The movie was great! People I spoke to complained about the length of the movie but I was sorry it ended when it did. I love how it integrated characters from the original Transformers while making it new and exciting( ex. apparent constructicons merging). It's funny how Wheelie was incorporated into the movie as a Decepticon-turned-Autobot. The action never ceased and, even though I had to go to the bathroom an hour into the movie, I couldn't leave my seat! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Blur and the Dinobots to make an appearance in the next movie.

I give it C-. My descriptors are Corny, Vulgar, and Chaotic. CORNY for the inane "love" element between Shia and his girl (totally non-believable); VULGAR for the blatant and almost NON-stop inuendos (did we need to see dogs humping so much) and CHAOTIC for the OVERUSE of these amazing special effects to the point of being just plain mind-numbing. This is NOT a movie for children. It is scary and just plain nasty at points. There is NOTHING redeeming about this movie; even the 'family' portrayed is a travesty of what a family should be; Shia's 'parents' are portrayed as shallow, dumb idiots. Negative, subversive, and morally damaging messages ALL The way through.

A "guy movie" from beginning to end! It topped the original by a long shot! The new cast of Autobots and Decepticons blew me away. The transformation of the Constructicons into Devastator was one of the most awesome things I've ever seen, even though he just got taken out by a railgun two seconds after he started walking. Overall a great movie that is sure to make every guy that watches it clinch his fists and say "YEAH! THAT WAS AWESOME!", at least twenty times during the movie, while his girlfriend/wife laughs at him for being a big dork.

You get lots of all 3 in this epic summer blockbuster. Everything about Transformers 2 is over the top and thats what makes it fun. This movie is ALL about the CGI and explosions... oh yeah and MEGAN FOX.
If it were not for these things the movie would be horrible. The dialog is god awful. The story is pathetic. The acting horrendous. Michael Bay is only good at hot chicks and explosions and over the top stuff. Writers need a lot of help. The movie seems like it was written by at 14 year old. People shouldnt talk in this movie. I really don't know what the so-called critics are complaining about. Transformers 2 is a blockbuster movie that has a compelling story and lovable characters.
Sure there are the ebonics speaking robots which were offensive for a person of color like myself. But everything else fits together so well.
The IMAX experience of this film was my second viewing. And I got a kick out of the movie once again!
John Turturro was hilarious! And Shia and Megan made a perfect on-screen couple. Michael Bay really did a great job directing the cast and bringing the robotics and special effects all together.
Big ups to Steven Speilberg and DreamWorks for making it all happen! I'm looking forward to part 3!

I really liked this movie. Yes it was a bit too long and I could have done without the chick transformer, but I also laughed really hard. It was entertaining, exciting, and you cared about the characters. How Michael Bay is able to make the Transformers and people look so real together is beyond me. Fantastic special effects. No, it is not going to win an Oscar but it is worth the price of an Imax movie ticket. Really fun!

A lot of critics are saying it is lacking. However, Michael Bay doesn't make movies to please the critics, he makes movies to please the fans and he does a great job in Revenge of the Fallen. It was longer then the first with more humor which was great! Looking forward to the 3rd

Big improvement over the first. Frank Welker returns as Soundwave. Ravage is in it, hip blasters and all. More emphasis on the robots themselves (thank God). However, there's a high amount of Black male buffoonery in these films. You had Anthony Anderson or Bernie Mac (RIP) as comic relief.. I could handle that. But the gold toothed, illiterate, ghetto-bots that played the autobot twins in this film were just too much. I was offended, and disappointed.

For all you people out there who gave it a one star, i would tell you to watch the movie again and actually pay attention instead of doing whatever it was you were doing. This movie is great. Although its not quite as good as the original i would definitley reccomend it to ANYONE i see on the streets. There is an amazingly deep storyline and plot, you just have to PAY ATTENTION to get it. It also helps if youve kept up with the old transformers, the cartoon, because the storyline is almost if not exatctly the same as the one in the movie. Action scenes were amazing. Yes there were quite a bit more fight scenes in this than the first one. But that is because they ARE trying to appeal to the younger aged audiences.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

The movie i think was amazing its what the audience was looking for and expected. Although i agree that the story was weaker, i think it was just more deep which made it hard to understand . I was also surprised that the decepticons did not win i thought it was suppose to be their rise in power and they ended up getting wooped anyway. But all that aside the movie was just as eye catching as the first and way more action packed. It was overall good and i liked that they kept the story in line with the original series (for the most part)

Great Action Packed movie! IMAX Theater was nice except for the few times it looked like giant moths were stuck on the screen for short periods of time. The back story enlightened me and was a great tribute to the original cartoon. It seems that we will have another sequel by the way it ended. My only knocks on the movie were.... the twins with their goofy attitudes and gold teeth, they didn't need to show the underside of (not to give too much away) the robot that unites and lastly some of the language was used unnecessarily I thought the scene would have still been funny without it.
