Alright, so we all fell for the lure of the second coming from Rob Zombie because his first attempt was stellar. We all knew when we sat down at the theater that the second version of the majority of movies are never anywhere near the quality of their predecessor and this movie was no exception. Seriously where did we all expect Zombie to go with this one?? I know a lot of us were let down by the lack of quality and story line, but seriously Zombie had minimal story line left. So yes, I was appalled when the grunting began during the murder scenes since part of the allure of the movie is how quiet his murders are and yes I was disappointed in general.

H2 was a great movie, but unless you've seen the 1st you will be totally lost here. There's not much story here because it was laid out in the 1st one. I liked it and feel only true horror fans will appreciate it, I know I do.

Ugh what a waste of money so dissapointed in this flick lacked creativity, just added louder grunts from Michael Myers and louder killing sound effects.I like Rob Zombie in fact I loved his remake on his version of the first Halloween but this movie robbed me of 1hr and 41min of my life... Although an extension of the original "Halloween", a truly horrifying movie, this movie is both predictable and unbelievable in many ways. Although all the blood and violence of a combination of Michael Meyers and Rob Zombie can be found, white, reappearing apparitions of dead family members and a horse will soon have you laughing, taking bathroom breaks, and getting more popcorn. The murders scenes were very predictable as Meyers killed in the same fashion as in the past just harder and louder. Overall, the movie was entertaining however it lacked the suspense and appeal of its predecessors.

Being a Zombie fan, I did enjoy violence and brutal bloodiness throughout the movie, but that was it! I could've walked out at one point b/c there was nothing to follow. I think Zombie did this as a "Corp" movie, maybe he was in a contract?? IDK. I didn't like the way he portrayed Dr. Loomis. Nor using the a different young Michael who couldn't act. The "family" gathering of the Myers in the movie-negative. I know Zombie likes to put Sherri Moon his wife, in his movies but the white horse and ghost could've been left out. I will buy the DVD just to watch director commentary, hoping Zombie is saying "yea, I didn't want to do that, or yea this was not my f*****g idea.

Halloween II was by far the single worst movie I have ever seen. There is nothing redeeming about it. It is sick, violent, and cruel. I would imagine that Moustapha Akkad and Donald Pleasence are turning over in their graves. Dimension FIlms should be ashamed of this. First, there is no plot. The violence exists not for the sake of suspense but for mere shock value. The acting is substandard, and the dialogue is part of the school of thought that believes repeating the f-word over and over makes you "gritty."

I read some of the reviews on here, and the ones that say wait are right! I am a very BIG horror buff. I haven't seen a movie in along time that has scared me but there have been some that are good. Halloween II I was not impressed with. I loved the 1st one by Rob Zombie but this one was not as good! The theme of the movie seemed like he was coping Friday the 13th with the whole Mother thing!! I recommend JUST WAIT FOR TV OR DVD. Don't waste your time and money on the movies!!

The best thing about this movie is the poster. I appreciated what Zombie did with the first film. But do not expect to show up at Halloween II and see that same homage paid..I get that he wanted to put his own twisted touch on it but this movie was nothing more than a senseless blood bath of epic proportions. And the portrayal of Dr. Loomis was just sick...Dr. L always cared about the people in Michael's way and even more so Michael himself. He was never a money hungry slime ball. I felt this was a slap in the face to Donald Pleasance...And last but not least, the only reason to I can figure that Deborah Meyers was in the movie was so Zombie's wife could play a major role in the film. My advice…wait until it comes on TV .

Rob Zombie's Holloween II would only be matched or surpassed if Rob Zombie directed any other classic horror remakes himself. I am not easily frightened by movies such as this but this one had me in fear. The suspense and thrill of the fear put into the audience was spetacular. I give it a perfect 10!

