Took my nine and a half year old grandson to see it last week. Who doesn't know a "Sid"? Here he is, still trying to be the "cool" one, the "accepted" one, the one who saves the day. Although he doesn't think so, Sid is a star...on so many levels! What I continue to love about Ice Age is the message that family is really all that matters...and when one of our own family members is in an awkward position, or behaving badly, or doing something foolish,we find ourselves saying, "Oh well. We can't choose our families!" But here is a movie that gives the characters the chance to do just that, and by gosh, the family chosen is as crazy and dysfunctional as any family could ever be!

The animation was fantastic. We laughed throughout the entire movie. This movie is great for kids and adults. The only negative is that all these movies are coming out in 3D and we only have 1 theater in town and it does not play any of the movies in 3D. I have no doubt the movie would be even better if viewed in 3D. But, overall a must see.

I was constantly in awe of the real-to-life animation. The entrance to the dinosaur "land" underground was so beautiful, and I was blown away at how real the wooly mammoths' hair seemed.
My daughter is only 17-months old, but even she kept saying, "Wow!" She found it a little hard to sit still, as young kids tend to do, and I think it might have been in part because the screen was very dark at times and not always bright.
But, I thoroughly enjoy the Ice Age movies, and I think they're a great experience for kids of all ages!

My three year old was scared and we had to leave 1/2 hour into it. Usually there is a scary moment or two for kids and then you move on or the funny stuff outweighs the scary moments for the little ones - not the case here.

If your kids liked the first two Ice Age movies, they'll enjoy this one, too. I didn't think it was quite as funny as the first two, but it's still a good movie. New characters are introduced as well - there will probably be an Ice Age 4, but that's fine since the movies are good family entertainment.

I love kid movies and thank God we saw this in 3D, but we almost fell asleep in the beginning. Toward the end it started getting good, but not as good as movies like Shrek.

This movie does not disappoint great animation great new characters and crack me up helium scene. When I got to the theater, I asked the usherette where the 3D glasses were and she said the version I was going to see was not in 3D; the 3D version started almost 2 hours later in another theater. This was the worst of the three Ice Age flicks, but I imagine it was made for 3D as there were some scenes in which we really felt like we were missing out on something. I don't understand why there are two versions and why there wasn't a distinction on the theater's website where I purchased the tickets in advance. It was also unbelievable in that all the dinosaurs lived in some magical underground world. If you saw and enjoyed Ice Age 1 and 2, just enjoy the fond memories and save yourself the 12 bucks.

i loved this movie. the first 2 were a little better but this one had a lot of adult jokes. my nephew enjoyed the movie from beginning to end and so did i. i will make sure i watch it again
