This American Life Live was one of the best shows I've seen of everything I've seen in a movie theatre and live stage combined. The variety, performances, execution and production of the show were phenomenal. I'd go see it again in a heartbeat. I hope they put on this show again year after year.

When I heard that TAL would be adapted into a satellite live feed in theaters, I did not hestitate for a nanosecond to get tickets, even though it was a bit out of the way for me last year. This year's performance was even more entertaining last year's, probably because Ira Glass has learned from his experience on the Showtime network how to give audience a value-plus performance --- if you haven't caught the live show, you're missing out on an outstandingly hilarious performance by Starlee Kine because the radio show wouldn't be able to translate the accompanying Post-It Notes comics by Arthur Jones. Looking forward to next year's live show!!!

The experience of hearing AND seeing TAL via live broadcast provided more fun and pathos than I would've ever expected. Please make it happen again, or on a regular basis, CPR!

I went to see this in theaters last year and loved it so much I wanted to come see it again. It did not disappoint! There is something really unique about attending a movie with an audience full of NPR fans. I would recommend this event to anyone!!

I have become an avid listener of NPR, especially on long drives and love to listen to This American Life. The movie was not any more special than the radio program, other than the visuals. and even those were simple additions (nothing elaborate). I appreciated the simplicity. I enjoyed the atmosphere more than anything, it was exciting and felt like a secret club going into the theater to see a movie that only played at one time on one day (ok...excluding their rebroadcast on May 7th). I would recommend going to experience the energy of the other movie goers... people were excited to be there and we all shared a common interest, a love of this quirky NPR program.

This was a great show all around. As a huge TAL radio fan, it was such a treat to see Ira Glass and all of the wonderful guests.
Please ignore those negative reviews that claim one of the guests "bashed" religion. They're speaking of Dan Savage's heartfelt piece on his conflicting relationship with faith when his mother passed away. There was no bashing, just honest and personal reflections that did not leave a dry eye in the theater.

My husband, who is a big fan, has always told me about "This American Life", recounting the many stories he has heard. This simulcast was my first "This American Life" experience and I am so glad I went...because I am now a huge fan myself!