Dont come to see this movie looking for another horror MASTERPEICE like Halloween. As a sequel this movie bombs, horrible plot and bad acting along with poor editing (come on my grandma walks faster than him) kills this as a truly great classic. However, they could have titled this movie Big Grunting Guys Kills Random People, a Rob Zombie film, I would have seen it and enjoyed it without expectations. The death scenes were murdurous artwork and the effects over the top realistic... KUDOS!

The Halloween series is my favorite horror movie series. I loved the first Rob Zombie movie, but this one was horrible. I think he just put a bunch of random things in a hat and picked them out and put them in the movie. It was nothing like his first. It was like Michael was a totally different serial killer. Laurie looked like a hippie, drug addict too. This movie and the plot were too weird. And it didn't follow the original story, like Zombie should have done. Don't waste your money and see this movie. I almost walked out of the theater.

Of course, you know that this movie will include scenes of an unstoppable slasher killing one victim after another going in. What you don't know is that each killing is overdone to the nth-degree. For example, a jerk who works as a bouncer at a strip club gets his face stepped on no fewer than 10 times until it's flattened. Aside from overdoing the killings, it tries to provide you with an explanation for what has been going on inside the mind of Michael Meyers and his sister all this time--it's lame. This movie is not woth your $ and you should skip it. If you do see it, just beware that it gets progressively worse by the minute and what turns you off at the beginning is going to continue until the end.

I loved it. I have been following Halloween from the beginning although I wasnt born yet. I am a horror fanatic. Halloween has been my altime fav movie and I truly enjoyed the remake to the original and the remake to the second Halloween. Although i didnt understand the hold Michael's mom had on him to much during the movie, it did bring light to me at the end of the movie. I would tell others to see this movie.

Rob Zombie is a horror master and genius!! I totally enjoyed the remake of the first Halloween and loved Halloween II!!! I like the fact that Rob Zombie explained things about Michael Myers that we did not understand. After reading most of these reviews, it seems as though the problem that people had with this movie is the fact that it did not stick to the original Halloween II, however, is not the point of a remake supposed to be the new director's point of view and his/her spin on the movie/characters?? Please, people, appreciate this horror movie for what it truly is and his work....GENIUS!!!

Zombie opts to move the setting away from the original ('81), whish is set entirely in the hospital where Laurie is brought after her encounter with Michael. Here, there is a brief homage - set in a hospital - but it turns out to be only a dream. Pity, since it's the only scene in the movie that has life to it.
Speaking of which, when you're relying on dream sequences more than once to create suspense, you're reaching. Dude, this is Michael Myers, not Freddy.
I like Zombie, and think The Devil's Rejects is a horror masterpiece. But this is just plain ol' boring - and that's about as harsh a criticsm as you can give a horror movie.
In the end, makes The Collector look like a cinematic tour de force. And that ain't good. Stay away.

I can not believe how bad this movie is! I have to agree with the other reviews that Zombie's wife really dominated the movie. We saw way to much of her controlling Michael. It reminds you more of Friday the 13th than Halloween. This movie is more of a cheap rip off of other horror flicks like Friday the 13th, and the ending was just like Psycho. Really bad!! Nothing original here. And I too hate the fact that they continued the whole "White Trash" family thing. Sorry Zombie but you just do not do the franchise any justice!!!!!!!!

At first, I had mixed emotions about the movie, but I have to say that Scout Taylor Compton was the highlight of the movie more so than Tyler Mane. I'm a huge Halloween fan but I understand where Zombie was going with this. The only thing that keeps from giving it a perfect 5 is the use of Sherri Moon. I thought she and the new young Michael were completely useless. Other than that, I enjoyed watching the movie

If i had known it was a remake, i wouldn't have went to see it. U can't tamper with a classic film. THEY EVEN TOOK THE THEME MUSIC OUT! It was a bad attempt at mike myers tru character!

Rob Zombie is a brilliant horror film maker!!! I always enjoy the twists and turns. There is no guessing what's coming next. Although there may be some things I would have liked to have seen, I can't complain a bit. It kept me on the edge of my seat and that is what a good horror film is all about!!!
