My husband, 21 year old daughter, 6 year old stepson and I saw Ice Age 3 in "2-D" on July 4th. We weren't too sure how the 6 year old would react to a 3-D movie.
A lot of the lines were more adult oriented, that totally went over his head, but the movie was so entertaining that he really never stopped to ask why we were laughing. It was action packed to entertain him, AND us!! NOTHING after the credits BTW!
All in all, I would even recommend this movie to my mother, who hasn't had the chance to see the first or second Ice Age movies.

If your kids like the previous Ice Age movies, they'll get a kick out of this one, too. It reunites the same main characters - Ellie, Manny, Diego, Sid, Crash and Eddie - in a quest that brings them face to face with dinosaurs (who apparently live below the Ice Age world).
Plot: Manny and Ellie are readying to have a child. Sid gets parent fever. Diego begins to feel his age.
Sid decides to adopt three eggs he's found, which later turn out to be dinosaurs (huge surprise). The rest of the flick is the main herd trying to rescue Sid, who's been taken away by the real mommy dinosaur.
Along the way, they encounter a new Australian-styled adventurer named Buck, who adds a lot of comic relief.

We thought this movie was really good. We love the characters, they are all great. The visuals are outstanding, they just keep getting better at this stuff. We recommend this movie for the family or just the kid in everyone. My daughter made it clear that we WILL be getting this movie when it comes out on DVD... Dad has no choice.

So, my kids loved it. As an adult, not the best movie I've seen. But, it did keep my attention the whole time. It did have a story line and most of all, both kids really enjoyed it and were so happy they saw it. That is what matters the most, right? Your kids will love it!

The movie was good, I laughed from time to time, although the story-line did not quite captured me. I thought it was going to be more hilarious, but it was only moments. I loved all the characters, they were great. Sid is my favorite, he had me cracking up since the beginning. It's a great childrens film.

As these characters develop further and new ones are introduced, this series just keep getting better! I love that all the original actors are in it, and the addition of Simon Pegg as Buck was just terrific. My 3 yr old daughter loved it and I laughed the whole way through! Gotta admit I liked this movie, and the characters have evolved nicely. The addition of Buck the weasel was a great move. That little guy stole the movie! I was worried that the third installment would be a bomb, but thankfully it wasn't. I strongly recommend this movie for kids and adults. Made me laugh out loud quite a few times, especially Buck. I personally loved the first two movies - but this one definitely missed the mark. I looked over at my 8 year old and she looked like she was watching a documentary on pulled pork. It had a couple funny parts but for the most part dragged. Kids will probably enjoy it but I definitely wasn't impressed.

Lots of jokes that our 3 and 8 year old guests never got! "Ice Age" 3 is clever and entertaining for the whole family. I'm just sorry 3D wasn't available yet at the location we saw it.

We took the family (including 6 and 4yr olds). Both really were into the movie! We all enjoyed the graphics and excitement the movie offered. While we didn't see the 3-D version, the experience was still great, and we will probably return to see the 3-D version soon! Great way to spend an hour and a half with the family on a hot summer day!

A really nice story line. So much action throughout the movie -- keeps the kids interested. (boys and girls alike). And the babies (dinasours) are cute, too!
