Rob Zombie definately went out on a limb w/ this one... totally bizarre w/ plenty of brutal killing scenes and some strange takes on the mind of Michael Myers which are very intriguing. overdone w/ the whole Dr.Loomis book deal dramatics which took up way too much time and could have been replaced with further insight into the mind of Michael Myers or the hallucinations/dreams of his sister. Or even with some more brutal slayings of some of the dumbasz townfolk of Haddonfield. Definately worth the money to see it once, but not twice.

This movie was a terrible attempt at making a great Halloween movie. It really shows that all the company that made it wanted to do was to make a buck. I can't believe that Malek Akkad would let something this pathetic go to the big screen. His father would have never let this happen. Rob Zombie must have been on some really bad s**t when he wrote this. I won't even recognize this movie as being part of the Halloween series it was soo bad!!!

This version of Halloween was disgusting! It was too graphic and too violent. I like the original version because I'm more about the chase while listening to the creepy theme song. Watching Halloween II was like watching Chainsaw Massacre! I hated seeing all the details of the killing. This movie was so graphic as to when Michael savagely stabs his victims; the detailed sound of the knife going in and out of the victims body. When he kills and eats the organs of a dog.... so disgusting! And it sucks that this version doesn't even play the theme song! Booo....I wouldn't recommend it.

The difference between the one in 1981 with Jamie Lee Curtis and the one now with Scout Taylor Compton as Laurie Strode, I love the storyline its excellent, it tells the story from both sides from Michael and Laurie's mind, Laurie is haunted from the events that happened 2 years ago, and now shes starting to realize that she is really Michael Myers sister. This one is better than the original version.

I hated this movie. It was by far the worst thing I have ever seen. I walked it. I understand that artists' interpretation plays a part in the changing of the story, but it also completely changed and ruined the legacy of Halloween, which is that it didn't need to be super gory in order to be scary. In fact, there were no scary parts at all, just a lot of unnecessary violence. This movie is basically- Jason Voorhies put on a Michael Myers mask, and killed people on Halloween rather than at Camp Crystal Lake. I wouldn't watch this movie.

I have a huge love for horror flicks, and Halloween has always been my favorite since it first began way back in the 70's! I think Rob Zombie does a great job of recreating the entire movie. It's much more interesting, and more frightening for this day and age. The older movies became too old fashioned, and weren't scary anymore. The graphics are incredible, and in my opinion, it's not too gory, it's just the right amount. I recommend this movie to anyone who has a liking for horror movies, and has a strong stomach like myself! GREAT MOVIE!

I can't believe the horrible plot with the characters, a white horse come on... you could have done better then that. I also hate the fact how you seen his mother more through the movie then any other character that was alive. the way he made Dr. Lumis and Laurie was rediculous. some people do become successful after horrible events and to make lumis that much of a rude individual was not a good idea I think he ruined the characters and the plot to the first one that was redone.

This halloween sequal was HORRBILE. I almost walked out of the movies cause it was so bad. I went with my Dad, Best friend, and boyfriend and we all thought the ending sucked and the whole movie was confusing and not worth ever seeing. The girl becoming the new killer could possible set up for a third one but if they do decide on making a third one I will be sure not to see it. The movie was very gory but very confusing. Me and my friend didn't know what was real and what wasn't for half the movie. The first remake was very good but this one was just a wreck.

I would give it a 31/2 star. I feel they were both better than the original though I like John Carpenter's movies. Zombie's had more of a plot, esp. the first. I would have like it better if they would have used the boy from the first Halloween to play young Micheal, he did a better job I think. I agree that using Micheal's mother's spirit was a bit tacky and killing off Danielle Harris bummed me out. The ending was a bit confusing but it wasn't all that bad.

Zombie took a legend a serial killer that we grew up on and ruined him. I agree with all of the bad review on this site. Do not waste your money. If you are someone who grew up watching Halloween you are going to be disappointed, leaving the theater wanting your money back. Horrible, its not even worth $5 for a bootleg. There is no stalking, no theme music, Meyers grunts when he kills and they tried to give him emotions the whole point of this movie is that Meyers has no emotions just cold black eyes. The visions of young Micheal and his mother were stupid and dragged on through the whole movie and do not get me started on the end.

Can someone say "Angry Michael"? Each of the killings were extremely "brutal". How many times does a person have to be stabbed to be D-E-A-D? The concept for white horse was very distracting from the rest of the movie. Sheri Moon Zombie was not really needed along with the whole concept of "family". Definitely not worth the $11.75 I paid to see it. Maybe you might get your money's worth if you rent it from Netflix or your local video store.

Saw movie and wasn't to impressed. The movie is definitely gory/graphic which is sweet falls short of reality which many horror films do. Ex: scene in the field after Myers is "beat up" how do you as a person NOT see a 7ft man get up, mind you with truck headlights canvasing the area so its pretty well lit.... proceed to walk around the truck to stab and kill the "unsuspecting" victims. Watch that scene closely, it sort of annoys me but i guess that falls in the genre.... victims are utterly stupid and have no sense of reality at all. Otherwise it was a decent film.... would i watch another flick by Zombie... not likely, unless i need a really good laugh.... but thats just me.

didnt like the ghosts at all. or the little michael. the gore was good except for the fact that the theater had it so dark on screen that u could barely tell what was happening. the movie camera seemed to be shaking alot of the times. i will give this movie a second chance on hd dvd.

Great movie, i haven't jumped this much in a long time. I liked the fact that he made Michael more hard core than the first. Rob Zombie can make an old classic really come to life. I couldn't wait to see this movie, now i can't wait for the dvd.

Worst Sequel ever, period! Nothing like the original Halloween series. How many times does Myers have to stab someone until he thinks they are dead. The stabbings took about five minutes a kill.

The first one was much much better. I actually fell asleep in the theatre for this one. Very dissapointing considering Zombies history with sequels. Devils Rejects was amazing and I expected the same. See it if you saw the first, but otherwise don't waste your time...

I was overall disappointed with this movie along with the 4 people that accompanied me. The whole movie seemed to be reaching to give Sherri Moon a part. Her ghostly presence was far fetched and unnecessary. It distracted from what should be the main characters. I am a huge Zombie fan, but was very disappointed in this film. Worth renting, but not worth movie theater prices in any sense.
