And she was hot, holy cow!!! And did I forget the robots? More than you could count. Especially Devistator, that was one gigantic robot! More robots & action that just makes this film! Kudos to the CGI animators & everyone on this film! I am seeing this again! To those with negative reviews, do not stain this wicked masterpiece from Mr. Bay!

The action doubled from the first one. There is way more fighting in the movie watching it in imax and the wonderful sound you recieve makes you feel like your in heaven. Optimus Prime finally gets his justice and Micheal Bay finally lets the audiance see how much of a bada** that he really is. The mechanical action is very much inproved. Some racial stereotypes that could have been left out. So basically if you want a great action movie with an ok plot line. But as a summer blockbuster its gonna have the same critics finding something wrong with it. I give it two big thumbs up.

The sequel was just as good, if not better than the first. I love how humor is incorporated into an otherwise action flick. I even shed a few tears when Bumblebee cried, and when Optimus died! I don't understand what people are saying about there being no plot/not a good plot.. clearly there was one and clearly it was awesome! Best movie of the summer by far.

This movie addressed what fans wanted more from the first movie... more robot battles and it did not disappoint at all. A great job by Michael Bay and company and I can't wait to the next one.

Lots of action but a very predictable plot. Special effects were excellent but at times it was difficult to tell who the good guys were because the battles were so confusing. It was a bit too long due to extended final battle. The sound track could use work. This is one of those movies that takes awhile to figure out where everything and everyone fits in the plot. For this reason, I'd see it again maybe on DVD, probably not in a theatre. We saw it in IMAX - well worth the extra ticket price.

As everybody say this movie is a good blockbuster action packed movie and is good to enjoy as it is. The plot and the story makes it bad, but if you want to see the movie for it's mindless fun and robots transforming into cars and hot chicks, see it!!

there was one thing that I wanted to see more of in the first movie, robots. now this movie has just that!! I loved that it was all action. there are of course a few things that might not be appropriate for younger children, and indeed this movie promotes children toys. but as a whole, as in any sequel, everyone has their own expectations. so don't have any expectations about the story. just be surprised and awed by the graphics and action. you do have to pay attention or you will miss the story.

I have to say, this movie surprised me with its humor involved. Of coarse the action was amazing, and the plot was very solid, so overall this movie kicked assets!

This movie was so cool. Amazing visuals. The whole time I kept thinking, how do they do this?? My only negatives were the language (doesn't seem necessary) and the belly shirts. But the music and the effects were really amazing.
