I love how Rob Zombie changed Michael Myers' old image of a tall demented man into this new character that is so filled with rage and brings fear into your heart. Zombie's goriness added to the effect that made you cringe with every person Michael killed. If you're looking for a GREAT horror movie, without all of the glamour or fake characters, watch this movie!!!

Okay I'm so sick of hearing everyone complain about this movie! First of all Rob Zombie made it not John Carpenter so of course it's going to be different and have it's own sort of twist but that's why I enjoyed it! I don't want the same Michael plot everytime. Rob Zombie put his own mix on it just like he does every movie he makes! It was gory, shocking, scary, evenful, twisted and I loved every minute of it! Thanks Rob now make another Devil's Rejects!

This movie would have been way better if Rob Zombie would have stuck to the story!! I would have to say that the first 10-15 min. was the best part of the movie...seriously! Im a halloween fan...grew up being afraid of Michael Myers...so to see it be remade i thought would be killer!! Rob Zombie should have stuck to the story line!! I enjoyed the movie greatly, finally a movie with some serious killing aggression . Michael Myers showed no mercy towards his victims. Alot of instense moments. I wasn't expecting to much being a sequel from the first one. Even though I like the first one better. But I understand how hard it is to repeat. I'm hoping Rob Zombie makes a Halloween 3 with the sister bringing a new and exciting bizarre of killings since after all she is Michael's sister. Blood is thicker than water and family is forever. Can't wait for the next one.

Big fan of the other rob zombie flicks, but this one he dropped the ball on. I did like what he did with Mikey as far as visuals.. the hobo beard poking from under the mask and showing his one glaring preditors eye threw the mask freaked me out a lil but honestly NOTHING SCARED ME ABOUT THIS MOVIE. It was just borning, even my girl freind gave me a few dirty looks during the movie. Shes a pretty simple girl and for her to say "where was the story?" is saying ALOT! One plus, you see the girl from I think the 3rd Holloweens boobs, shes a hot lil fire cracker!

I don't know why movie directors and visionaries insist on re-making classic movies. If your not going to bring a different element to the movie then just leave it alone. Lets pretend that this wasn't called Halloween so there's no baggage about remakes. It just isn't very good and I have to admit that I do like horror. Suspense was replaced by obligitory brutality. I never felt scared. There was no tension. The idea of the backstory about Michael's childhood and his Mom were ok but less than intriguing or interesting. Yes there is graphic violence (read that as the usual killing) but its boring and repetitive in style and quickly loses its shock value and without that there isn't much meat on the bone. There is no spark of genius here. This one is best left for cable tv on a very very slow night.

I haven't even read any other reviews about this movie but I can safely say with no reservation that this movie must be one of the three worst I've ever seen. Clearly this is a sequel without a purpose. From the time the white horse shows up it just goes down hill from there. The killing is clearly all there is in this movie because the story is so non-excistant. Rob Zombie pushes the term bad movie to a whole new level with this one. Save yourself the money and the time, this does not even warrant a rental.

First of all, this is a Rob Zombie film. NOT TO BE COMPARED TO THE ORIGINAL HALLOWEEN 2. This film was awesomely intense and Rob's vision of horror never fails! He is the master of horror and this film is definately worth your time. If you're looking for a "remake" of the old one, don't bother. This movie delves into the psyche of Michael Myers and is from his point of view. Totally fantastic and a classic to be. Can't wait for Blu-Ray!

It seems too dragged out at times. Just get to the point already. This could have been a 1hour15 movie easily.
Some nice shockers. Some impressive ways of killing...but...just disappointing. Great acting...just a horrible story. Save the money and rent it. Unless you are rich, then go see it.

My suggestion for Rob Zombie's next film. Buy a pound of ground beef. Place this in a dimly lit room. Have his talent-less wife come in and make out with said beef. Then hack it up with a larger than large butcher knife and throw it all over the walls of the room. This would: a) be less self-aware than his last 3 flicks and b) not have nearly as many TRANSPARENT plot devices and c) depending on the price of ground beef could be made for less than what I paid for two tickets to see this totally HORRID film. .

Not scarey at all! Movie was ok. It had a good plot, but I wanted to be on the edge of my seat and I wasn't. Not a movie I would waste my time going to see at the theatre...wait for the DVD.

Too gory for my taste. I've only seen 1 other Rob Zombie movie besided this one (Halloween was the other) and for good reason. Too much blood and guts. The nudity was kept to a minimum, surprisingly but the way Michael Meyers was killing his victims was terrible. And the grunts, was that all about?!?!?! It didn't help matters that some of the patrons decided to take pictures (of the screen) with their camera phones, and with the flash on I might add. WTF!!! Overall, I'm old school so I prefer the original Halloween(s). With that said, would I recommend this movie to a friend, NO. But, if you're someone that's into all the blood and guts, then this movie is for you.

All I have to say is "Michael Meyers NEVER made ANY type of grunting sounds when killing people!!!". He was an IN-Human killing machine and Zombie made him too human! AND I think Zombie used the mother WAY TOO MUCH in this movie (only to use his wife constantly)! In the first scenes in the sanitarium and at the end in the shack is ALL we needed to see of her! WHAT was with the dumb white horse??? I have to say the gore was INTENSE AND AWSOME though!

Like another reviewer said -If this was called anything else other than Halloween 2, it would receive high praise. Zombie's movie would be recognized as a frightening piece of depraved horror which gives glimpses of what is going on in Michael Myer's damaged brain. There is Zombie's usual visual and musical mastery, as well as humor and an original twist on the subject matter which is done very well. Myer's fantasy world and reality are cleverly interwoven in this very creative vision. Unfortunately, this movie is being unjustifiably trashed because of the title, the extreme violence, the new directions it takes, and because Rob Zombie is the director. What a shame. This is destined to become a horror classic----in 20 years.

I wouldn't say its the best movie I've seen all year but it wasn't horrible.The thing that annoyed me was he kept on finding these huge knifes where ever he went;like he had a membership to the knife emporium.
