This was a pretty good movie, even though it wasn't quite what's advertised. It's not as much of a comedy as the trailers lead you to believe. I'm not a huge Vince Vaughn fan, so luckily the on-screen time was spread out fairly evenly. The movie dealt with couples dealing with their problems, more so than the comedy that's advertised in the trailers. There were some funny moments, particularly the yoga scenes, but mainly the movie focuses on the couples. The ending is a bit predictable, but I still thought it was worth the time.

I enjoyed this movie very much. It was all that I expected after watching the trailer. I think part of the fun is the actors that were chosed to play the roles. Like Vince Vaugh, I mean the guy is funny whether he talks or not! This is a movie you see when you want to be entertained. Some movies educate and some entertain. With that being said during the "therapy" sessions they actually make some very good points.
It was a fun movie with a lot of interesting characters and atractive people. You want to see it on the big screen to get the effect of being on the tropical island.
We found ourselves laughing and really enjoyed the movie. I liked it so much that I will end up renting it and watching it again.

My girlfriend and I went to see this movie the other night, and it was one of the funniest movies we've seen in quite awhile. Sure, there are some very funny moments in "Couples Retreat." For example, you'll see Vince Vaughn do his usual rambling thing and be funny at it. You'll also enjoy Faizon Love be great at playing the funny-because-he's-fat-and-lovable guy. What you won't get is a tight enough story that ties all this stuff together. My husband and I spent a fun evening watching this together. It was truly a fun and funny movie! Most couples will be able to relate to one or several of the couples and their issues. If you saw the trailer, then you saw the movie. Don't waste your time or your money on this one. Let's see, four couples go to this "magical' island to work on their problems, they get lured by the sights and sounds of the 'singles' part of the island, and then they realize they want to be together and live happily ever after. Couples Retreat was funny an entertaining. This one is worth the cost of admission and not waiting for it to come out on DVD.

This was......fluff. Funny enough, just, but with a honking big product placement endorsement in the middle of it and a way too wrapped up ending. We advise passing on it in the theater and getting it on DVD.
